Don't find it plausible Forrest caved as he has very little to gain from letting Kirby go.  If they took her to court, surely the only option for her would be to do the 3 albums as agreed in her contract.

That’s the silly thing I thought once you signed a contract you had to work it at least part of it

I don’t really get why Kirby is so happy to leave Forest maybe it’s just me wanting to become famous haha seems very strange and daft to me

As confirmed in this episode, part of Kirby and Remi's deal with Forrest is that Lyrik get their material back.I can just about accept it's better for Forrest to just take the work Kirby's done and cut his losses than try and force her to churn out material in a workmanlike manner.Of course, it's beginning to look as though Lyrik might have cried wolf.A social media video is all very well, but they need to organise a proper comeback gig as soon as possible before everyone loses interest. On the personal front, Bree just about managed to explain to Remi why she's not ready to live with him full-time.

I'm not sure Leah managed to convince that wanting to marry Justin wasn't a kneejerk reaction to the situation they were in at all, but I guess it's what Justin wants so he's willing to go along with it.Cash had a point about the police's cavalier attitude to Leah and Justin's safety, but charging in and acting like he's running the case probably did more harm than good.(I'm guessing Leah still isn't aware of his suspension and possibly of Irene's arrest?)And still no-one has noticed the mysterious orderly hanging about the place, although thank goodness for Lyrik, demonstrating that being popular is Justin's best defence.

It really isn't smart for the show to have Marilyn loftily declare that she doesn't want to lie, especially to Alf, and then proceed to do nothing but for weeks. Oh well, all in a good cause, I suppose...

Forrest and his company get the rights to Kirby's work she did with them and Lyrik get back  the rights to the work she did when with them so they can now play 'their' music again and release the album.  May not be the usual way of doing things but as you said Red, if it works for both of them what's the prob?  Kirby will have to hear her work sung by and attributed to someone else when it's played on the radio.  Good to see them all together and rehearsing for what seemed an eternity.

OK Bree isn't exactly alone while living with Xander and Rose but they do do different shifts so I guess sometimes she is on her own in the flat so able to chill out.  Relieved to know Remi got it and didn't take it personally, maybe more um interesting for them to be apart and  either meet up at the house or the flat - nudge, nudge, ??.

No way was Justin going to get out of Leah's proposal that easily.

The cops had already spoken to Leah about the abduction but as Justin has only just come round they couldn't question him before to get his memory of it and what he could tell them.  We got to find out  a little bit more about the incident - they stopped to help a stranded motorist - how many times does that happen - and got jumped.  I think it helped it was Rose asking them, more patient than another cop.  Justin was able to confirm Vita Nova was behind it one of the guys mentioned Margot.

No way was Cash to blame for getting Justin involved, he's an adult for Gods sake and he was doing it to rescue Andrew but Cash does have a habit of blaming himself when things go wrong.    He did have a point about the police guard suddenly being taken off duty when Justin was moved out of ICU.   A new one was suddenly appointed but then was so easily sent off to get himself some snacks.

Going off on a tandem what happens if a guard needs to  go to the loo while on duty??

But that is the whole point of this mysterious orderly/nursing assistant that no-one has noticed.  No disrespect to any nursing staff but to us mortals they all look alike so wouldn't be noticed.  Might even be the same with other staff, for all they know they could be a newbie/transferred from another ward.  Leah even spoke to him and to give Vita Nova credit he didn't stand out from the crowd,  just looked ordinary so a description of him would be pretty vague.  He did get thwarted twice with  his deadly plan to finish Justin off.

Great minds think alike, Maz did swear to Alf she wouldn't lie to him again but it was in a good cause this time, it may not have been the best reason for him not to travel but all she could think of at the time. Hardly tell him the truth could she, that they were all planning a surprise Celebratory do in his honour.   Didn't Roo and Maz co-ordinate in the back up 'story'?

I could cope with Justin and Leah's storyline being played out alongside other things, but it's a bit odd that with an assassin hanging around Justin's hospital room we get an episode of Lyrik and hiding Alf's keys! At least the recap gives us an idea of what to expect...

There was at least some enjoyment to be had in watching John, Roo, Marilyn and Mali running around trying to keep Alf in town. Not a surprise that Martha gets a sudden bout of flu that stops her attending. As John almost said, Roo and Marilyn could have easily used that as an excuse to keep Alf in town, although to be fair, he'd probably want to go up there to look after her.Mali eventually has to resort to the truth and hope Alf isn't too grumpy about it.I did like that Marilyn gave John a bit of a pep-talk about his speech.

Meanwhile, John is grudgingly respecting Lyrik and even singing their songs, although it seems like the big time is still some way away.I can understand why Kirby wouldn't feel comfortable using Forrest like that. It's easy to forget, given that it's been so many months and he's been vaguely supportive of Kirby (more so than Eden anyway!), that the tension started with Remi making unilateral decisions for them all.I'm glad they all ended up on the same page but what exactly was on those sheets of paper Eden was looking at? If they were all writing "Kirby" or "Remi", wouldn't they recognise each other's handwriting? What happens to voting with guitar pluckers? I like that Theo and Kirby continue to be good friends.

The Alf stuff is something  that would have been done in 1991 rather well.

I would love to know the deal with Belinda/Cynthia/Martha (delete as applicable), is she unwell for real? Other commitments? Couldn't be arsed to sign on?

Option 4 I believe - she's not been asked.

Or at least that was the case when someone asked her early last year sometime. She's been busy with theatre more recently so might not be available even if they did decide to write her in again.

I presume it’s either budgetary or the character just isn’t very popular, it does make sense to not bring her back if they don’t have anything for her to do, but something like this would’ve worked, much more so than Alf returning to Summer Bay and deciding to turn straight back around to go to Merimbula. Martha returning from the dead has just been a massive failure and her sole purpose seems to be as a means to serve Georgie Parker & Ray Meagher’s breaks - there’s a wealth of characters Alf could go to see, even Roo could go to see Martha Jnr (as who will still care she’s on the run), Duncan, Ryder or look after Celia following a fall or something!

Alf’s ceremony has provided some light relief though and seems like a good compromise to celebrate the 35th Anniversary without admitting the show’s age as the apparently the fickle young Australian audience wouldn’t watch if they knew it was old, but it’s ok with Alf because it’s obvious he’s old, he’s just the funny old guy who’s kinda cool, I guess.
