Pretty sure there will  be more to come with Madden, he's bound to have friends in high places who'll he'll threaten to bring down with him if they don't sort things. But of course they will have even more powerful friends.  Fletcher, I think,  will likely be thrown to the wolves.  Maybe, without knowing it, Dana knows something about Madden, then Olly alerted him  and did a deal??  Cash, as we know, can go barrelling in without thinking it through.   Rose was a lot calmer about it all.  Don't forget it seems Yabby Creek hasn't got  a sergeant, we haven't seen one for ages?  Six of one half a dozen of the other regards Dana being held in custody at Yabby Creek, Madden is senior to all of them so could have easily just walked off with her saying he was taking her to the city.    Of course he'll use the "She's a junkie so you can't believe anything she says" line.  Another hospital that has doctors who can perform miracles.  Harper objected to having a cop being stationed at Dana's bedside but in the eyes of the law she is still a fugitive, but also it's to keep her safe in case Madden arranged for one of his cronies to 'visit' her.    Rose did have the decency to let Irene know both she and Harper could be done for harbouring a fugitive and possibly may do time. Cash could be in even more trouble seeing as he's a cop.

That was a better apology Mail got from Xander than the one he had before.  Mali, from what he said, sounded like he was left out of the meeting Rose had with Samuel.   Flick does seem to have left Xander in the lurch, expecting him to run things but it was his error he'd forgotten about the Hen Night as he missed Mac's email.  From what we briefly saw it looked like it started off as a disaster but Mali seemed to have saved it.

Who's Lyric?

I'm not all that convinced that Remi and Eden performing the song in public would be the disaster it's painted as. After all, Kirby herself said that people listening to a song rarely know what it's actually about. Is the risk that Kirby will know what it's about? Do Eden and Remi really care about her these days? Meanwhile...I'm not sure the hen party would be won over by some fancy dancing from Mali but hey, if it works, use it. At least Xander looked as unconvinced!

Marilyn is actually doing the right thing by respecting Roo's wishes, so I'm really not keen on Alf pressuring and guilt-tripping her into going and bothering her just to make his life easier.

Rose was harsh yesterday, and it looked at first as though John was going to be equally harsh today, so it was heartwarming to see him being supportive of Irene and helping her get things in perspective.

I’m not sure how impressed a bride would actually be about Mali doing some cheesy dancing for the last night of being single I mean I’m straight and everything but I thought he could have at least stripped that would have seemed less cheesy with the whole way the hens night was going wild around him I actually said out loud what a load of crap haha

Marliyn yes since Heather I find her quite annoying but Roo I don’t find her a very nice person so I do think her treatment of Marliyn is very bad and well Alf has gone down in my books too these days So a bunch of characters I don’t find at all likeable together isn’t good

Where's Yabby Creek? ?

Sorry couldn't resist that, being another long-running mistake, but I think we do get the gist of the whole Lyrik/Lyric thing now.

It may just be down to a constant battle against autocorrect (though that only takes one tap to fix permanently), or it could be that people are now doing it on purpose to antagonise, but the reminders are getting a bit repetitive now too.

If we could just end it now by asking people to at least try and make the effort to spell Lyrik correctly, then there won't be the need for constant reminders from members.

Dan F - How is Yabbie/Yabby spelt?, just answered myself by looking it up. I might come across as picky but it does irritate me when a name is always spelt wrong, but I'll abide by your request.

Justin picked up on the real message behind Lyrik's new song and so did Kirby by the look of it.  I'd like to think Remi & Eden  still care about her that's why it was written, they are hurt by her reaction.

Can't blame them for wanting their fee of free drinks from Xander after their gig was rejected by the chief bridesmaid.?   How much of that email of Mac's didn't he read.

Justin in a totally unrelated scene nearly got tempted by buying a new board but Leah put her foot down.

To be fair Xander was pretty desperate but the ladies liked it and they were the ones he had to keep happy,  couldn't have got any worse, got good reviews but why is Mali so nervous about Rose finding out about it, he didn't do anything wrong.

Alf was coming across as  a real bully, telling Marilyn she had to go and see Roo when he knows how Roo is feeling about her.  He could still go and see Martha, Roo is still in hospital and Irene and Leah could go and see her.

Rose, I guess, is seeing it from a cops point of view, whereas Cash was involved as Harper is an old friend and I think  it did cloud his judgement.   John, though sorely tempted, didn't come out as such and say "I told you so".   But he was there for  Irene, though his looking up the possible outcomes didn't entirely buck her up, John, may be a blusterer at times and doesn't always say the right things, but he's a good friend.

Marilyn really shouldn't have tried to force herself on Roo, and Alf really shouldn't have pressured her into doing it, while simultaneously going along with the whole "poor little Marilyn" thing and siding with his favourite "daughter" over Roo. That said...I think Roo pretending to make up with Marilyn was unnecessarily cruel. I don't even blame her for pretending for Alf's sake, but I think she should have been up front with Marilyn, who'd probably be willing to play along, rather than giving her false hope.

