Remi is a real bad place and and yes he did cheat on Bree but that is why he's blaming himself and drinking to blot it out  what he's lost.  I don't think he was bored with Bree, he does love her, they were a good match and they had been through so much.  Abby did absolutely the right thing by refusing to serve him alcohol until he'd eaten something but just the one, then she threw him out. But not  before he'd accosted Bree who had gone to avoid him  turning up at hers, but luckily Cash and Eden turned up and Cash 'escorted' him out, then he swung a punch at Cash.  David won't be happy with Cash not arresting him as he would say Cash is letting a friend get  away with something that he would have anyone else taken in for.

Cash did the right thing by ordering him to give him the keys to his bike and Eden had moved the van, but as we saw in the promo he had found the keys and was driving off, he can't have been that drunk though as he did have his crash hat on.

I have found David's late wife's name on  Back to the Bay's cast list - it was Kristina.  He wouldn't use her name to Jo and Lacey, he'd just call her your mum, but it is odd he's never said her name to anyone else. All done and dusted then, David and Jo will be moving in in six weeks.

Mac and Levi were going round in circles with their discussion whether to have another go at IVF, he'd be OK with it but he's worried it would be a toll for her, but Mac finally decided and it would be  a big decision she will have another go, she knows now what it entails now and it may not be so bad - not that I'm an expert in these matters.  Mac and Levi did get together under maybe controversial circumstances but they do make  a lovely couple.

More flashbacks for Irene - saw Angel.   I'm guessing that scene of her in a hospital bed was when she had the baby for Finlay.  Lovely talk she was having with John about how she would miss the bay so much and she had  a brainwave abut throwing a party, roping in Leah and Justin.  Then the next day she had a relapse, but that is how it goes with Alzheimer's and went into work, had she left the back door open as it appeared John had just walked in seeing how he was coming downstairs looking for her.  He clicked she'd be at the Diner and there she was acting very normal, chatting to customers like she would usually do.  She looked so crestfallen when John broke the news she didn't work there anymore.  One thought though - the staff must know she'd stopped working there even if they don't know why - wouldn't one of them have rung Leah? 🤔

I'm only wishing it *was* David he took a swing at. He wouldn't have let *that* go.

A drunk with a helmet is still a drunk.

I know Remi's going through a crap phase but he can't go around throwing hands like that.

Yes I wouldn’t advise punching a cop

Alf's episode count last week: Five! (He must have taken other people's episodes, since only Irene, Leah and Marilyn managed three.)Alf's episode count this week:Four. He's raking them up.

While I remember, good to have the opening titles back on every episode now the competition's finished!

Roo started off well supporting Adrian, but it's hard not to feel like a part of her was delighted when Cohen said he didn't like him and didn't miss an opportunity to reinforce it. I will say that she gave Adrian good advice about Cohen's attitude towards Samantha and he should have thought his answer through more carefully. I was glad though when Harper slapped Roo down and made it clear that she's not the most important person in the room. Roo has at least backed off now, albeit somewhat grudgingly.

Harper was so great in that storyline that it's frustrating what a child she is where Tane and Jo are concerned: It felt like the contrast between the character she had the potential to be and the dreary lovestruck quasi-stalker that she's ended up as.Not that Jo covered herself in glory. Harper's treating her the same way Lacey does, albeit with much less reason, and it's hard not to feel that it's partly because she really doesn't seem to get boundaries. Tane shutting things down with her to keep Harper happy (and, I suspect, to make sure he keeps access to Archie) wasn't brilliant either.

Mackenzie and Levi's continual failure to have a conversation was frustrating.I did appreciate Abigail being assertive and giving Mackenzie the home truths that Levi was too polite to.(See also her handling of Remi.)At least they seem to have reached a consensus now.

I respect Mali for trying to make it work rather than following Abby's advice to fire Lacey on the spot (still no mention of the hypocrisy of this when it was a different rule for her), but I actually kind of like that Lacey didn't get turned into an instant surfer chick and decided it wasn't for her. Theo ended up coming up with a plan and he and Lacey do make a rather sweet pairing with his support of her. (The friendship scenes between Lacey and Sonny were a nice touch too, I always appreciate them mixing up who has scenes with who.)

Wow at the sudden glut of 20th century flashbacks. I gaped when Fin and Damian turned up, followed by vintage clips of Selina, Chloe and Sally. (And yes, that was definitely Baby Paul being handed to Irene, that's Fin and Kelly next to her.) We finally saw Will too. My biggest laugh though was when we cut from Fake Olivia to Proper Olivia in a "Ah, what could have been" moment. (Thanks, Dan, for confirming that was Belle and Aden's wedding photo: I could see it was a wedding and thought it was probably them but it looked a bit like Brody and Ziggy too!) Who was that dancing next to Colleen? Best I could think was Bianca, but she'd had a rough day if it was. Anyway, things are definitely accelerating towards Irene's exit now, with her sudden decision to leave "Now", hastily amended to "as soon as possible." I was hoping we'd avoid a mention of Bella and Nikau still being together. Maybe they're both still in New York but they broke up? Yeah, I'll convince myself that's it.

To be honest, I feel like Cash gave Remi far too much latitude and should have arrested him for assaulting a police officer. It's not even like it was a private argument, Cash was in uniform at the time, and he did it in a public space packed with witnesses. Ah well, he got there in the end, after showing that one last warning really did mean that. (Another nice mixing up of characters with Cash and Sonny paired for a chunk of the episode.)

They’ve made me notice a striking similarity between Jo & Levi.

I do wish they’d position the shots a little better, there are some which would work really well with ‘And from the very first moment I saw you…’ or ‘Hold me in your arms’ which are only a little out.

I must admit I was really surprised when Irene said she wanted her party in a month’s time as the story seemed much further along than that, so that changing made so much sense.
