Dana went up in my estimation too when she told Roo the real reason why she left her last job. She could have kept quiet, Roo had been suitably impressed, not that she's had a flood of applicants, but someone could  let it slip at a later date which would have been much worse - another lie.  She was offered her old job back but there would be that atmosphere.  As happens in soaps she was in the right place at the right time thanks to Irene who has reappeared again.   Is she going to be a live-in at Roo's?  She did immediately pick up on Roo's condition so knew what to do, when to help and when to hold back.    It may have just been me but I had the odd feeling Roo was going to miss Marilyn.  it was ironic Harper is now the one without a job, I guess there won't be much demand for a facilitator, is that what she does, in the bay.

Mali is too kind for his own good. Zara is really playing with his head and heart by contacting his mum who as we know would expect him to do the 'right' thing about an old family friend.  Did Zara fill Victoria in with her plans for him and her.   They have certainly been slagging him off on H&A FB forum, calling him a wimp and a lot worse but if he just chucked her out he wouldn't be the Mali we've come to love.   I loved how Xander was fighting Mali and Rose's corner even if he didn't always make a good job of it.  But he did shut her down when he revealed Rose is a cop and Mail's family are fine about it which she didn't expect.  We did find out she had just passed her law degree but she can't just set up a legal practice to help her community, wouldn't she need to get some training on how to help said community? Another thing does Mac know she's got another guest,  isn't that why Rose doesn't live there just stays over?   It isn't Mali's place so taking a bit of  a liberty, well Zara is, expecting to stay.   She is really jumping ahead of herself, marriage, babies!

Dana did the right thing telling Marilyn she wasn't going to spy on Roo for her...and then promptly spoiled it by making a disastrous attempt at an intervention.I'm glad most of the blame didn't fall on her, but despite Roo rightly expressing exasperation about how Marilyn gets forgiven for everything because she's the golden middle-aged child, it feels like it's now only a matter of time before she weakens enough to ask her back.

Well, Felicity asked Tane to keep an eye on Cash but it ended up being more a case of the other way round.I think Tane's worked himself up into a stare a bit with his assumptions. He needs to think long and hard about what his options are.He can sit around moping and hoping Felicity changes her mind when there's a good chance she won't.But it still feels like his best option is to look at his life, realise it's not as bad as he thought, and be prepared to take whatever comes along.

Irene biting John's head off was a bit disappointing (there's enough people to do that already) but at least his being a supportive friend led to her listening to his ideas.

Roo was dead on about everybody just forgiving Marilyn when she's made a mistake because they all love her so much.  I know Dana was trying to help Roo but it did annoy me when she spoke to Marilyn and told Marilyn to go and see her.  Roo is so determined to have her independence away from Marilyn, she didn't even consider letting Dana go for that misgiving.  I'm glad Marilyn agreed to give Roo some space, well for now anyway.  It will be interesting to see if Roo reconciles with Marilyn before Alf returns.

Whilst I find Harper annoying, I am interested to see where this friendship with Cash is going.  If he keeps hanging out with her it's going to cause problems with Eden.  I was also glad Harper spoke to Felicity about Tane.  Tane is a concern.  He's not even angry, just seems defeated and dejected.  Almost like he's given up.  I was genuinely surprised Felicity asked him what's going on, unless it was simply a conversation starter, because she knows damn well it's about her decision not to have kids.

Roo back tracking and saying she misses Marilyn didn’t really make much sense to me Marilyn hasn’t really left Roo alone long enough for her to miss her I don’t think so I thought that was abit naff

Tane didn’t really come across drunk to me Harper worrying about getting work she doesn’t realise that she lives in soapland does she? She doesn’t find it odd that her sister who has a drug charge against her just happens to land a nursing job just when Roo needs one That’s magic just there happening before her eyes

Dana was sharp enough to pick up on the tension between Marilyn & Roo but Maz stepped over the line asking Dana to let her know how Roo was doing or rather not doing.   Roo did tell Dana what the real problem was, how long she had known Marilyn and how people had helped Maz out of her predicaments before but couldn't forgive her for this one.  BUT and it's big BUT, Roo was the one who sent that text triggering the CEO to set off the bomb not Maz.   I was right about the look on Roo's face the other night she doesn't want Marilyn around but misses  the friendship they had.

