Roo has now, finally, caught on what Eliza can be like. I've been saying for ages where has Eliza's SW been, no follow ups to see how Roo is coping, nothing, zilch, nada.  So it was very handy Harper is  back, she has met her so knows how she can react to certain things so able to see Roo's problem and now Roo has filled her in about what happened with the lad - naming no names -  Tane's programme has suggested that Eliza needs specialist help, something Eliza's SW should have done in the first place, they have been totally remiss in that regard.  Remember   Cash told Roo Eliza had to be forcibly   removed from her parents but we don't know why do we.   Was it her in danger or them?

Eliza was very keen to meet up with Harper when Roo told her she was back and what is her obsession with the baby?  Eliza was very sharp spotting her music box had been moved so naturally she opened it and spotted the knife had gone but then went rushing to Salt, how did she know Roo was there, and ranting that she'd stolen 'her' knife in public which also meant Harper could see for herself what Eliza's behaviour could be like. In  a way that was better than Roo returning home and having Eliza menacing her like she did with Marilyn. Your brain doesn't always behave rationally when you've had  a shock so I'm guessing that is why Roo hid the knife in the pantry, nearly got caught though when Eliza suddenly popped up behind her.

The teddy bear was a  lovely gesture but of course it's not going to be that simple and we did see in the trailer she was burning it so Roo didn't remove the lighter.   On that point, I may have missed something, but had the fact Harper is having a selective C-section been mentioned before?  I'm supposing it's because of the problem Archie had that a C-section would be easier on him.

Eliza is no average kid intelligence wise, could that be part of her problem?  Her fascination with the Pharaoh's and  why they have certain items buried with them was interesting and what she would call them - trophies.  Is that what she calls the items in her box?

Two ladies didn't get the response they were expecting - Harper and Mac.  Tane's reaction to having Harper suddenly reappearing was lukewarm to say the least. Distance didn't make the heart warmer on his part, she had to ask for a  hug and her face said it all. At least Dana was pleased to see her back and Archie got a welcome home pat. Then Mac not getting the response she was expecting from Levi, though to be fair it would have knocked the wind out of his sails when she blurted out she wants a baby.  A very stilted dinner followed with neither of them knowing what to say.  On a quick aside plaudits to Tane  keeping her confidence and all he said to Levi it was nothing to do with what happened in Queensland.

There can be two ways to take Levi's answer to it, does he want children at all so could be why he suggested to Mac they think about it and maybe it was a knee jerk reaction to seeing Izzy and finding out Ziggy is pregnant again and he has only just got divorced. I can't remember how he was with Izzy, did he connect with her or keep his distance?  If he doesn't see himself ever being  a dad he should  be honest and  tell Mac so they can see how they would go on from here. Another thing Levi having been her doctor he would have read her medical records so would know about her ectopic pregnancy, she is only in her early 30's so no  biological  clock clicking just yet.

I'm guessing as Mail looks on Mac as a surrogate sister is why he rang Dean and got filled in as to what happened.  The animated discussion he saw Mac and Levi were having would make him suppose it was about that but Abby very wisely stopped him from sticking his nose in by saying it could be something else. They had been banned from the house the night before.  I did 😁 smile when she whacked him for saying she was smarter than she looked sometimes.

There does seem a friendship growing between Abby and Dana would be good to see that develop.  Fun suggestion Dana take Abby as her plus one to Harper and Tane's Wedding, but although he hasn't asked her Milo would be taking her wouldn't her.

Eliza had answers for Roo, but how much of it was true? There was probably a grain of truth in it, but her explanations for the bandage and the knife felt very much like her telling Roo what she wanted to hear.I do wonder about her parents though: I doubt Eliza would have just been sent to her gran if she was considered a danger to her parents.I don't think she intended to use the knife on anyone, I think she just liked the idea of having it.It's debatable whether Tane's alpha male act did any harm but it certainly didn't do any good.Eliza burning the teddy was, I guess, her drawing a line under that association, but it may not have been that positive an association in the first place.

Kirby frets while Justin and Remi try desperately to act like hardnosed businessmen but in the end they got it over the line.Bree was liking the idea of living alone but soon found herself missing company, so I wonder how long that will last? Mali belatedly asks Abigail to the wedding after a bit of prompting and teasing. Remi's starting to worry about what Sonny's getting himself into: It's good in a way that he's trying to be responsible but at what cost?

