I thought it was well handled, it has only been a couple of days since he died so some may not have realised what had happened, just been wondering where he was.  We didn't 'hear' Alf telling Mali and Abby just saw their shocked faces, then Levi hearing' the news and wondering if he should tell Mac, Abby I guess was advising not to tell her, but of course she was behind him and he had to tell her.  I could see why he didn't want her to hear more bad news but on the face of it  she took it so coolly, but then we saw her true reaction both in her and Levi's bedroom and in the storeroom at Salt.  I'm supposing Mac is hiding her true feelings about at as once she acknowledges it, it'll be true, it must be like that for a lot of women and their other halves/husbands. Sometimes it can be the other way round mum to be wants to talk  and he doesn't. I felt for Levi as he wants to talk about it but is being shut down. That dinner with Abby and Mali was so awkward, no-one not knowing what to say. His decision  to  go back to work may have seemed out there to Abby, but he felt he wasn't helping Mac by being there so being out of the way would better for them both.

Mali was so unsure whether to ring Lacey and tell her not to worry about work even if that may have  sounded a little crass, or just text, email so say how sorry he and Abby are.

That was so sad when Tane was talking to Archie and telling him life could be good  but there could also be bad parts. He lost both of his brothers and his wife so knows about the bad parts.  From what  I could gather he hadn't yet told Harper.  His talk with Jo appeared to help them both come  to terms with the news about Theo. Funny how once again Theo's name wasn't mentioned.

I felt Bree had to be the one to tell Remi, even more poignant  as he'd just been telling someone about his new signing, he did need that hug  although he did ask which Bree is this - I know - the one that still cares for him.  Then him listening to Theo singing on that record really rubbed it in as it was an appropriate song.    I guess someone  will be telling Kirby as they were very much a  couple.  It does seem that Dana and Sonny are out of town so another pair who will have to be told, ditto Cash and Eden when they come back from honeymoon.  I did notice on the promo she was called Mrs. Newman. It looked an amazing place.

I may be second guessing it but I think Sonny will blame himself as he, inadvertently, introduced Theo to the RB's.  he'll think if he hadn't done that, Theo wouldn't have met Lacey, they wouldn't  have become a couple and he wouldn't have got caught up in the cross fire with Jo and now him dying because of it.  It's rather tenuous but your mind can lead you down some strange paths.

Well, hopefully that's everyone told now (I continue to assume Tane would have told Harper), except for Cash and Eden, who have a good reason. It was a bit contrived that Sonny and Dana hadn't been told until now, but they came up with a reasonable excuse for it, and I did like the scenes of them and Remi supporting each other and then Dana chatting to Mackenzie and Mali.

Mackenzie continued to be frustrating for the first part of the episode but it looks like Mali's words got through. But yeah, bad timing that she got that message from Dean just as she was considering talking to Levi: Like Mali said, it can be both good news and bad timing. I don't think Mackenzie slid back completely. She might have leaped on this idea of visiting Dean and family as a magic solution, but she does at least seemed to have convinced herself it would be better for everyone else, rather than being cold and dismissive of their feelings. We'll see how Levi reacts to it. (Incidentally, in all the fuss about spreading the news of Theo, I'm wondering who knows about the miscarriage. Abby was obviously filled in off screen but does Tane know?)

Cash and Eden's side story worked a lot better than the Dana/Sonny and Tane/Jo ones at the start of the week, because it actually makes sense for them to be out of the loop of what's going on in the Bay. I guess the comment about "You're not going to correct him?" is confirmation that, like every woman who gets married on the show these days, Eden isn't going to use her married name. It's better than them having a debate about it when we know what the answer will be. And good to see them happy too.

It wouldn't have been the most brilliant idea of ringing Cash and Eden to tell them about Theo. That will be enough of a shock for then when they get back, especially Eden, though Cash was the first person to 'meet' him when he arrived in the bay.

It did, it seemed, that Dana  and Sonny had taken an day off after their Harper and baby sitting duties.  We didn't see Remi telling them just the after effects with them at Remi's and talking  about him then at the Surf Club. Sonny saying how he and Theo just got each other, no offence to Remi.

It was a bitter sweet text message that Mac got just as she was about to ring Levi, Mali did a good job there persuading her to do that.  It was bad timing, she said the baby wasn't even a baby but would still be painful so only natural should grieve.  Her decision to go off and say hello to Danielle her new niece may be rash but if she thinks it would be helpful who's to say it's not wrong. Is she going to text, ring Levi or let Abby or Mali tell him?

Good point about whether Tane has been informed.

Nice to see some light-heartedness with Eden and Cash on their honeymoon, looked a beautiful place, used  it's real name too.  Cash must have either been saving his money or Senior Constables wages are very good as I don't expect it's that cheap.  They did venture out of the bedroom then. 🤣  It would  been  a real waste of money otherwise.

Eden did tease Cash about being called Mr. Fowler so yes, I'm guessing she's going  to be keeping her maiden name.  Eden and Cash are on a real high at the moment but as happens with most soap couples there will be hiccups and some of likely to be big ones, no-one is perfect, it's how they deal with them.

We saw in the promo that  Cassandra turned up at Leah and Justin's and it wasn't the most comfortable of visits.  One point - Cassandra had a go at Leah for not letting her know Theo had moved out, excuse me why should she have to tell her, Theo is/was 25 not 15 so why didn't he tell her?  Did he even tell his mum about Lacey, did they even meet?