Did it get settled about what happens overnight with Roo, despite her insistence she'd be OK, no way should she be left on her own, she could fall out of bed, in the loo, down the stairs.  She could have one of those personal alarms, but who will be on it, they'd have to be near enough so she wouldn't be left lying around too long.

Just how long were Tane and Cash at SALT, they rocked up early in the day and were still there at night time?  It did come across as Cash was looking after Tane instead of the other way round, he picked up his mood and tried to get him to open up about it which he eventually did, then of course Flick found out and there was another awkward talk between them. He should and must tell her how he is really feeling  otherwise it would just build and build up in him.  I guess at one time it would never have occurred to him he'd want to be a dad, he did have rather  a wild lifestyle.  We saw what he was like when we first met him and Ari was very against Nik wanting to know him as he was the 'bad' uncle.

Dana has been found innocent of any drug charges and she has  been hired as a private nurse not in a hospital which may have different rules about it.

While Cash & Harper may have just been friends when they knew each other before I did get  a vibe between them.  Although with Harper it was her choice not to go back to her old job but with Cash he's been suspended so not his choice so feeling very lost, nor knowing if he'll be allowed to keep his job must be very frustrating and the waiting can't be helping.  Eden's absent again so he can't offload onto her.  Hence his ruining Tane and Felicity's morning delight.   Wildly guessing here but it could be he is re-instated but bumped down to constable.

What on earth is the Surf Club Committee thinking of, asking - or rather telling - John  he's the one to be responsible for arranging the  Tribute to Alf.  They must know how Alf feels about John.  I hope he and Irene work something out and while not rope Roo into it, it'll give her something to do. It'll certainly get her brain ticking over and  she'd have great tales to tell and be able to put it together.  Irene was snappy with John but she's worried about what, if any charges, the police will bring against her.  The lawyer, apparently, wasn't able to reassure her much but he is there for her, surely though if she was going be charged she would have been told by now?

That was certainly a sharp swerve at the end with the trailer, nothing what so ever to do with what is happening in the bay, but Justin and Leah in the warehouse!  Do we get the lead up to that seeing as we only have two nights to go?   I know we won't be finding out until next year but how long will they in't bay cotton on they are missing?  They don't even know where they are.

That was a sudden swerve to Leah and Justin having suddenly been locked in what appears to be an abandoned factory by "the cult" (presumably Vita Nova, although no-one actually says so).Given what happened to Andrew's mother, I'm left wondering if they do this sort of thing a lot. It's hard to see what else Justin could have done in the circumstances, but yeah, that was a plan fraught with risk to say the least.

I really didn't like Tane unloading to Felicity like that: He didn't quite say he'd break up with her if she didn't give him a child, but he seemed to be presenting it as a possibility. So fair play to him for backtracking and acknowledging that you don't always get everything you want and he's better off with the woman he loves and no child than potentially having nothing. As it turns out, Felicity tells him she wants a baby anyway. She seemed sincere, if a bit hesitant: There was no smile disappearing when he couldn't see.I'm not entirely sold on her assertion of being committed to everything she agrees to though: She was wavering on getting married right up to the morning of the (first) ceremony.

Eden shrugged off Bree's fears about Remi, which may still be valid, he's obviously not in a good place.I don't think it was fair of Theo to put pressure on Remi and Eden to attend Kirby's launch, whether he had a point or not:It should be up to them.Kirby seemed to waver on having to go alone.

So, after yesterday's promo gave away pretty much the entire story of Leah and Justin, ironically today's completely ignored that cliffhanger and focused on a different storyline!

Justin has been injured so many times at this point that I’m starting to hope he’ll die so we don’t have to keep going through this rinse and repeat spin cycle.

I'm glad with Roo they are showing the psychological issues that come with disability/rehab and how overwhelming it can feel, I think she's aware of the support she has but in some ways it's a kind of 'you can be lonely even in the biggest crowd' because no-one can actually feel your feeling. Dana was wrong to break her trust but I'm glad she (Dana) put Marilyn in her place, she needs it sometimes.

The thing with Roo and Marilyn friendship/loss it is like a grief sometimes and apologising isn't always the cure, the want of your friend and the very real fear of being the victim again can be a very powerful battle.

Slade, agree with everything in your post!

Spoiler

As I said in another topic, wondering if they're signposting a breakdown storyline for Tane as he's had several major traumas in his tenure and mainly being the support for everyone else and possibly that element of being a 'man's man' so he would neither talk or ask for help type thing.
