I agree with the previous comments about David's double standards.  He gets annoyed at Cash for Eden going to the station to see him but it's OK when Jo turns up.  I do wonder if something is going to happen with David and Roo.  I think David likes her possibly.

I am quite liking Roo at the moment.  She's is showing a lot of compassion and empathy with the fostering.  Yeah, I thought Alf prohibited her from doing any more fostering after Eliza so he's not going to be too happy when he finds out, although interestingly Marilyn has been quite supportive immediately.  When Roo mentioned to her how do you tell Cohen his mother doesn't want him, I was thinking Heather yet again.

Not sure what to make of Avalon.  I mean it's a cool name and I liked Mackenzie's reaction to seeing her but getting Remi on drugs and trying to effectively poach him from Kirby initially wasn't good.  I am glad she and Kirby are OK and I'm liking Justin's involvement.  Shame Remi is under such pressure.

I saw last night TPTB have put his correct surname - Langham, my error saying it was Kingham.

Both Roo and David chickened out on telling Cohen his mum didn't want anything more to do with him, but how do you tell a young lad a thing like that? Two years at the  minimum is a  long time.  I think, well hope, Roo does send that letter to her, maybe it would be better coming from her. He's an intelligent lad and has some education along the way so must have gone to school at some time.  I suppose no-one can force Samantha to tell anyone her history.  David is going  beyond the bounds of duty  trying to help Cohen and find any family for him.  Could be a number of reasons why his father's name wasn't on his birth certificate - she didn't know it, he was married, or the worst scenario she was raped. Roo, so far, has been doing a much better job than she did with Eliza, but of course this time she has a SW in the form of Harper to hand.  Harper is doing a god job, she tried her best with Samantha and is making a  good bond with Cohen.  I'm wondering if Roo will let Alf know about Cohen in case he stays longer?   Roo, David and Harper make a good team.

It was a totally different situation with Maz and Heather - she was a baby and Samantha and Cohen have been together for a  lot longer, still no mention of his age though, unless I missed it.

It does feel like TPTB are leading us up the garden path and letting us think Remi has tried some of the drugs.  Kirby keep changing her mind about her launch and her duetting with Avalon would boggle anyone's mind never mind Remi's.  Justin isn't helping though pushing him to get the album finished.   Kirby finally clicked and made the right decision, she knows Remi and how much work he's put into the album.   I liked the fact Kirby wanted to do her Launch at Salt, amongst friend and people she knows and  less expensive, it'll take the pressure off Remi too.    I hope Flick gets a mention as it was down to her Lyrik  got their gig there.   It'll certainly bring in the crowds as long as Mac charges them.😁

Going back to Harper, it seems she and Tane have been 'talking' but she's not mentioned Archie is in day care but that is a face to face conversation.

It looks like, going by the promo, Theo meets Jo and finds out she is Lacey's sister - oops.   He is not going to be best pleased that Leah knew and didn't tell him, but  she would have been damned if she did and damned if she didn't, she was keeping Lacey's secret.  Does it also come out David is their dad?

I have to admit I've not seen any of this spark between Roo and David that the rest of the forum seems to have done. All that's happened is they've had some scenes together, which, to be fair, is usually enough on this sort of show. But frankly I'm increasingly feeling like they should probably get together because they're both being pretty awful. Roo did exactly what I feared she would, crossing the line into gaslighting by telling Cohen she's posted his letter while hiding it away in a drawer as if she wants this to explode as badly as possible. Harper telling her it's all right to lie was spectacularly bad advice as well. I'd go so far as to say that Roo is actually handling Cohen worse than she did Eliza, and if it doesn't end as badly, that's entirely down to him, not her. Meanwhile, David continues his workplace bullying, and while he eventually gave Cash those "Sorry for being a total a-hole to you when you did a good job" beers, he actually tells Cash off for answering a personal call mere seconds after having a personal chat with Jo (who is treating the police station like it's open house just as much as Eden did and getting away with it because of favouritism) right in front of him, and probably doesn't even realise what an utter hypocrite he is. At least Harper's intervention was better aimed there.

