A bit behind but went full Seven Network Triple Bill and now caught up to 5 pace, leaving me two episodes to do tomorrow.

Having both Langham girls unite and turn on David is a great plot twist.  I won't say any more because I know what's coming but the rest of the week is really strong.

I don't know what's coming, however, with the Harper eye injury story.  Sonny's constant foot in mouth moments must be setting up for something else?

Dana has been pretty unbearable these last few episodes and this one was the pits, so I was glad Harper told it to her straight: Sonny has every right to go to his friend’s wedding, which she was invited to, without her, and she can’t go into a sulk because he doesn’t read her mind and realise she doesn’t mean it when she says she’s okay with him doing so. So it’s a shame that Bree was a bit smug and told Sonny that he wasn’t picking up on what she really meant, and that it’s resulted in him missing out too. (The fact that he instantly gets pressganged into changing Arche’s nappy doesn’t exactly make it feel worth it either.) Honestly, it’s beginning to feel like no-one’s going to be at the wedding: We seem to be seeing all these characters at the start of the week because none of them are going to be in the wedding episodes!

A lot of shifting alliances among the Langham-Millers, with all of them allied with each other against the third at various points! David made a valid point about Lacey scaring Wendell off if she goes in too hard, although it’s unclear if his slow-and-steady approach if likely to yield any results. Despite promising not to go behind David’s back, Lacey is immediately pursuing another idea, albeit a less risky one.

Wow, how long were Levi and Mackenzie for? About three episodes? It seems cruel to put them through yet another trauma after all that hoping, even if it may be realistic that this is how it works out.

Sonny may not always think/act the same way as others but he's got a good heart and is trying to make up for what he did.

I thought the same there about the bear - or should we call him Patch?🧸 He did have  a great 💡 moment   Harper was fine with him, it made her smile, it was Dana being over protective, Archie, although we didn't see him also liked him it seems.  Hospitals do that, if a child has to wear a patch for whatever reason, they put a patch on a bears eye  to comfort them and to show them they aren't the only one who have to wear one so Sunny did good. Was here a reason why Tane wasn't here or was it because he will be using in his three days later this week?

Sonny looked really  good in his Wedding suit, not that I'm lusting at all.  I can understand why Dana feels so can't leave Harper on her  own  but she did tell Sonny he could go so can't have it both ways. I did have the thought as Bree isn't going and if she isn't working couldn't she stay with Harper so Dana could go or is that too simple?  I can also understand why Harper wouldn't want to go, she's in pain, wearing  an eye patch so those who know her would be asking "What's happened to you?" and others would be looking at her and wondering the same detracting from Eden and Cash's day.

I did say David would come to regret his daughters re-uniting.  Now Jo has been let in on who 'may' have caused the accident that killed their mum and has now remembered where she knew the name from they've launched  a two pronged  attack on David as to what he's doing about it. I was gong to say would Smarmy have known who Katherine was apart from the wife of the local  Police Captain, but it would have been mentioned she died in an accident on that road. In that case that would have been so crass of him turning up.   He kept quiet about his own digging but as he said it is all circumstantial, no proof, no damage to Jo's car so I'm guessing none to Smarmy's.

Finally, at long last Theo managed to pin Lacey down long enough to tell her about the holiday he's taking  her on to Tas. He's putting the money he got from his car sale to some good use. Lacey was behind the scam to get that back let's not forget.

Alf wisely has left Martha and Roo to themselves to chat  as much  as they want, probably giving his ears a rest, I'm guessing he'll  be there on  The Day which for us is Thursday.

Wasn't Heather's dad someone Marilyn worked for during one of her times away from the bay?

Confirmation from the promo, but even Stevie Wonder saw a miscarriage coming.

Isn't Mac allowed to be happy for five minutes?!

Not sure what your point is here. Do you think VI people can’t understand what is going on?

There's been all this build up trying to get Mac pregnant.  She gets pregnant only to lose the baby a few days later.  It seems particularly cruel.

Not putting it all on men but Sonny isn't a mind reader so wouldn't know Dana didn't mean it about being OK for him to go to Eden & Cash's Wedding without her, he took her at her word.  Even couples who have been together a lot longer than they have get the wrong message.  Harper was talking  a lot of sense by telling Dana  he couldn't read her mind so she had to tell him her real feelings about it,  whereas Bree was the opposite.  Who btw cottoned onto Levi and Mac's good news - well it was then - by overhearing him talking to Mac so that's another in on the 'secret'.  It was funny Sonny getting the nappy changing duty.

That venue where Cash and Eden are having their Wedding looks very lush.

It was sad for Mac finding  she'd been bleeding which does seem she has had a miscarriage, it was very early on in the pregnancy but still distressing as it would be for any woman and getting that book from her mum where she had started writing in.  Lovely 'name' Tadpole.

This time round Mac was right telling Levi he had to go the Wedding, he has a very important duty to perform.  It's going to very poignant for him, pretending to be happy.

The Langham girls are a force to be reckoned with as David is finding out.   He had to 'fess up he'd been doing his own bit of digging but not getting very far.  I can see why Lacey thought Wendell turning up at Katherine's funeral was rubbing their noses in it, but as I said him being the local councillor he'd be expected to and it would have looked odd if he hadn't.  Lacey mentioned to Jo about going back to the hypnotherapist to get any more buried memories out, but as David said they wouldn't  be admissible in court. so how they could be used against Wendell?

No need to sound so gloaty about it.

I thought Dana was bad enough sometimes, but Lacey's making her look a hella lot better with the way she's been behaving.  As a policeman's daughter she really should know when she's breaking the law.  Dad should have thrown her into a cell for a day or two just to get the point across.

Does seem rather cruel to have Mac and Levi's story interconnecting with Eden and Cash's wedding storyline.

Well, I enjoyed the happy scenes. Cash and Eden have had a long road here (Stephanie Panozzo noted it's been building ever since she joined the show!) but they both looked happy and I really hope it goes well for them, despite the wedding guests dropping like flies. (It sounds like Marilyn doesn't even have a reason for not going, she just isn't!) Abigail was great too with her military style attempts to run the wedding party. She and John should team up.

Mackenzie and Levi losing the baby straightaway does indeed seem cruel, and perhaps shows why you really shouldn't tell people that early, although at least it means Mali's there for her. So Levi's going to the wedding, which is probably the right thing to do, especially with Mackenzie telling him to, but neither of the Fowler siblings' partners are going to be there!

The rest of it was pretty much just characters making up their episodes. Given the way David ducked out of all the questioning at the Diner, I wasn't so sure about Leah and Justin turning up at his place, but he seems to have accepted Justin as his go-to confidante at least.
