emmasi Posted August 21, 2008 Report Posted August 21, 2008 I'm watching a documentary about Star Wars: Clone Wars. It's making me want to cry. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan or anything, but I am a fan of animation. It physically hurts to watch these blocky, ugly characters jerking their way through hideously cliched dialogue for no other reason than making fast, easy money off the franchise. It's gross. Seriously, most computer games have more quality control put into them than this crap... And don't get me started on this token female character they've decided to shove in our faces. How can they go from Princess Leia and that that Amadala chick - intelligent, confident women who know what they're doing - to a bumbling, whiny little brat and call that something for young girls to look up to? UGH! What happened to George Lucas? Is he really the same man who brought us Han Solo and Chewy, Jareth and Sarah, and the REAL Indiana Jones? Sometimes I wonder... (Although to be fair, Labyrinth was mostly a Jim Henson/Brian Froud affair from what I understand - but it was a LucasFilm all the same.) Well, that's a plus. Apparently there'll be a review of the Family Guy version of Star Wars. Which clearly had more thought put into it than this movie ever did... Oh, and Robot Chicken. Not very interesting scenes though - darn PG rating. Star Wars: Clone Wars sux.