I'm on Lacey's side here and feel like Theo should have shut Jo down instead of listening to her justifications. I'm in two minds here: On the one hand, David and Jo are credited as regulars, which suggests they're meant to be broadly sympathetic characters. On the other hand, no-one has really refuted Lacey's points, just resorting to bland and banal rebuttals, which does lead me to suspect there's something that we don't know yet. Anyway, it means Theo knows the whole story (maybe more than Leah does?), and I'm glad that Lacey seems to be doing a good job and Jo ambushing her at work hasn't affected anything.

Well, we got that brief hint at Irene having memory issue a couple of weeks back but they seemed to jump up a notch here with her forgetting her plans with John. Marilyn seemed a bit timid but, to be fair, she didn't have much opportunity to say anything else.

Maybe  more of a slow burn with Roo and David more than a spark.

Oh Roo, just as we were getting to like you again you had to do  something like that!   I would much rather she'd sent that letter and then it would be down to Samantha to either return it unopened, reply and tell him the truth or ignore it, but at least Roo would have  a clear conscience.    He's only going to keep asking if his mum has replied.  Bet your bottom 💵 Alf will find it.  Harper and Roo weren't lying exactly by not telling Cohen the truth about his mum but now Roo is.

David did give Cohen's file to Cash to look at and he acted on his own initiative, which David took objection to, by going to see  him.   He got more out of him than either Roo, David or Harper did so yah boo shucks to them. He wasn't acting as  a cop, just as someone who had been where Cohen is now  so he could relate.  Harper's intervention was well handled which did result in David  going round to Cash's with his peace offering.   I did chuckle when Cash answered his phone and made  that remark about it being  on his own time - strike one to Cash. ✔️

Maybe now the feds, seeing as it's in another state,  will follow up on the number Cash got and  find any family Cohen has.

Maybe now David will start seeing Cash as a competent  cop and stop treating him like a newbie.  OK cops should have their personal phones off while at work, but they are human so forget.  Jo, did indeed just drop in again!

Double whammy for Theo meeting both Lacey's sister and  dad at the same time.  He didn't seem that stunned to find out about David  - had she told him off screen?  Had to happen that Jo and Lacey would meet again but has been said many times the bay is only a  small place so of course they'll be bumping into each other.  I was also on Lacey's side and Jo had absolutely no right to demand Theo choose sides, I'd have told her to do one.   Lacey is his girlfriend  he should be on her 'side'.  David, very wisely kept out of it, though both he and Jo were surprised she was working at  a board shop, though there's nothing wrong with it  and according to Mali doing a  good job.

No-one knows what exactly happened in that accident apart from Jo, who has no recall of it and the mum who died.   Did they not try hypnosis?  Does Lacey any reason why she thinks Jo 'caused' it?

Irene's SL has suddenly come to the fore, as far as we know she's had no trouble remembering orders at the Diner so her forgetting  a 'date' with John was a bit out there.  Maz was there when John texted the time for the meal at Salt and agreed Irene could go off early to get ready and that  she would clear up and close up.  The only doubts Irene was having was about being in a place that sold alcohol and seeing people drink around her as it would be the first  time she'd been out since leaving rehab.  Of course she would have been at the  Wedding party that of course didn't happen.  John couldn't be blamed for getting it wrong  as he had his text message on his phone and as said before Maz knew all about it, hence that look between them which Irene caught.   I think her blaming Archie waking her up so disturbing her sleep was an excuse.

From what we saw on the promo, Irene has been having trouble with her memory and not said anything but then people don't do they?  That is the John we really love, being there for her and being reassuring but not dismissing it.

New South Wales is the same state as Summer Bay so no need to involve another state's police force, although I guess David will still have to contact the local police station or something.

Well, Eden pretty much organised the barbecue from help. Except maybe not? It did seem like everyone except her wanted to be there, Abigail was obviously delighted to see Jimmy (possibly the first time she's got to spend quality time with him in years), and Cash, Mackenzie and Mali were all pleased to meet/re-meet him. While some of Jimmy's comments made me wince, it did indeed feel like Eden was looking for reasons to be offended. Hopefully Jimmy's refusal to back down will have an effect. Looks like Mali's joining Alf and Tane in being absent from the Bay then!

Irene was getting pretty defensive there. I'm not sure that Marilyn offering an explanation entirely helped. I'm not sure whether Marilyn actually believed it or was trying to save Irene embarrassment. Fortunately, John was like a dog with a bone and got the whole story out of Irene, although she didn't entirely seem to appreciate his advice. Ironically, Irene actually does have a history of sleepwalking!

