Did a back to back with Friday and Today's. The Latter was the superior offering tbh.

Bree/Remi, I wouldn't recommend operating heavy machinery after watching those two.

That's sad that Bree couldn't get over Remi sleeping with Avalon, they've been such  a good couple even with their ups and downs.  I'm glad she confided in Cash.  I don't think even Remi knows why he did it.  Eden seemed up for gigging but Remi not being keen, it's kind of put the scuppers on that idea.  As I said before how is Justin going to fit in being a manager when/if he gets the taxi firm deal?

I'm sure I've seen Eden wearing that top before. 

Mali found he has   a lot to cope with on his return, Mac nagging Abbie to tell him the whole truth didn't go unheeded, she just needed to tell him in her own time which she did. He did leave  them in the lurch but It was a family emergency and Mali is very family orientated. The shop and surfing lessons had been going OK, but then Kirby left or was rather fired by Mali so that is why he took on Lacey and when he found out she couldn't surf he let her  run the shop and luckily for all Theo was able to step in to take surfing lessons.  She 'fired' Theo before getting   a new surf instructor which is why they are in the pickle they're in.   Even if Lacey learns to surf, she will need to become qualified  to be able to teach learners.  Going back a bit here, but couldn't Theo lend Mali the money to get solvent again to give him some  breathing space?   He'd gladly do it not just to help a friend  but to see people learning a new sport. 

Small update on Mac & Levi on their steps to becoming mum and dad. 

Back to Irene and her plans to go visiting/travelling tomorrow, there will be a lot to think about and that's without accounting for Irene's state of health.

Even though she's the wronged party, I'm finding Bree unnecessarily cold here. There didn't seem to be any reason for her and Dana to be as rude to Eden as they were, and then she turns up at Remi's for rather clinical reasons. It does feel like she's shut off her feelings, which I guess is understandable from a self-preservation aspect but makes it hard for me to be sympathetic towards her.

Back to the nostalgia fest with Irene with another selection of clips, going back to 2002 with Nick and Nathan, and I'm guessing that was Grace on the end. (Still no sign of Will, I think, even though we got a couple of clips from Gypsy's 2011 stint here?) Obviously, the theory that there was a ban on clips of Sam Frost is wrong, since we saw her a couple of times. And most astonishingly of all...a clip of Proper Olivia! (The fact Chris Hemsworth was standing behind her may have helped, but it's still there.) John doesn't take the news well, and neither does Dana really. Whilst other characters are closer to her, I guess it makes sense for Sheriff Alf to be the one to step in and wish her luck.

I guess Mali's offer to Lacey was fair, even if it does put a bit of pressure on her. It's not an immediate solution, and her only teaching beginners at first is only a bit of help, but I respect his loyalty, and it may even be more practical than firing her in the vague undefined hope  of hiring someone better.

Dana says the L word to Sonny and...gets offered a drink? Better than a slap in the face, I guess, although her expression didn't seem to agree.

I mean in defence of the Matheson sisters, It'd be a pain to find out your landlady just sold up like that but at least Irene  didn't do what Madge did on Neighbours and sold No.24 to Marlene out from under Lou, Cheryl and the Kids (granted it was a plot device to get Marlene in but still)

Bree would have found it hard to properly trust another man after Jacob though granted he didn't cheat on her so that is why I think she feels so betrayed by Remi.  I suspect as you said Red she's protecting herself, she loves him which is why she's so hurt and feels cutting herself off from him is the best way for her.   I'm only guessing but Dana likely sees Eden as being  on Remi's side as she is an old friend of his. That was hard for Remi when Bree turned up and asked for his key to her place and gave him back hers.  Sonny did well stopping him going off on his bike when he'd been drinking.    Then there was that scene of Bree sitting alone on the beach.  

To be totally honest I couldn't keep track of all those people in Irene's past, some I recognised but others I couldn't.  The real estate guy seemed very enthusiastic but I guess that is his job.  Irene said it was a happy place but there have been  bad times - her being poisoned by that cop who held her responsible for his dad's death in prison, held hostage by her son Mick and nearly killing the guy - Tommy -  who had been grooming Bella and attempted to rape her.   It did seem Irene was after a quick sale, wonder how much it was put up for? It won't be be good news for Dana and Harper finding  a new home that would be suitable for  baby, would need to be a ground floor flat if they can't find a house. 

