There's always nit  pickers. 🙄

Must be some reason TPTB decided to hold back on 'our' last day before the break, they must get many views on what people 'want' so can't expect to please everyone.

Even if no-one on here knew what was going to happen there were enough 🚩's and 🔔 bells ringing to know all was not going to end well for either Lace or Theo.  Him catching  the  bouguet was the first one and letting Leah in on his wish to marry Lacey, he may have been to propose on their holiday.  Leah does tend to do that, hates/loves/hates/loves Theo's girlfriends depending  on what they are doing and how they are treating Theo.  I know she's NOT his mum and even if she were he is an adult as he said very forcibly to Leah when he followed Lacey.  Leah is going to regret those 'last  words' she said to Theo.

I'm guessing the Wedding venue isn't that far from the bay as Lacey got there pretty quickly and then they had to get to wherever they were meeting Wendell, but as happens in the bay it was dark by then.  Did I mishear or did Lacey tell Wendell to meet her in two hours at the meeting place.

Lovely moment when Debra and Jimmy were dancing.  Glad he confided in Debra about Mac's loss and he thought quick there when Abby and Eden asked where he - Levi - had gone saying he'd had an emergency call from the hospital.   Another lovely moment was when he hugged Debra and Eden.  He was so pleased she was wearing her grandmothers pendant.

I di think that dance floor looked like a giant chessboard.

It was a lovely song they played for  Cash and Eden, so apt.

John did a lovely job and his final words "My work here is done" was so him.

I liked Eden's ring, it will look so right with the Engagement ring, most brides take the Engagement ring off before the ceremony, as the Wedding ring goes at the bottom of your ring finger and the Engagement ring goes on top.

Glad we saw why Lacey wasn't at the Wedding, she was with Jo who was having another hypnotherapy session. It revealed a bit more that someone who we know is Wendell went to the passenger door, felt Kristina's pulse, but very cleverly or sneakily didn't show his face to Jo so didn't really help her.  That wouldn't explain why Jo thought he looked surprised/shocked to see her at the cop shop.  Conversely if he did know Jo was the passenger he couldn't contradict Lacey when she told him she was.  Anyways he wasn't going taking any chances as he was going to run her over but Theo grabbed her out of the way.  I may have been seeing things differently but it looked to  me as if Theo  was the furthest away when Wendell's car went by them.🤔

David would indeed be barred from being  involved in the case. TPTB would bring in another senior officer from another force, won't stop him from hovering about though. Will Jo let him in what she remembered?

I don't know how they define murder in Aus but here in the UK murder or attempted murder is when it is premeditated.  This wasn't, at least as far as we know, Wendell had murder in mind when he turned up.

As we saw in the promo Leah blames Lacey for Theo being hit, going to be  a busy time for Bree when Theo is brought into ND's.

The wedding yes I know it’s a wedding and it’s about love and crap lol If it was happening to me though I would go all out on the romantic stuff but it wasn’t and these people aren’t real so I didn’t really care haha

But that was abit too lovey dovey for me plus they seem to have been planning for the last century so I’m glad it’s over now

Theo and Lacey stuff was better but I should’ve known it wasn’t going to be Hollywood effects

I think the problem I have with Mac and Levi  is and I’m no expert here but to me they seem to have been trying for a baby in what seems like an average trying period for a couple it doesn’t really feel like ages to me

The writers got it slightly wrong though isn’t supposed too be A birth marriage and death so really Mac should have had a baby while Levi was at the wedding

I thought it looked too similar to the Farmhouse, and that location having been on screen so frequently recently just made me wonder why they didn’t just get married there.

I actually said the exact same thing when I first saw it - they no doubt used a nice chunk of budget to spend a couple of days on this crew jolly 'away shoot' up in the Hunter Valley (a near 200km drive), but ended up choosing a location where the landscape looked practically identical to the existing areas they use around the Hawkesbury.

Could have used the farmhouse location as you say....'Gary's farmhouse' which is only 10mins further... or any of the rustic/country wedding venues in that area, and it'd have been indistinguishable. 🤷‍♂️

Yet he did make the decision to run Lacey down so that is premeditated in my book.  It wasn't an accident, it was deliberate.

But did he go there with the intention of running down whoever he thought he was meeting but an on the spot decision.  It's very debatable.  Lacey will be  is the only witness and of course his lawyers will argue she has  good reason to blame him.

I don’t think Wendell had the attention of killing anyone up until the point he realised Lacey wouldn’t stop and she wasn’t going accept a pay off or be blackmailed I think that was probably what Wendell thought he was going to be able to do when he got back in the car and just before he drove at Lacey you could see in his eyes it was a split second decision of knocking her down

Hm, might have been better to have the end of year break last week as wouldn't have been so easy to notice the change in the actress playing Lacey.  They're a close match, but I'm sure it's a different actress playing her now.  Her face is slightly more rounded and her eyes slightly different.

I’m not looking forward too listening or watching Leah grieve because she’s always like that anyway so it doesn’t really mean anything

im more interested to see how this effects Justin it good to see him cry because he’s always so upbeat

Premeditation seems to differ between countries and I'm not sure what the exact wording is in NSW, but it doesn't necessarily mean you had to make the decision hours earlier. Seconds can be enough. Wendell started that car and drove at speed with the intention of killing someone and did. That's murder.

As with the rejected Neighbours end of season cliffhanger, I wonder if Channel 5 looked at what they were supposed to come back with and went "Er, no." Because it would be a bit of a letdown to wait six weeks to be told "That guy you thought might be dead? Well, he is. And you don't even see him except as a distant body double and a clip from last episode." I think it works a lot better when you're coming back to it after the weekend rather than this being a big season return that doesn't really move things any further on. (But I guess we'll see how what we get instead works.)

It was a decent enough episode and the subdued behaviour from Lacey works. It was frustrating that, even after this, she wanted to go and sort things out herself, but maybe David's words struck home. Conflict of interest aside, he did a decent job of staying professional.

Leah regressing through four months of character development is frustrating. It's ridiculous enough to have Theo get murdered about six months on from an entire unrelated murder attempt, but having Leah react in the exact same way as if the close relationship we've seen build between her and Lacey never happened just adds to the groundhog day feel. As then, yes, it's kind of Lacey's fault, but the fact that there was someone a lot more to blame doesn't seem to have registered. But yeah, Lacey misjudged the situation going to see her. I feel some sympathy for her, and I did like her scenes with Justin and the way he's trying to support her while masking the fact that he loved Theo too. I guess they brought Alf back last week so he'd be here for this.

I'm in two minds about the Sonny/Dana B-plot. I guess I can see what they were going for, having some light-hearted scenes alongside the heavy grief going on elsewhere. But in many ways it feels like a plotline that belongs in 1995, not 2025. With the ubiquity of mobile phones (and with Alf and Marilyn clued in), you'd expect Theo's flatmates to be told pretty much straightaway that he's dead, not still be bumbling around oblivious hours later with the episode having to rely on rather contrived circumstances to have them not encounter anyone involved in the main plot. (At least not on screen: They even seem to have seen Marilyn that day! Did Justin's phone call come in just after they left or something?)

Ouch. 😂

They certainly went very light on Sophea's makeup, and if I had to do that many crying scenes in one go (I'm not sure how close the interior scenes were shot together) my eyes would also be shot to s**t too to be fair.

I thought the whole catatonic thing was done really well.

The Aussies were all like "oh God, weeks of Ada screeching" when this aired down under, but I think she's doing the early stages of grief quite accurately.  Denial is a huge part at the start.