Is that the first time since Channel 5 started using them that we haven't had opening titles?

I think David mentioned before  the fact Cohen's nan lived in Canberra  was why he needed to contact the feds.   But if this new place is in NSW all he'd need to then is contact the local cops as you said.

It was rather a chaotic BBQ, Eden getting herself in a right tizzy.  Oh yeh, Abby, Mac and Eden were all there, leaving just the staff running Salt.🙄   Also I guess Mali was letting Lacey look after  the board shop by herself.  Did Jimmy ever meet Imogen?   I'm guessing Jimmy knew nothing about Cash and Eden's previous engagement.  He was kind of  confused that Eden and  Cash didn't live together.  He  did come cross as affable enough, did thank  Mali for being the reason, in a roundabout way, for getting  the family together after 10 years of estrangement.  I'd love to know why Eden has such a problem with him so it was pretty plucky of him to front her like that.  Hope that cleaver is well out of the way.

If Mali is going home to look after his family what is going to happen to the board shop?  Lacey has only just taken the job on so won't be that far  up to speed, she'll have to cancel any surfing lessons he would have booked, ditto with any boards people would have placed orders for.

Getting Kirby's Launch Party sorted has taken Mac's mind off her having  a baby, though I did laugh when the comment was made from Levi about him having up to buckle up after or rather as Mac said unbuckle. 😆

I can see why Irene would be so against  going to the doctor, she'd be scared of what they may say, anyone would be.   She was snappy with Leah, who suddenly made a reappearance, just in time to get her head bitten off.   What anyone said or didn't would have had her making excuses.  That is the John we love,  funny, not in a comical way, that it was him she confided in about her being in the garden in her nightie in  the middle of the night.  So far nothing drastic has happened but and not wanting to cast gloom what if she has a  memory lapse  while she's looking after Archie?

Nope you weren't wrong, last nights was the first time Channel 5 dropped the opening titles - so phew you can relax - your memory is perfectly fine.

Well, we had two storylines today where the obvious ending was avoided. I think we were all expecting Jimmy to make a big speech and him and Eden to hug it out, but instead he is forced to acknowledge that maybe things are never going to go back to how they were.Eden was unnecessarily hostile at times but sometimes your heart won't do what your head tells it to:She wants to forgive but she can't feel it.But the ice has been broken and maybe even thawed a bit, and if they do see each other again, maybe it will be easier. She seemed touched by his gift anyway.I can't remember if it was stated outright that he knew Imogen during his last visit or not, but given Levi was in touch with him during all those years Eden and Abby weren't, I'd be very surprised if he didn't. What was with Abigail telling Jimmy that Levi and Mackenzie are going to have a baby? That makes it sounds like she's already pregnant, and no-one clarifies it so he probably still thinks that.

Meanwhile, Dana was in serious need of growing up.Honestly, even Sonny, who's pretty much a manchild, was handling it more maturely than her.She was unnecessarily rude to Jo and harassed Levi, and needed Bree and Sonny both to have a word.So she apologises to Jo, and you'd expect them to go back to being friends again...but instead Jo gives her the cold shoulder. A sign that Jo isn't the saint she might otherwise appear to be, or that sometimes you can't spend a day treating someone like dirt and expect everything to instantly be fine?

In other news, Remi isn't in the episode so everyone's worrying about where he is.I did appreciate both Justin and Mackenzie trying their best to make this good for Kirby and nice that Eden's involved as well.

I do find it amusing how Justin seems to know so much about recording albums even though I think you can pitch music to Spotify these days even though I do think Kirby changed her mind big too much there by the end I didn’t know what was going on let alone Remi

I have read the same books as Cohen they are pretty good dragons and magic I’m confused why his mom went to prison I thought she was arrested for a noise complaint surely you wouldn’t go to prison for that

Mr popular should have just had his dinner date with Irene at the diner that way she wouldn’t have felt so confused about it all John could have said Salt had made a mistake with the booking You don’t really venture out anywhere in soaps than your local restaurants anyway

Lacey and Jo I do find you both very dull and David is kind of dull as well

She had a number of outstanding arrest warrants for theft, and breaking and entering, and had a boot load of smartphones that had been reported stolen from a local warehouse.
