Hands up my fault - it was just the single - and after her drunken reaction the night before - hope she wasn't on duty/on call that day-  Bree actually  listened to it, got past it was Avalon's record  and appreciated Remi's work on it and how he played on it.  As she said herself she fell in love with the musician Remi was then.   OK yes his last music playing was on  Avalon's single and we all know where that led, but he a musician long before meeting her. Not sure Bree should be pushing him to do a gig at Salt though.   Although she hasn't been consulted I 'm sure Eden would be up for it.  Mac did so deserve an apology from Remi, Avalon, seemingly, was just thinking Mac would bite her hand off to be given a gig at Salt but Mac is Remi and Bree's friend and that comes before good publicity   and people packing the place out.

It did pop up out of nowhere but Summer Bay High had been mentioned when Eliza was there but as she explained to Roo she didn't get on with other kids at her last school so that is why Roo was home schooling her. Despite  all her other problems she had she was a bright girl.  Cohen did rather just drop that comment into the conversation about how Cash thought he ought to 'earn' his keep so he and Felicity weren't sent away.  But then kids his age should be helping around the house even like Roo said keeping his room tidy, putting his washing away.  Mind you what pre-teen, teenager does that?  Did Roo?  Eliza wanted to be paid for any jobs she did. Good compromise, Roo doing the washing up and him doing the drying.   It was funny when Alf and Cohen were washing down the buggy, Alf saying "You've missed a bit"  and Cohen teasing  Alf about giving him a rinse down.

Inevitable, I guess, something had to go wrong with the adoption process,  despite Harper's glowing references.  Some of the promo  we saw the night before was getting ahead of itself.

Levi  had his doctor's head one moment and next his lover's/potential father's head on.  Now Mac's initial symptoms seem to have calmed down that walk did do her good.  They were having a laugh about names and how many they should have.

Roo was so arrogant and self-righteous here that it was impossible to have even the tiniest bit of sympathy for her. I felt sorry for Cohen trying to understand her self-centred behaviour: Twice she ditches him in order to go to the police station to find someone to yell at. It increases the feeling that this isn't about what's best for Cohen, it's about her wanting to claim ownership of him. And again, there's that feeling that Alf's fears about her suitability for fostering are being proved right, yet for some reason he hasn't noticed and is only a step behind her. Her "He doesn't even know Cohen!" was absolutely laughable, a month or so ago she didn't know him either, yet now she's convinced she's the only person in the world to look after him. David earned a lot of points dealing with her tantrums. As for Adrian, well, we get the now traditional story where it's all the other parent's fault that he hasn't been in Cohen's life. Not for the first time, Marilyn seems to try and erase Gina from history and pretend it was always her with John and Jett, when she didn't move in with them until long after Jett's dad had been and gone.

Meanwhile, turns out Eden was very enthusiastic about the gig; I actually really loved her being all enthusiastic and awkward in front of David. Remi still wasn't keen. A part of me thinks he should have agreed to the gig for Eden's sake, but it did feel like both Eden and Bree were overly dismissive of how triggering it was for him. Anyway, he's agreed now so hopefully it'll go well.

Absolutely agree about Roo's attitude about Adrian turning up!  David quite rightly put her firmly in her place.  Although we only have Adrian's  side of the story - he said Samantha just suddenly decided he wasn't Cohen's dad and left so they - the authorities/police need to hear her side. Was he possessive, abusive which was why she left? Another thing Adrian said the last time he saw Cohen was when he was three months old but on Cohen's birth certificate the dad's name was left blank and don't you have to register the birth earlier than that?  He seemed  a decent guy, but as we know appearances can be deceptive, him approaching Cohen and saying "I may be your dad" was not on, though he quickly and rightly clicked that lad he saw with Roo had to be Cohen.   That photo he had could be of any baby.
Back to  Roo, she was totally overreacting, of course David had to inform the  adoption people, even Harper saw that, she and David work together very well and when/if Adrian does turn out to be Cohen's dad after the DNA test she should be the one to tell him.  She'll be able to put it across in a much more calmer way.  Not sure if Bree should have agreed to Roo's request not to tell him about the DNA test he's having but to pretend it's part of a check up after his attack of tonsillitis.  He's not a stupid lad and must be very confused about what is going on.

Besides TPTB won't just hand him over, there would need to be a period of adjustment and as Cohen  said "does he get a say?", he's not  a toddler.  Did I hear Adrian say it had been 10 years since  he'd seen Cohen and Samantha? 🤔

It was John and Gina who started Jett's adoption process, but her death did put a hold on it, but Maz was behind  John when it resumed and she became Jett's step-mum.