Meant to say kudos to Maz for stepping up to cover Leah's shifts at the Diner. 👏

Alf's episode count this week:Four.

Well, that's a blow to Leah. She's desperately trying to induct Cassandra in her We Hate Lacey club, only for Cassandra to look at the evidence and decide that the person she's going to take it out on (because the person who's really responsible isn't available) is Leah herself. Will this teach her a lesson in empathy? I'm not holding my breath. The fact that Theo told Cassandra next to nothing about his relationship with Lacey, his latest troubles and where he was living demonstrates what an upper hypocrite he was constantly badgering Lacey to spend time with her family.

Mackenzie really wasn't giving Levi anything. She looked a bit human at the end there but that was as far as it went. If Levi's worried she won't come back, then he probably should have asked her about that, instead of waffling on.

Cash and Eden get back from their holiday to a surprise then...possibly a nice one? I'm not sure where Remi's gone. My first thought was that he'd stay with Sonny, but that seems unlikely with Bree there. Did I hear that he's paid up for the rest of the year? Generous and everything but isn't that only two or three months? Not exactly set up for life!

I seem to remember it took them at least a few days to take Irene off the credits, so see if Theo's still there next week. (I assume Channel 5 have been provided with a version without him?)

See what I mean about the difference in their faces?  2nd one is slightly rounder.  Also that mole on her cheek.

I really hope this is a joke I'm not getting and you're not actually trying to insist Lacey has been recast, because a quick look at the credits shows that's not true. Unless you're claiming there's some massive cover-up going on? (As an aside, despite all the hang-wringing about how that should have been the UK finale, it wasn't even the end of week cliffhanger in Australia: The next episode was shown the next day.)

Strange that Theo hasn't been taken out of the credits yet.

@James Martin  See what I mean about the difference in their faces?  2nd one is slightly rounder.  Also that mole on her cheek.

The mole has always been there.

Lighting and the focal length of the lens can have a surprising effect on how someone's face can look on-screen, depending on how far it is zoomed in.

We saw Irene in the opening credits during  the week after she left the bay, it was only the next week, she had gone from them.

It did seem from Cassandra's reaction to Leah telling her about Theo and Lacey Theo hadn't told her about his new girlfriend or had moved out  and neither was she told about Theo's stay in ND's after being crushed by the car Leah made the lame excuse that Theo was an adult so she didn't have to be told,  but even so Cassandra is his mum so it should be her choice if she wanted to see him. How would she have felt if VJ had been in hospital in Cyprus and no-one told her?  I don't know if Theo was being a hypocrite  by not telling his mum about Lacey, maybe he knew she'd be getting the third degree from Cassandra.

Remi's mum and dad weren't told about his accident or we didn't see them visit or if they even knew.

I did like the way Cassandra 'asked' Leah to leave so she could talk to David on her own, that way she could get the facts without Leah chipping in with her two penn'orth.

That may have been a knee jerk reaction by Cassandra banning Leah and Justin from Theo's funeral which may be in the city.

It rumbles on next week too.

We did get another chance to see Eden and Cash's honeymoon place which I have to say again was beautiful and a lovely surprise for them with Jimmy's bottle of champagne and Eden repeating she was glad he was at the Wedding.

I had the awful  thought Remi had told them about Theo on his text/note but no it was saying he'd moved out and the place was all  theirs  and he'd paid the rent for a year, well that's how I heard it. It'll give them plenty of time to save money to buy or rent another place.  Was his bike there, he may have taken himself off somewhere to gather his thoughts.  PS to that it would have been awkward for Eden moving in with Tane, Harper and Archie or Cash moving in with Remi.

It was left to Alf, again, to break the news, though he did come across as a bit of a drongo thinking they already knew by  saying he hoped the news didn't spoil their honeymoon too much.  Did they look like they were upset? 🙄 It certainly knocked the wind out of their sails.

Maz is still doing her Good Samaritan duties, keep the Diner together and cooking for Leah & Justin.

Seems, so far, Wendell has gone to ground, they have blocked his passport so he can't leave the country though he may have left the State and Aus is a big country.  Cash did have the  thought  about him turning up at Theo's funeral, as he went to Kristina's, wherever that maybe, crims do tend to do that.  But in this case the police know who the crim is so he'd be taking a huge risk  as they will be looking out for him.   But I think I said last time he may have been there in an 'official' capacity, local councillor attends funeral of local police officer's wife.

I didn't blame Mali for dubbing Mac in to Levi, he needed to know face to face, not getting  a text/phone call after she'd gone.  It did appear that neither Dean or Ziggy knew about the IVF, but I'm wondering if she will open up to them and one of them will persuade her to talk to Levi.  It would be such a shame if this breaks them up but sadly it can do that to couples.

'Our' last week this week so I wonder how that will end?  I have read some things but keeping quiet. 🤐🤫🙊

I think you've watched the 5 Star episode there - but slightly less of a spoiler, Theo is replaced by a stock drone shot of the lighthouse, which I think was a mainstay of the title cards in the 2010's.

Guess it's just my eyes then.  I'd swear they were 2 different women.  I wondered if Lacey's stunt double was having to stand in for a while because she wasn't available to film for some reason.

It's not unusual for stunt/crew members/other cast members dd to  stand in for others in long shots or closeups, tbf.