I was actually pleasantly surprised with the way Kirby finding the lyrics was handled.Remi and Eden had already decided not to perform it, but Kirby recognised that it was a good song regardless of what prompted it.And while there's still resentment there, Remi and Eden still have enough affection for her to wish her luck regardless.Justin and Theo seemed to do a double take at Kirby's images: I wonder how long she'll be able to take the label presenting a manufactured version of her.

Well maybe you should get your own spelling in order.  If you literally go back a few pages, you also got Tane's name wrong (I didn't mention it at the time as I have no interest in playing grammar police).

I'm guessing Tame wasn't expected home that day otherwise Flick  would have made other arrangements.

So, together with what is mentioned above, it's a bit rich for you to constantly look to correct people's posts whilst yours aren't exactly perfect.

Again, I don't like the way John was towards Irene but like Rose in the previous episode, he had a point.  You can definitely argue Harper and Dana took advantage of Irene as this was happening whilst she was away and she was put in a very difficult position although she did have a choice and chose to commit a crime.

The Xander/Mali scenes were a lot better than the previous episode with the hen night, although I'm still not really keen on either of them.

I like that Remi and Eden are trying to make an effort but I agreed with Justin that they shouldn't effectively be doing a hit piece on Kirby.  I did feel sorry for Kirby when she read the song Remi and Eden wrote about her.

I couldn't help but smile at the Roo/Marilyn scenes.  I'm loving Roo's bluntness.  Alf's blind defence of Marilyn is annoying "What have you said to Marilyn this time?".  The most frustrating thing is the failure to empathise exactly why Roo is so bitter.  Marilyn is making the whole thing about her and as she generally thinks the sun shines out of her backside, I'm not surprised she is oblivious but Alf is disappointing.  This is his own daughter but he's more focused on Marilyn's feelings than Roo's, to the point where he wasn't prepared to even go to see his own wife because of it.  Almost feels like he wishes Marilyn was his daughter.

I was laughing when Roo made up with Marilyn.  There was no way I was buying that.  It was clear it was purely for Alf's benefit and even Leah was immediately suspicious when Marilyn told her about it.  So, when Roo confirmed she only did it so Alf could go on a break, Leah didn't seem too surprised.  Objectively, I don't think Roo should be doing it because if Marilyn is looking after her, it's going to cause even more resentment and possibly mistreatment.

OOPS hands up, yes a misspelling with Tane's name, but n & m are next to each other on the keyboard.  I never said I was perfect but then none of us are.

Before we get into last night's episode where is the cul-de-sacs Neighbourhood Watch? Kirby just walked into Remi and Eden's place, the door was wide open.

It was lucky - for them - that Irene had to dash off so Harper could hide Dana there, but they didn't expect her to be back so quick and she did make the choice they could stay, she does favour the underdog,  but then circumstances caught up with them all. Unlike Irene not to have thought it through though.

Remi & Eden were having mixed feelings about the song and whether to release it, so decided not to to, Justin had put his feelings about it across and he was right Kirby did feel the same as did Theo.    Kirby wasn't too keen about the 'image' Forrest's people had created for her but felt she had to go along with it as it's part of the journey, but it's her journey.   She did ignore Forrest regards his objections about inviting Theo, Remi and Eden to her launch party.  In her eyes she's done the right thing, she's offered an olive branch it they choose not to go it's down to them.   Remi and Eden we know won't be going, will Theo do we think?  Justin & Leah are going and Irene. Kirby was understandably upset that they felt so strongly about her leaving they wrote something like that but she did understand why.   Lovely little scene with Kirby and Theo, putting all that angst behind them he was able to comfort her.

Roo is being very cruel, I can see why she lied to Maz so Alf can go and see Martha, but now she's chucked Maz out so how is this going to affect her going home as no-one is going to be there?  Will Roo be paying out for a live-in carer? The OT and H&S people will be checking it out, maybe need ramps for going up and down to the verandah, no problem with getting  a bed set up downstairs but what about loo/bathroom?  Just who is looking after the guests btw? Van's need cleaning, laundry as in bed linen, towels needs washing,  repairs etc.

Maz at some point needs to tell Roo some home  truths, Roo had a big hand in what happened, OK it was down to the very bad reaction she had to SO's sun lotion that she got involved but then she took over, just like she did when Maz was running the food kitchen in the city, Roo breezed in and Maz was pushed to one side.   Maz takes a lot from people but she has her limit and can snap.

I understand Roo faking it for Alf, often when you're in the position she's in you are willing to make yourself seem better because you can see how draining it is for your loved ones as well and you want to make it better, even for a day or two. Facing the adaptations might well be confronting for Roo too, it'll be interesting to see how that plays out too.

Kirby shouldn't have been reading the lyrics though, it's not her house anymore; I think Remi put it best when he said 'I wish her well but I'm not going' sometimes it's not about jealousy or holding a grudge  but staying out of the drama for your own self-care, the hurt dulls but never quite goes away and also even if you do resolve things, the change can be so big that it doesn't fit right. (I sadly speak from several painful experiences).