One thing, was it mentioned by Irene that there had been a downstairs  bedroom that first wasn't there, then it was and then it wasn't? 

Had John been missing for a few days, as he didn't appear to know Irene was selling  up? I do get why he is so worried but like Alf and Leah found out the more he was giving her reasons why she shouldn't go she was more adamant she would go.  He did put some good arguments against the idea, how will she be getting to place and place, where will she be staying, what about expenses?  I'm supposing Alf didn't hear their exchange just guessed from their gestures something was up.  It did seem odd he went to the front door when most people go to the back door.

That was a good alternative to firing Lacey, keeping her on doing the job she is doing rather than having to look for someone else and having to  train them up.  Mali would have to make sure Lacey will be able to surf first, she may have a balance problem which  would put the mockers on that.  I had the same thought as him, her teaching the beginners as we've seen Theo doing, it's on dry land so no danger, only them falling over. 

Ah the L word, it would have taken Sonny aback and I think he does care very much for Dana but like Remi before him he'd never been in  a serious relationship until Bree and and maybe doesn't he want to say it until he's sure.  I reckon Dana didn't know she was going to say it until she did.  The last guy she said it to - Xander - left town not long after she said it to him.

Alf almost seems to have slipped back into his old role as a sage grandfatherly figure.It's been so long it's almost jarring.So talking to John like a human being actually does the job: Who knows? Irene's reference to guided trips does alleviate some of the concern that she's going to end up wandering around unfamiliar cities unsure of who she is. And Alf made a valid point: If Irene ever does come back to the Bay and find she doesn't have a house anymore, she can just do what Marilyn does and rock up on the doorstep of an old friend asking if they've got a spare room.

Well, Lacey's first surfing lesson didn't last very long but Theo seems prepared to be patient with her.I guess Mali just wants the commitment to try, so she should stop panicking and just relax and ease her way into it.

Sonny and Dana's L word crisis was quickly sorted then, once Sonny actually sat down and was honest.Meanwhile, another step backwards for Levi and Mackenzie...

At last Alf actually talked to Irene about her ongoing condition and how he saw it, it's taken long enough seeing how long they've known each other.   His talk with John did seem to do the trick and he was right, like anyone who needed a home someone would take her in. Seems Theo knows about it too going by the conversation he was having with Leah.

Going by the promo David is interested in buying the Beach House but Harper wasn't exactly overjoyed when she came in and saw Jo holding Archie. Is Irene selling it fully furnished?

Maybe Lacey felt embarrassed by learning the basics to surf, Theo was patient but he'd would have been  with any new learner and he would have been one too at one time.  She did apologise to Theo later for running off. 

I did feel for Sonny when he told Dana no-one apart from his mum and nan had told him they loved him. I guess his previous relationships didn't get that far for the L word to be said.  Theo steered him the right way and do hope he meant it when he told Dana he loved her too. Way back when Justin had that problem, he'd had plenty of girlfriends but he couldn't say the L word not if he didn't mean it. 

Big step backwards for Levi and Mac.  I'm confused dot.com though how is it they had to be told by the clinic or whoever it was the trigger didn't work, she'd had the trigger jab so how would they know?

A bit blind leading the blind here as another childless bachelor, but so far as I can tell, the trigger jab did work and they harvested the eggs but fertilising them didn't work.

Today!

Well, Roo seems to have recovered her sanity and remembered what her job is and that Cohen comes first, especially now she can’t pretend Adrian isn’t his father. I was a bit concerned when she turned up at the police station but she did seem to be trying to make things work, even if she quickly goes into a sulk when they start getting on.

Bad timing twice between Harper and Jo. Harper turning up when Jo was in her room was bad luck and I can see why she’d think it was an intrusion, even with the open house. But Harper can’t really start dictating who Tane can spend time with when he’s got Archie with him.

Irene managed to get a couple of characters with names to look at her house, that’s a good start. Leah’s doing her best to be supportive.
