I noticed they still have Lynne in the opening credits and not just dumped her.  Maybe next week?

I didn't feel the same way about Theo having a go at Lacey about not wanting having anything to do with her family, he is kind of estranged from his due to what his dad did, he only sees his mum but I'm guessing he doesn't have any contact with his unnamed brother.  It was a big ask David to suggest she move in with Jo being there and once again David asked Theo to be the in between man and get her to change  her mind. Irene left a lot more than furniture behind then, crockery and cutlery etc. It may just me but I'm thinking David would buy new beds so they would be his, Jo's and Lacey's.

Roo got her own letter then and eerily enough Irene did 'say' Roo should trust her instincts which when it all went weird with Adrian did seem spot on.  I had the thought that maybe his family didn't know about Cohen which unless he was married at the time of Cohen's birth doesn't make sense either that or it's something more sinister.  Promo did show Roo was trying to explain to Cohen it wasn't anything to do with him but understandably enough he didn't want to know.  She was seen nagging David to reveal Adrian's home address which of course he can't tell her.  Did look like she was pumping Cash for the same info.  I'm guessing, though it hasn't been mentioned, Adrian doesn't have any criminal record or spent time inside.

There is Celia, Barbara,  Debra and Colleen(half), Morag would have been number five but of course Cornelia Frances died but it was never said that Morag died, just never been talked about or even mentioned which I think was bit of  a rebuff by TPTB, wouldn't have been  that hard for them to say she'd died and Alf and Roo if she'd been around then to got to her funeral in the city.

That was a lovely idea by Mali and Abigail that Levi and Mac have a beach picnic to take their minds of the upcoming next round of IVF.  Good thinking by one of them that it was alcohol free booze.

Alf's episode count this week:Five! For the second time in three weeks.

There is definitely an irony that Roo spent all that time trying to get rid of Adrian and now she's the one that has to get him back. I'm not sure about Cash putting pressure on David (Harper, we're told, also refused to break confidentiality) or Roo suddenly assigning herself this crusade. I realise that the rules of the show mean the main characters have to do everything important, but presumably if Roo had gone through the official channels, then social services would have got in touch with Adrian and found out what the heck he's playing at. Maybe it wouldn't have worked but it feels like Roo should have at least given them a chance and focused on looking after Cohen, which is what she's supposed to be there for. Adrian was there for the first three months of Cohen's life, remember. If his family didn't know about it, it must be awkward for him to tell them that he more or less knew he had a son and kept quiet about it all these years.

Cash and Eden belatedly realise that they need somewhere to live when they get married. Given Remi seemed to be fairly together when he left, the tell-don't-show reveal that he's still drinking doesn't entirely ring true and leaves me wondering if Eden's got the wrong end of the stick and is spreading around something that isn't true, not helped by Bree introducing her own rather biased viewpoint. If she wants to get her own place with Cash instead of sharing, great, but I don't see that she's got any cause to kick Remi out of a house that he's paying for.

Theo continues to overstep a bit, even if it did have a tangible result with Lacey going along with David's grand tour.

Copying over from the 5STAR thread:

I wish Alf & Irene had something a bit more heartfelt or touching on their history or how Irene turned her life around from the woman he first met, but I guess they were trying to save the emotion for Leah & John.

Sonny has been a standout throughout this story.

I loved the final shot of Irene’s final episode, the almost freeze frame with the music ending was reminiscent of an early years exit like Angel’s.

Goodbye Irene, and thank you Lynne for 33 years of laughs, loves and lettuce plating.

Nice to still get a glimpse of Irene in the titles the next episode and in the recap. It’s rare we get a character’s exit in the recap.

I liked that we got to hear Roo’s letter from Irene and learn they were all personal.

Made think of Angel and Dylan's exchange about the beach before they left with Simon and Baby Shane.

I think Remi is depressed so it’s abit more than his just being a pain Eden saying she would kick him out that did make me laugh being his best friend she is dim But most characters these days are

That is a lot of Alf we've been seeing.  A good point made by c120701, Alf did know Irene before John did, he only got to know her after his return.

I was wondering, after David's knockback if Irene contacted Harper to see what the SS's position in all of this is, but she did off screen and she said the same. I get she wants to know about why Adrian took off so  quickly but she should be concentrating on Cohen and letting TPTB do whatever they should doing if anything but this is Roo we're talking about. Breaking the news to Cohen that his dad had left and it didn't sound like he was coming back must have been hard but at least she was honest and didn't fudge it. Too late now but maybe Harper should have been there as a less emotionally  involved person.  If course Cohen  would think it was something he'd done and no matter how much Roo or Alf tell him it wasn't he's going to feel that way.   To him, his dad has rejected him twice though if what Adrian said was true he didn't.  His mum has also rejected him.

Maybe Cash was seeing from Cohen's prospective but in his case he hadn't been abandoned he was orphaned.   I really thought we'd see Cash handing over Adrian's home address but no it was David!  Is Roo really going to rock up at Adrian's home and demands he tells her why he walked out of Cohen's life?  Perhaps and just my thoughts that David was thinking about Lacey and  how he hasn't given up on her.

Talking of whom I think Theo did the right thing by telling David what had happened at the Beach House and not to give up on her which he didn't.  To others she  may have seemed indifferent but to me she was  interested and the  mention of her mum and how she would have loved it softened her.  It's just the fact that Jo would be there too is putting her off.

Another home and yes does appear Eden and Cash have only just realised they need a home.  Eden announcing she's kicking Remi out brought me to a halt thinking who did sign the lease on their house, I'm guessing it's only a rental? If Remi signed the lease she can't kick him out.  Cash and Eden could buy the lease off him.   Did I mishear or did Sonny say something about Remi still drinking(?) and he is  at his parent's Summer Home.

Anyways it appears he's back next week and as we saw he's got his own idea about who's leaving and who isn't.

Little bit of silliness with Mac and Levi and her tucking that flower behind his ear.  They were the first to hear that Eden and Cash have set a date and a venue, hope John will still be the celebrant. Could that be a hint about another Wedding when Eden threw that flower over her shoulder and Mac caught it?

I may be way ahead here but I think/hope Gary will be Cash's Best Man.

Irene's off the opening titles then. Felt like they held the shot of Roo a bit longer, unless that was my imagination!

Well, fair play to Roo, she didn't charge in all guns blazing and tried to listen to what Adrian said and see where he's coming from. It's a shame she didn't point out to him that he seems like a natural with Cohen as well.Unfortunately, the problem with her charging off determined to fix everything soon becomes clear, as Cohen is left out of the loop again and gets the wrong idea. And the result is Roo suddenly deciding she is going to browbeat Adrian after all.

I found myself mostly on Remi's side here: It was ridiculous for Eden to demand he leave a house that he pays for, so I was glad he bit back, and wasn't impressed with Cash behaving like a macho idiot. The end solution, that Eden moves out once she and Cash have got their own place, seems a lot more sensible.
