So you have a nice caddie with a BIG boot/trunk to put luggage in and what does the driver do?  Put it all in the front seat because hey, him opening the boot/trunk and putting it in while Kirby's saying goodbye would be too normal.

I get why Remi's depressed, but still no excuse for not saying goodbye to one of your best friends as they embark on a new chapter of their life.

Kirby certainly got one of the best farewells in years, but I did laugh at Sonny seemingly having to drag her case all the way from the house and if so then the house having changed from being away from the lighthouse to towards it (based on Jesse reminding Flynn he was running the wrong way home when he moved from there to the Caravan Park).

Also thought the same on the cases not going in the boot.

Yep, goodbye, Kirby. At least it was a positive one and the main focus of the episode even if they did need to have a cliffhanger afterwards. The opening scene of her and Eden on the beach and the singing and dancing was quite soulful. Justin's speech about not being her manager anymore felt a bit "I can't be your manager because you're not going to be on the show", but his final reasoning did seem valid. It is a shame that, aside from a brief moment of Sonny on the phone to him, there was no mention of Theo, even if they did get their farewell last episode.I'd almost rather it was him on the phone than Mali but fair enough, Kirby and Mali were good friends as well. And of course, she doesn't get any screentime with Remi, but I guess we had the "Lyrik together one last time" moment last episode.

I'm not quite sure why Remi is suddenly hitting the self-destruct button as hard as he is.He's been stressed out a lot lately, and I guess there's a sense of this coming on top of all the pressure he's put on himself lately. It seems to be mainly focused on that feeling of being left behind and not having much in his life, but pushing away all his friends and Bree isn't the way to deal with it.I guess Avalon's kind of an escape.

My thoughts too about Tane being involved in  arranging any baby day  for Archie, but Harper had cut him out of that decision. It could be a Maori  thing about the parents looking after the baby or if they are near enough other close relatives, hope I'm not stereotyping  there.  That is what Milo has said that is what his family does and why he's been recalled home.

Lacey is one smart cookie, and no you're not wrong, she would make a good cop, not that would ever be her career of choice. 😆

OK wasn't what I thought would happen, but she did come up with that very clever ruse by putting a random car up for sale and see if the guy who 'bought' Theo's fell for it.  Wonder if  Cash or even David would have thought of it.  It was pretty dumb of him to use Theo's backpack to bring the money in, but of course he wouldn't know that the person he was meeting was his latest victim's girlfriend.  As said before it was a risk coming back to the bay so soon.   Lacey ducked out of hanging around as David is his role as Sargent would be turning up and wouldn't the guy identify her as the person they met and Cash would have to explain why the other cops were there.  I also had the same thought this can't be the first/second  time they've done it, and if that is the case that $25,000 isn't Theo's.   Somehow these guys got hold of all that dosh and do the scam time after time but move around.  Or someone else is behind them, buy these flash motors then sell them on for more money or even ship them abroad.

Jo did get off a tad lightly there once she explained that Lacey wasn't just a patient's girlfriend who she was having a go at but her sister who she said she didn't have.  Levi  could relate  to how families can be estranged.

Kirby's departure was a tad abrupt, leaving the next day so she could see her mum and dad before she leaves for a year.  Those  opening scenes of Kirby and Eden was beautiful. Stephanie  Panozzo does have a lovely voice and the song was just right for the mood.  Eden and Kirby have known each other   a very long time so it will be a  big wrench for her.  Did you spot 'they' didn't have the usual what happened before bit?  Glad Abi arranged a hastily put together leaving party for her.  At least that way, Mac and  Maz could say a proper goodbye.  Shame neither Roo or Irene weren't there.  no John either.  Kirby did say a goodbye to Theo the night before but just a kiss of the fingers and waving them at him, surely he deserved at least  a kiss on the cheek, they had been a couple after all and  Lacey wouldn't have minded.  I did love the pink cadillac!  I did laugh at Sonny having  to lug that  suitcase along even if it was on wheels. Justin was right, Kirby needs a manager who can be there with her not hundreds or thousands of miles away. Oh btw Mac was once again throwing free drinks around.

