I know Leah apologised to Justin, and that's good, but it feels like pretty much the minimum. What's she going to do next time she sees Lacey or David? (Even Cassandra seems to be on her hit list now!) I kind of wish Alf had gone further with his talk to her but I guess you have to pick your battles and getting her and Justin talking again was a first step. But I was genuinely shouting at her when she was yelling at everyone in sight.

If Wendell was really sorry, it would have been better for everyone, including him, if he'd confessed before trying to kill Lacey and killing Theo instead. I guess he just had nowhere else to go by the end. We get a face to the voice with his lawyer, who the credits confirm was the same Kim Knight we once heard ringing David to warn him off. But yeah, there's nothing to celebrate here. Lacey got the answers and justice she wanted but the price was too high. If you gave her a choice between this, and Theo being alive with Wendell getting away with it, I suspect she'd choose Theo now.

Poor Remi, every time he finds a big thing that he thinks is going to be his dream going forward, something comes along to sour it. I can see why he and Justin just don't have the energy for this at the moment.

Guessing Alf knew how far to push it with Leah, he has known her long enough.   I think part of her overreacting was because she feels guilty about her last words to Theo and now can't take them back.   Her and Justin can visit Theo's grave and yes I know it's not the same but she can say goodbye and apologise to him there.

We wouldn't have this dramatic SL if Wendell had confessed before now but at long last he finally has.   Maybe and it's just my thought, he'd blanked out what happened to Kristina and Jo.  David  must have been in such torment but once again he handled it very professionally.  We did see the night before how he really felt when he was taking it out on the lockers which Wendell heard.  He did finally ring his unnamed lawyer, not sure why it took him so long.  Anyways we all got the confession everyone wanted, maybe it was the news David gave his lawyer that Wendell's car, the one he was driving when he hit Theo, had been found and forensics would find  Theo's  blood on it.  Now he's been charged with murder, attempted murder and causing the death of Kristina Langham and leaving the scene of an accident. I know he said it was because he had been fiddling with his radio and took his eyes off the road which is why he swerved but I'm  wondering if it was really that? Could he have been driving under the influence though of course we or any of them will know that for sure.

More bittersweet moments with David telling Jo and Lacey it's finished, at least we hope so, they have lost so much as a family, all that bitterness, anger, pain when they should have been healing together.  I had the same thought there Red about the price being  too high for Lacey, I think she would have chosen Theo over justice.   She was  blaming herself  earlier when she was talking to Sonny.

So sad when she visited the flat to pick up her stuff and saw Theo's guitar there.  I'm supposing neither Leah and Justin have been  able to face up to picking Theo's gear up.  That was a sad note she was writing to Bree, Sonny and Dana.

Justin has a lot on his plate at the moment so no surprise he's turned down Remi's offer of being manager, he must also feel he's taken one step forward and six back.  This is one of those things that money can't fix. Sonny did try and lighten the mood but to no avail.

Not a secret, it's just confusing when you talk as though it's already happened. But maybe that's just me and my tendency to compartmentalise.

He does know she doesn't know and said he'd tell her?

So, because Leah can't go to the funeral, no-one else can, because everything revolves around her? I had a really big problem with that. I'd like to think that people who weren't in the episode like Mali and Abby were there, but I doubt it. I noticed that, despite telling Mali he'd let him know the funeral details, Alf didn't seem in any rush to spread the news here, which feels a lot colder than Cassandra (who doesn't know them) not sending out invites. Even worse, Lacey isn't invited to Leah holding court over who is and isn't allowed to remember Theo and how, and yet David doesn't say a word to her about the funeral being in a few hours. (Okay, to be fair, he knew the previous night, so possibly they've already had that discussion.) I'm not seeing any sign of Leah moving on, she's still consumed with this blind hatred of Lacey which seems to have extended to her entire family (is she going to start sniping about Jo next?). And while I can see why they did it, everyone pussyfooting around her and enabling her delusions isn't helping. I can understand why Lacey didn't want to keep things from Leah, but rocking up the way she did was never going to get any other reaction. I hope people rally around her now, having her disappear for a week wasn't the best way of handling it.

So Cash and David catch Wendell, who seemed to put up a surprising amount of fight for a slightly portly middle-aged bloke, in order to give David an excuse to half-throttle him. I'm not sure if there is conflict of interest on this show unless the storyline needs it: It's a small town, police officers interview people they know all the time. It has to be said, whilst Wendell turning up to Kristina's funeral when no-one knew who he was is one thing, he'd have to be pretty suicidal to turn up to Theo's funeral when he must know the police are looking for him and could have circulated a description.