Bit of light relief when Eden was broadcasting   she and  Remi were gigging at Salt that Friday so to come along and have a good time.   It did  though clash with David trying to have a quiet phone call.   Remi has been  rather railroaded into it so hope he gets his mojo back and  puts ykw and what happened behind him, he was a musician/guitarist before he even knew  her.

To be honest, I think that episode continued to make me feel like Roo's acting like an awful person. She was pretty much gaslighting Cohen by pretending she didn't know who Adrian was in possibly the most blatant lie in history, not to mention her constantly fobbing him off.And dare I mention that Adrian wouldn't have known who Cohen was if she hadn't insisted on storming down to the station shouting the odds? Alf doing the same thing didn't exactly endear him either. There's still that feeling that Roo tried to claim ownership of Cohen far too early and now it's blowing up in her face. Cash was unnecessarily macho and square-jawed towards Adrian as well, although at least he softened eventually. And it led to a bonding moment between him and David.

Levi and Mackenzie's IVF journey continues with Cash now in the circle as extended family. Levi's obviously struggling with the by-products.

Roo is still continuing to be ultra stubborn and tunnel visioned, but she does get that from Alf, but even he is being more reasonable about it.   She finally had to tell Cohen the truth after bumping into Adrian  and I was glad Harper was there to give  a more balanced explanation and  Cohen did have a point, don't his feelings come into account?  Harper, also, put Roo  back in her box by saying she can't interfere  just because  she knows her and what  good home Cohen would have if he stayed.

We did a couple of clues as to how old Cohen is, David said to Cash  Adrian, if he is his dad, hadn't seen his son for over 10 years, so I didn't mishear, so that makes Cohen 11?  David's a dad and although his daughters are currently  driving him up the wall, he couldn't  imagine not having them in his life.

It was pure chance Adrian bumping into Roo and Cohen but then he blurted out, against David's  advice/orders not to say who he was/might be. How handy Cash just happened to be passing by.🙄   Lots of folk are going to be on tenterhooks until the DNA results come back.  If he is Cohen's dad TPTB will need to find out a lot more about him, does he have  a steady job, good home, what type of guy he is. Any arrests, convictions, excluding I guess, any motoring offences.  David did mention Samantha had taken an AVO out on him back when Cohen was  a baby but was it her just 'saying' he'd done such and such a thing. To be fair  Cash does know more about Cohen than Adrian does, he's got  to know and like him, letting Adrian know, if Cohen is his son, he'd be getting  a good 'un.  That was  a nice moment between David and Cash, David telling Cash he'd be a good dad and who would have thought that when David first tipped up.

On the subject of  dad's, Levi and Mac are one more step on to being parents.  I'm not au fax on what happens in the IVF procedure so hope TPTB are following the correct  guidelines.  I certainly didn't know  about the  trigger jab  which I guess kicks the next stage into gear.   I did love seeing Levi looking up as  what the mum to be will likely going through, not just medically but emotionally so he can support her from both sides.

The plot thickens! I've been wondering about this crash storyline for some time. It seems unlikely it'll end with "Oh, it was just an unexplained accident after all", yet David and Jo are regulars so we're probably not going to see either of them up on corruption or manslaughter charges. Which leaves the possibility that...someone else is responsible? After all, David's the type to make enemies, who might easily decide to off his wife and daughter for payback. So with the PI now being scared off, I'm wondering who might not want the truth to come out. (That said, I wouldn't put it past Tane to put the hard word on, although that seems to go against him suggesting to Jo that Lacey looking into it and finding nothing might be a good outcome.)

In the midst of this, there's a curious detente between Lacey and Theo. I suspect he'd rather she wasn't hiring a private detective but he's keeping his counsel on that one, and he seems determined to go on helping her out even with Justin needing help too. Incidentally, Tori, VJ and Luc was an odd list of people for Leah and Justin to visit. What about Brody and Raffy, or Ava, or Leah's brothers? Did someone just look at the list of wedding guests they had to pay for the flashback?

I did not have a reference to Maddy on my bingo card (even if the subtitles still can't spell it right). I briefly wondered if we'd actually see a clip of her but no such luck. Did Will buy her that bus while they were in London? (A reference to how he's doing might have been nice but the storyline isn't really about that, it's about remembering Irene's time on the show rather than catching up on old faces.) John is starting to annoy me a bit, he seems to be determined to overreact to everything. It was fine when Irene was keeping things to herself when she really shouldn't, but now she's being open and honest and he still keeps telling her she's wrong.

Levi and Mackenzie would make a great fly on the wall documentary but I'm not sure it's working that well as a soap storyline. It does seem like pretty much the entire town knows they're having IVF at this point!
