I was glad that Xander stepped up for his sister, I know she can do fine by herself but it's always nice to have that backup I think and know it.

Zara is, sadly for me, is utterly unlikable and the 'pour my heart out' moment came across as emotional blackmail and rather disengenuous and her using the 'I'm right for Mali because I can make him hate you because of your job' just showed her to be petulant, however...Mali, grow up and grow a backbone, you don't owe her a thing, she's a grown woman who needs to own the consequence of her decisions. Equally, go Rose! I don't think she wants to split with him but having said that, she'd do it in the blink of an eye because she's sensible enough not to be anybody's fool.

I have to say, though we can see Flick is lying, she clearly enjoys the practice part!

One thing jumped out at me during the Marilyn/Roo/Irene scene where Irene was ripping Roo to shreds was when she said 'What's the matter with you, it's over.'

Roo: Yeah, for you.

That to me was very telling, because, yes she is recovering, but it doesn't mean its over and sometimes the mental scars of rehab can be the thing to do the damage rather than the injury/consequence of but because Roo is walking and Marilyn's bottom lip starts trembling for more than half a second the world ends.

Also, one thing that I can't get...

Spoiler

Alf finds out about Dana being the nurse, believe he's not going to be best pleased; it's not really his business, it's up to Roo who she would want caring for her and yes, while familiar faces are good I could also understand Roo possibly wanting an outsider for the dignity aspect even in physio because often you want your loved ones to stay just that but when actually caring as it rehab type comes into play, it can often change that relationship, sometimes for the better, sometimes worse and I think Roo would want to protect that if you like.

Despite Irene patting herself on the back for giving Roo so-called "tough lough" (ie trampling over her feelings for Marilyn's sake), she was in much greater need of it here.I kind of wish John had put his foot down sooner and told her to forget about charging over to Salt to sort out the presentation and go and focus on her own problems. At least he seemed to get there in the end.Irene seemed to get lumped in with John somewhat, with Mackenzie keen to pass them both over to Xander.I'm glad Harper's decided that showing loyalty to Irene is the most important thing and refused to cut her off: Maybe it'll make John think more highly of her. I liked that Eden made an effort to accept her as Cash's friend.

Meanwhile, Mali's plan falls apart pretty much straightaway. It's lucky that Mackenzie overheard Zara leaving Mali that message when she first arrived or she might have thought she had a breakfast burglar.Mali is a lot more susceptible to Mackenzie laying down the law than he was Rose, but hasn't really made the right choice in deciding to just go back to square one.

I've not been Rose's biggest fan but she's having to deal with quite a bit.  I thought it was absolutely hilarious Irene having a go at Rose for choices she made multiple times.  It was frustrating see Dana have a go at Rose as well and then Harper asking to be released from bail.  Nobody forced Irene or Harper into doing anything.

I'd forgotten about Zara but she immediately was getting on my nerves.  She's just so conniving, purposely muscling in on Rose and Mali's date by offering to pay for dinner.  Admittedly though, I did find Felicity's discomfort when she was serving them at Salt quite amusing.  I'm actually more annoyed at Mali as he's allowing this to happen and to put it bluntly being very weak. And now apparently, because he couldn't tell Zara to just leave, he moved into Rose's and left her at somebody else's house, without the person's consent (good to see Mackenzie back by the way). I don't think Rose has been completely blameless since they've been dating but I am feeling sorry for her.    I was glad Xander called Zara out and Rose gave Mail an ultimatum which forced him to make some kind of decision even though it's backfiring.

I'm not going to pass judgment on Felicity carrying on with the birth control just yet but part of me is looking forward to the fireworks.

I was actually on Marilyn's side when Roo wanted her to lie to Alf about why she moved out.  Roo asked her to leave so she should have been prepared to own it.  She obviously knew Alf would object.  I will say Irene annoyed me again when she intervened, although I guess it turned out for the best.

Irene has  just been procrastinating about seeing a lawyer so good for John keeping nagging her about it, then finally 'dragging' her off to see one. Why has she been so reluctant, her 'shady' past has been some time ago hasn't it?   There will be plenty of people who'd give her great character references, Alf will not be a happy bunny when he finds out.   I hope the lawyer, whoever it is, manages to put her mind at rest but at least she'll know where she stands.   ? to Harper standing by her.  I'm supposing Dana is still staying at Irene's.

Did I get it wrong did Cash say he's on official suspension for three months so he hasn't lost his job?   Eden and Harper did meet briefly before didn't they but good they all got to meet properly.

For a supposedly smart lady Zara is a right wuss, ringing Mali to complain about the fact they've run out of bread.  I know the farmhouse is out in the country but hasn't she heard of cabs so she could go and buy bread and other provisions - oh no she can't as it appears she hasn't got any money.  I suppose Mac would have been OK with it if Zara had only stayed for a couple of days but it's been a couple of weeks now hasn't so now wonder she was peed off with him for not telling her.   Mac does have Mali over a barrel effectively forcing him to move back in as she doesn't want to live there with someone she doesn't even know.  I suppose Mali could move Zara into a motel, but how will he afford it and she 'needs' a couple of weeks to get her story straight in her head as to what she is going to tell her mum and dad.  At least he won't be alone with her  now as Mac is back so he can avoid going home as much as he can.  That was a very short stay at the Diner flat and Xander will be back to being out numbered.

Am I getting far too ahead of myself or is there  a chance of a romance between Harper and Xander?

Mac was very pleased to hear about Tane and Felicity's plan to start a family BUT as we saw Mac finds the pills Flick has stashed in the store cupboard.

I don’t know with not being a woman but wouldn’t you keep your pills in your bathroom cabinet and not in a zip up case in the storage room of your business wouldn’t you keep those private There always seems to be a silly angle to a Feicity story

I guess Felicity was more worried about the pills being found at home than at work! Of course, she reckoned without Mackenzie's super-sleuth skills. I suppose we can assume they're birth control given the reaction, even if the show is typically coy at saying it outright.Felicity taking a "fake it till you make it" approach does sound like her, but she's backed herself into a right corner here.

Irene annoyed me greatly here, bullying Xander rather than facing up to her problems and then being an utter hypocrite with Harper by telling her to follow her lawyer's advice when she won't do the same.Whilst Dana's attitude annoyed me as well, I couldn't be bothered to feel sorry for Irene when the girls looked into her past...and was it really not true? Hopefully John has finally got through to her.Harper continues to impress with refusing to abandon Irene after she put her neck on the line for them.

Bye bye, Zara. Mali finally put his foot down: Took his time about it but he got there in the end.I guess Zara's willingness to listen to reason shows she's not totally beyond redemption and I'm glad Rose seems to have got over it quickly.
