KaitieL Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 Thanks to my husband, I'm sick. I have a cold and my nose is so stuffed up! It was freezing last night, but he still had the air con on. His reason - to block out the noise from the horses stomping (there are a lot of horse trainers where we live and they do it in the early hours of the morning). I told him next time to listen to his ipod - it's a lot cheaper than the bloody air con.

I never read Othello at school, although some of my friends at other schools who did a slightly different English Literature specification for their final exams studied it for one of the papers and they said it wasn't very nice. We prepped Antony and Cleopatra for our exam - amazing play, but studying it in such detail and over and over again for aforementioned exam takes the creativity and life out of it and turns it into a collection of internal rhyme, poetic techniques and double entendres! Although I still adore Shakespeare - maybe I'm just weird, though... I don't know!