I can see why Remi thought he couldn't handle saying goodbye to Kirby, it would I think seem too real to him.  Bree had to lie to Kirby  and naturally, she'd be worried he could be lying in  ditch somewhere.  He, like Eden, have been 'left behind', but  as Avalon said  his name would be out there now having produced Kirby's album so others needing a producer may think of him.  He did like his jam session so maybe that is what he's missing most.   Sonny, of course been put in a right tight spot, having to lie to Bree about where he is, not that he knew at first, he have to  tell Eden what Remi had been doing and how he'd found him the night of Kirby's Launch.  Kirby going on this world tour has rather put the scuppers on the planned double album with her and Avalon.

🤞 He didn't go down the drug route but what he did get up to or rather who he got down with was so disappointing.  Avalon, to me, didn't seem that ashamed of having been caught out when Sonny and Eden turned up whereas Remi did look guilty.

Despite what's been claimed, they've always been provided alongside the episodes for C5 to use if they wish (though they'd have to edit them on themselves). They just chose not to until now.

They were actually the sixth set used at Oz pace - at this point, Sonny is the latest addition and there's three versions on rotation with the different theme songs.

Hi Dan,

I've not visited this forum for quite a few years but I remember talking to you on here in the past. I hope you are well.

I would like to ask you a question about these six sets of titles that you are referring to...the last of which were the first to appear on Channel 5.

As you say, there are three different intros on rotation...one intro includes a close-up of Tane's folded hands when he is sitting on the beach, one intro includes the iconic Summer Bay sign and one intro appeared on Channel 5 for a few weeks. Therefore, I have identified them as "Tane's folded hands intro", "Summer Bay sign intro" and "Channel 5 intro".

So I'm interested to know which one of the following 10 statements was true at the point I've quoted you.

(a) Tane's folded hands intro had four versions; Summer Bay sign intro had one version; Channel 5 intro had one version.

(b) Summer Bay sign intro had four versions; Tane's folded hands intro had one version; Channel 5 intro had one version.

(c) Channel 5 intro had four versions; Tane's folded hands intro had one version; Summer Bay sign intro had one version.

(d) Tane's folded hands intro had three versions; Summer Bay sign intro had two versions; Channel 5 intro had one version.

(e) Tane's folded hands intro had three versions; Channel 5 intro had two versions; Summer Bay sign intro had one version.

(f) Summer Bay sign intro had three versions; Tane's folded hands intro had two versions; Channel 5 intro had one version.

(g) Summer Bay sign intro had three versions; Channel 5 intro had two versions; Tane's folded hands intro had one version.

(h) Channel 5 intro had three versions; Tane's folded hands intro had two versions; Summer Bay sign intro had one version.

(i) Channel 5 intro had three versions; Summer Bay sign intro had two versions; Tane's folded hands intro had one version.

(j) Tane's folded hands intro had two versions; Summer Bay sign intro had two versions; Channel 5 intro had two versions.

Obviously each of those 10 statements adds up to six, so one of those statements has to be true.

It's such a shame that Channel 5 doesn't show the intro in full in the episodes where it is shown in full in Australia. It feels like we've been a bit short-changed.

Well, Remi was almost literally caught with his pants down.If he was trying to keep it quiet, chasing after Avalon half-dressed was an odd way to do it! Oh well, he's confessed to Bree, so I guess we'll see whether that does him any good. It just seems to have been a moment of weakness anyway. I'd forgotten about Eden's history of men close to her cheating on their partners, so I guess it makes sense that it would feel personal now Remi, one of the two men she trusts most in the world, has done it as well. She seems to have calmed down by the end of the episode anyway.

When Roo opened that letter, I was worried she was going to go back to pretending they hadn't heard anything, but she did end up basically telling Cohen the truth, at least as far as contact from the prison is concerned. It's progress but she is, of course, still keeping other things from him, notably that his mother has relinquished custody, so this could come back to bite her.
