Of all the soaps, There's just a louder vocal disullision with Corrie at the moment. Even the Diehards have had enough.

I'm deferring thr current at least a week or two these days and I'm more into the 2006 rpts.

I must admit the last few episodes of Corrie have been very bizarre butterscotch angel delight fortune cookies wouldn’t be at the top of my hostage demand list

The shows 40th anniversary is in two years but as we know Channel 7 or Home and Away itself won’t acknowledge it as they aren’t bothered and don’t want to age the show by celebrating it and it’s 40 year milestone. Will Channel 7 call time on Home and Away in two years or will it continue beyond 2028.

Just a theory as Neighbours is gone once again following the two year Amazon Era.

It's their Golden Goose as they pump out 7 eps a week. They'll likely promote for the 40th but leave it to surrounding news shows covering the event but do beggar-all for the actual show as apparently they don't like "being reminded how old the show is"

The Pre 2010 era was its best it’s what made the show so popular so why on earth would they be ashamed of it, the Braxton era even is better then today’s material they are producing.

No idea but that's really when the show changed the most to what it is, especially 2011 and onwards. They're very reluctant to mention characters before that and no chance of them ever returning.

I agree even though she returned in 2013 I highly doubt we will ever see Sally Fletcher ever again she would probably be out of place in this era if she did return. Previous characters like the Sutherland’s have been wiped from memory so we will never see any of them again, so yes any characters we do see again should any of them ever return will be characters from 2011 onwards but the show likes to focus on introducing new characters instead to keep the show fresh so that trend will continue as we know.

Agreed. The best we can hope for is if she makes an appearance when Alf eventually leaves...maybe he goes with her. I know Ray and Kate would be on board and maybe they can convince TPTB.

I did enjoy Irene's exit but was disappointed we didn't get her kids (Damien's actor said prior to her exit, he'd come back) or anyone else. The flashbacks were good though.
