I continue to find Theo's constant pestering rather grating. Okay, if he wants to hang out with David and Jo, I guess Lacey can't dictate who he's friends with, even if it is a bit disloyal. But he's so deluded, and so inconsiderate towards her actual feelings rather than what he wants them to be, that he actually expects a pat on the head from her for spending time with the family she hates, and not without reason. Jo was rather annoying at times as well: It didn't seem to enter her head that she doesn't have a version of events, just a vague "I don't remember what happened", so why does she think David trying to find out what happened means he doesn't believe her? Just to underline that she's not the innocent party here, she then accuses Lacey of putting him up to it, in exactly the same way that Lacey accused her of scaring off the PI. Indirectly, I guess it is down to Lacey, but as the recap reminds us, it's more down to something Jo said.

Well, again an attempt to cheer up John doesn't end that well for him, but again he seemed to get some enjoyment out of it anyway, and I guess there was some wisdom to what Tane said about occupying him.

It didn't quite work how Mali wanted the trip to go, so it was Tane 'playing' the HRIY Man.  Was that a kookaburra I saw in the tree when they left?  It seemed John appreciated  what Mali and Tane were trying to do and as Mali said he does have friends in the bay but as John said his and Iren's friendship was special and he did mention  he was seeing her in  few weeks. Tane did deny to Mali of being jealous of Harper going on a date, but was that call to her to see how Archie was just an excuse?  he only saw him the day before. He did kind of blank Jo when she texted him saying 'he was busy' why not just say he was on a camping trip?  She did take him to task about it when she ran into him at the Surf Club.   He did try and tell her his plans were cut short so had to chase after her to explain but then she got distracted when Lacey walked into view.

David's BBQ didn't quite go the way he hoped it would with Jo finding that file and right away accusing David of not believing her when she said she couldn't remember - it did bring on a panic attack - so I believe she is genuine that she can't remember.  it was pretty much a given she'd find it.  Before all of that we really saw  a different side of David - with him boogieing on down - 🤣.  Jo has taken Harper's old bedroom, that room has seen plenty of action over the years, so many lasses have been seen hopping out and in that window. Anyways it was a tad frosty when Leah, Justin and Theo rocked up so no surprise it fell very flat.  Was some light fun with Leah bringing  along just  a 'few' nibbles. 😁🙄

Both Jo and Lacey accuse the other of putting David up for something, he does tend to use Theo of being a middle man between him and Lacey though so he's not entirely innocent.

Alf's episode count this week:Three, and then he left town.Mackenzie, Cash and Abigail were all absent: We know about the first two but did I miss someone saying Abby was out of town?

David's daughters almost swapped round here, with Lacey being friendly with him and Jo thinking they're conspiring against her.David isn't happy that him having the file is common knowledge, but it was Jo who was spreading it around town, and he doesn't even know she told Tane! Would Lacey be happy with him saying there's nothing more to find? Because, you know, there clearly is.

I found Tane's explanation a lot more likely than him being jealous: We know he doesn't like Harper like that, but it's in character for him to be unhappy at the idea of another man playing a role in Archie's life. Harper's date was important enough to actually appear this time then, although Dana's used up her three episodes so the debrief has to happen over the phone!

As Marilyn said, it's in character for Cohen's letter to be more concerned with how Roo is, he did much the same with his mum.I'm kind of waiting for the letter that Roo says she'll never send to Cohen to accidentally get posted by someone. Maybe they'll surprise us?

Irene leaving the furniture behind makes even less sense now David has completely replaced it all, having Irene leaving an empty Beach House would’ve been so much more powerful.

However, it’s lovely to see the Beach House patio in use again, hopefully the whole set will become a more commonly seen playing space now.

Given David said he wanted to use one of the bedrooms as an office, then obvious choice would’ve been the downstairs one, but then again there may be a box room upstairs. I assume it’s more likely the convenience of having a bedroom set available.

There's only that one bedroom (what was Harper's, now Jo's) we really ever see TBF.  Tasha, Belle, Kirsty... everyone's stayed in there at some point!

Liked the "I'm not buying protection!" line, again there's been a nice amount of humour this week.