Still no word on where Remi's living beyond Eden speculating he's rented a penthouse. We haven't seen or heard from Bree recently, so I'm wondering if she's still in the city talking to the medical people and there's space free at the flat. Then again, where would Remi sleep, Bree's room or Theo and Lacey's?! Seems despite what I thought I heard yesterday, he has paid Cash and Eden's rent for a year, not the rest of the year.

Yeah I was thinking;

"HTF's he's getting away, he's built like Phil Jupitus!'"😂

Just a heads up that there is NO evening showing tomorrow, so if you watch at teatime you'll need to watch the full hour at 6, watch at lunchtime tomorrow, or stream (episode obviously already available.)

Also, as a PSA, skip the promo if you don't want the cliffhanger instantly resolved. 🙂

Well, the major players have used up their episodes, so we're back seeing how those a bit more removed are dealing with Theo's death. The shine's gone off for Remi but Sonny eventually hit on the right angle to convince him that pushing ahead with the label could be a tribute to Theo. I was curious about the guitar: I guess in all the fuss of being dragged to the police station, Cassandra never got around to picking up Theo's stuff! We see the other side of Lacey's decision to move out, with Sonny and Dana learning she's gone and Dana getting to chat to her on the phone.

Meanwhile, Jo's kind of the leftover Langham, chatting to Tane until going to join her family off screen. So they manage a second kiss, and Harper is a bit calmer about it now so..?

Harper does of course come to a realisation of her own via some rather contrived comments from Dana and Marilyn. It's a difficult balancing act. Harper has, to an extent, managed to put her upbringing behind her and move on, while it always seems to have hung over Dana one way or another. Anyway, see how that particular quest develops in the new UK finale! (And thanks for the reminder that we've only got the Channel 5 showing tomorrow, James Martin, I kept meaning to mention it and forgetting.)

Were the Mathesons in foster care? I was a little confused by the talk of them leaving as I thought they were - did they just leave home as soon as they were old enough?

The SL has moved on to other happenings, but I suppose they will come back to it.

I had the same thought as Sonny re Remi keeping the record label deal going, keeping it would help other young musicians like Theo to get  a foot in the door.  Remi will need to find another manager seeing as Justin  has stepped down.   Sonny comes across as a wild card but he does have feelings and has good ideas.

We saw that Sonny and Dana found Lacey's note and although we only heard Dana's  side of it it was good she rang Lacey.

Not the best idea of Dana/Sonny that Remi could move in to replace Lacey, I know Bree isn't there  at the moment as she is attending those  conferences in the city and Remi would have to move out again when she is back.

Tane is taking it slowly but I did smile about Jo teasing him about his non drunken email and she made the first  move, kissing him and she looked back when she walked away.   Tane also mentioned she hadn't any more panic attacks since she had the therapy sessions so she David and Lacey could visit Kristina's grave as a family together.  It was a  good talk they had about ykw.  Double edged sword with someone pleading guilty, it spares the family the ordeal of  a trails but sometimes they don't get to find out why the guilty party did what they did to their loved one.  I'm guessing Cassandra will have been involved.

Loved the scene with Alf and Archie, he did look like a proper grandad even though he didn't know any of his grandsons when they were at that age through no fault of his own.  He mentioned that he'd seen Ryder although it was longer than the 'few days' that he told Harper it was.  I'm trying to remember what prompted him to do that.   He has two more Bryce and Ric, there is also a granddaughter -  Martha.

Both Harper and Dana have been very quiet about their upbringing, all they have said it was very disturbing, drink and or drugs wasn't it?  Harper more or less brought herself and Dana up.  Their upbringing is what  made Harper go into SW. From what little has been said I think Harper left as soon as she was old enough and took Dana with her.  It is, therefore, surprising she'd want to track them down, mainly to see if they had changed.  Once you go too far down that path you can't reverse.

Not giving too much away,  I hope, she was cajoling Cash to check on the police files to track them down.  I'm supposing we will see the outcome of that when 'we' come back so could be one or two new characters turning up in the bay.🤔 Do we know when that is likely to be?

Nought to do with ought but in the opening credits we see Eden with streaks in her hair which she hasn't had recently.  Again I have to ask why no blonde guys in the bay?