Hmmm.. All the same, it's best not to poke that bear because give somebody a knife in television, 9/10 times it turns out *badly*... (The Dylan/Madon/Matty/Logan mess on Corrie, though it was to hammer home "You live by the sword, you die by it")

I had the same thought about Eliza's explanation to Roo about what she had in her box, she can be very convincing but on the other hand it could be Roo wanting to believe her.   She didn't say why the faces on  photo of her parents had been scratched out and Roo wisely didn't ask.  No mention of the shank of hair though. Good point about her being sent to her grandmother if she was a danger to her parents.  Bizarre thought but did she take  the ring of her nan after she allegedly  pushed her down the stairs.  The lighter, if Eliza is to be believed, was her nans too. She did listen to Roo when she said the knife could be returned to Alf when he comes back.  Have you noticed she very rarely smiles?

Harper did try and help and nearly got through but then Tane went into protective mode.  I can see where he was coming from Harper isn't far from her due date and she doesn't need the stress, not good for her or Archie. I'm guessing that is why she decided not to see Eliza again but in her eyes, only my speculation, she's been rejected again. Sad for 🧸 but at least it was only him getting burnt.

Kirby was getting herself into a real knot about how Justin would go with Forrest.  He and Remi were right about how much to offer him too much would be just as bad as offering him too little.  Do you go high and haggle down or vice versa?  Anyways Justin for all his inexperience  did crack it, hope he had someone with him to read all the small print behind the small print.  It certainly took off a lot of pressure on her.  She can use her old songs, tweak them if she wants.

Bree isn't finding it as much fun as she thought  it would be living on her own, did she really say she'd never lived on her own before but surely she must have, where did she live when Jacob was away?  Remi was surprised - nay shocked - when that bundle of money -  500💵 was left by Sonny.  He said himself he'd never paid back any loans before so naturally he was worried.  Gentle hint by Bree that Remi should maybe talk to him.

Bad Mali teasing Abby like that.

So Justin's met Gage, which has opened up a whole can of worms.Justin, Leah and Remi all seemed to have reached the conclusion that Sonny has got Theo into trouble with the River Boys, which isn't entirely untrue, but Theo is doing his very best to make sure he stays in trouble with them.Still, I'm not sure what Sonny's game plan is here.Getting Theo to sell the car would pay off Theo's debt and free him from the River Boys but Sonny seems to be offering to pay back Remi, offering to pay Leah board and splashing the cash around with meals at Salt and the Diner, even though he seemed to give all his last batch of earnings to Remi and doesn't have any other source of income?

I don't think Irene has any right to feel offended, given she was the one demanding John stay away from her because she found it difficult. Anyway, at least she's reached out to him. Crikey, that was a really mistimed line from Irene, sarcastically claiming to be enquiring about "the flipping pope": When was this shown in Australia?!

Kirby got herself in a bit of a tizzy: It is possible to fiddle with something too much. Justin seemed to rightly guess she was procrastinating and put a stop to it.

Ah, just managed to sneak in then: If it had been a month later...

On an unrelated note, why did Sonny feel the need to rush in and distract Kirby when she was walking away from Theo and Lacey?

Funny how people's eyes zone in the Blood & Sand tat when a RB rolls up, though when Gage met Kirby asking where Theo was, his sleeves were rolled down so she didn't see it. Maybe just me but I got the impression she was a bit taken by him.    It was a wrong conclusion for Leah, Justin and Remi to make as we know Sonny didn't know who the RB's were when Gage approached him as he wasn't aware of who they were and that tat wouldn't have meant anything to him.  It was only when Theo told him when they rocked up to their place.  Theo's not an impressionable teen, it's the cars and Lacey which has got him fired up.  Sonny, as far as I can see it, has stepped away from them  and trying, unsuccessfully to get Theo to do the same.  Just where has Sonny got his other cash from, he paid Remi back then offered to buy meals, has he got other deals going on - oh wait what about that guy who has offered to buy Theo's car?  Leah, being Leah refused any money from him.  Remi after a  hefty nudge from Bree did make an approach to Sonny which eased the tension between them a bit.

Not looking good between Gage and Theo, Gage does like waving that wrench about doesn't he?

I think Sonny ushered Kirby away, I thought she was walking up to it,  from likely seeing Theo and Lacey having that not so secret snog so she didn't blurt it out to someone she shouldn't.  It was hardly discreet though was it?

Knew it had to happen sooner than later Marilyn couldn't keep the lie (which Leah agreed with) about John going to see a 'poorly' Jett  much longer.   Two minds thinking alike, it was her - Irene - blaming John for all her ills that made him  go away.  Hopefully he'll forgive her, allowing for her just having got out of rehab  and come back and as John  is Tane and Harper's celebrant, he'll need to come back pretty soon anway.

Ditto with Kirby getting her pants in a real panic, by overtweaking her music, so OK a little bit, it's been a while since she first wrote it and she could have seconds thoughts about  the wording or the music itself, but she was way overdoing it.  Of course here we are  talking like we're professional composers/songwriters 🤣.  Justin did finally get through to her. It's not as if Remi will be charging them a fortune, if anything, to use the  studio. On that subject how is she going to fit these recording sessions  in while working at the board shop, she is going to have  a serious talk with Mali. He'll be on his own then  as Abby is working in Salt.

Gage's presence in the Bay has got a lot of people's spidey-senses tingling. In a way, Cash has put Justin in a difficult position by confiding in him, since it's left him obligated to tell Leah only half the story.Everyone continues to put too much focus on Sonny. It's not entirely unfair, since Sonny twice dragged Theo out there to do a job for Gage, but Theo is definitely doing his very best to stay in.By the end of the episode, Sonny's pretty much washed his hands of him.I wonder how Leah and Justin will see him moving out? Theo complaining that Sonny used to be fun was enlightening: For probably the first time in his life, Sonny is trying to be the grown-up in the room. Lacey's expression changing after Cash and Gage had gone was a bit telling, it's almost like being a tough girl is partly an act to fit in. She is very keen for Theo to compete, but then so is Theo.

Fair play to Irene, once John was back she was conciliatory and even apologetic towards him.I must admit I was kind of hoping Irene would stick to her guns and not want to risk attending the wedding rather than being won over by John's magic touch. It was sweet of him to offer to stay off the alcohol with her, anyway.Probably not much chance of her having to go home during the vows, since there's unlikely to be any alcohol around at that point! That's later.

And we're back to Cash getting grumpy about being best man to a couple who aren't in love or at least one of them isn't.Given that everyone involved is being honest about what they want, I still feel like Cash should just go with it and try to be true to that, instead of feeling like he has to pretend it's a "proper" wedding.

That was a truly heart warming🥰 ❤️moment when John turned up at the Diner and Irene gave him that HUGE hug. 🤗   Her apology was sincerely meant and he did say he'd only left so to give her space.  He could have blown it though and risked being told to do one   by keep going on about her attending the Wedding and she wouldn't have to stay if she felt stressed.  She was testing herself when she went into Salt and then there was no-one else about swigging the grog.  They were able to joke about it as John even said he'd leave even if it meant him being in mid speech.  I was wondering the same about her just attending the ceremony/service then leaving before they get stuck into the booze.  We don't know how it's going to be laid out, will the food and drink be that close to where the vows will be given?  It may have been an unintentional pun but it made me  🙂when Irene said that she'd told Harper even if she couldn't be there in person she'd be there in spirit.🍷

Back to the dramatics with Theo, Gage and on the periphery Sonny.  To give them credit Leah and Justin don't know what we know about the whole situation, they're assuming - hate that word - Sonny is the one leading Theo astray when he's quite capable of doing his own thing by himself.  I still have this niggling feeling Sonny's  been involved in things like this before hardly  a new thing for gangs to get involved  with.   Justin is pushing the RB thing and why Gage is hanging about is  not going anywhere as the more Justin wants answers Theo is going to be clamming up. I guess as a RB's girl/lady you have to be tough, they may be likely to be able to play away but a definite no-no for them.

Oh the infamous you didn't hear this from me line.🙄 It's certainly put the kibbosh on the no secrets promise Justin and Leah made.

If it wasn't Tane getting married to Harper Cash may have different thoughts about the speech  giving the impression that Harper and Tane are  a loving couple and happily expecting a little one, but Tane is his ex brother-in-law and Harper is a friend.  Cash knows how much Tane loved Felicity and if it hadn't ended the way it did - meaning them splitting up - they would have still been together when she died.

Tane could never love someone else the way he loved Flick but that's true for  a lot of people, they may fall in love with  someone else but it would never be in the same way.
