Incidentally...was that meant to be the outside of Irene's house when Cash took Dana to the car? It must be 20 years since we last saw it!

Apparently so, though they were careful not to show too much.

In reality it was just the driveway of a house across the road from another location you'll see used on Thursday, so not a new 'Beach House' location really.

Bit like what I think was the last time in 2000, when we saw Irene and the Smith kids 'outside her house' near the bins when those hoons were threatening Irene with their car. Didn't show a specific house, just them at the end of a small lane leading to one of the beaches.

That did not look good when Bree & Remi came into SALT and saw Justin, Theo and Forrest looking very friendly, hopefully Bree managed to steer him away  as it would look like a betrayal to me.   May have been a bit of stretch calling Theo a mechanic.?  To be fair not like there  isn't anywhere else for people to go out for dinner is there?   Remi,  to be fair  did resist Bree's offer to pay rent, utility bills while Lyrik weren't earning but he got accused of it being  'man  pride'.  If Eden said no what would Bree accuse her of?  Anyways Bree is living there so why shouldn't she contribute + extra.

Nothing said but it seems she's gone off with Felicity for these Restorative Justice Programme meetings, but that should be kept quiet for now.

Maybe just me, cos I'm still not sure of him, but Forrest seemed very pushy when he was talking to Kirby about how her song  writing was going.  She did have others to fall back on before but now it's just her.

Maybe cops instinct with Madden and why Cash has decided to keep quiet - big risk though.  It was all to do with Susie and the money she had conned out of  Leah & Justin wasn't it and he hadn't been there long?  Leah found it at Stephen's motel room and was going to hand it in.    It appeared Harper did know about Dana's previous conviction and she had been in danger  of becoming an addict but it saved her.    Now she's accepted house arrest what's the likelihood of her/them being sprung.

Maybe Madden's channeling Carter (The Bald one, Not the Woman beater) before him?

Really? I'd invert that parallel. Woman Beater Carter was the one who seemed most likely to make the evidence fit a suspect just so he could get a result. Bald Carter might have had the usual soap cop tendency to focus on the wrong suspect, but he'd never have tried to fit anyone up.

Today! And...yeah. Turns out Justin really was being underhand in trying to set up a private deal for Theo behind everyone's backs, including Theo's. Fortunately. Theo had more loyalty than him...but ironically, this escapade seems to have renewed Theo's interest in music, so in a sense, job done.Whilst Remi's response was extreme, to be fair, he was walking away and Theo grabbed hold of him.I also think Bree needs to accept that not every man that throws a punch is Jacob.

Xander being unable to escape Kirby was kind of amusing, especially when she walked into Salt in the middle of a rant and seemed completely oblivious. Rose writing Samuel a letter is a smart idea.Odd that she seemed to immediately recognise his number: Did she get that from the police computer as well?

Yeh good for you Theo!!??  standing up to Justin like that when he was trying to railroad you into signing with Forrest, it wasn't about Theo it was about himself getting to know the industry better.  That emphatic NO, actually Justin was, to me, coming across just  like Dimitri, pushing Theo into doing something he wanted him to do. Forrest won't be a happy bunny but that's Justin's problem. Justin can be a real dork at times then at others he can be a really decent guy like when he was looking out for Andrew.  It did revive Theo's interest in music.   Leah hadn't been happy about it when she met Forrest the night before.  Maybe not be said but it will be a "I told you so" moment.

Bree did do well the night before steering Remi away from confronting Forrest, Justin & Theo three times, but it seemed it had just been boiling up in him and it was Theo's misfortune to approach Remi while he still had  a cob on. That is as we all know is so unlike Remi, he's the most laid back guy in the bay so for him to snap his buttons must  have been really pushed.   He did contact Theo later and apologised and then got better news that Theo had been offered a solo contract but he said no.  I can see why, kind of, Bree's fear, but Jacob was quite open about his aggression but while Remi can lose his temper, it's over as soon as it starts and one punch does not a thug make.  Theo forgave him and understood why so I hope she can do too.

I think Xander may be understanding how John felt when Lyrik were rehearsing, he's got it in his ear all the time from Kirby and no walls or space between to deaden it. He did look a bit lonely sitting there trying to watch TV, Rose & Mali deciding to go to bed rather than join him.?   I think Kirby was deliberately ignoring  Theo, Remi & Bree was because she's not supposed to approach them?   She did inspire Rose to write a letter, a proper, real letter written on paper to her 'father'.    It was very well written, not gushy, I HATE that word, not oversharing, just the facts as she knows them and asking him to confirm either way.  Did it have his name on the text message or just his number. It may have his home number that she could have tracked via his driving licence, she got his address through that.  She soon heard back so must be good news?

Brief appearance of Alf, good news about Roo, no mention of his hearing aids though, has he had them done?

Felicity was unnecessarily rude to Mackenzie but at least she apologised. It wasn't clear but it looked like Eden filled Mackenzie in on what was going on with Flick, something I didn't think they were doing. Felicity didn't mind anyway. I'm not sure Mackenzie gave her the best advice: Going into the meeting with a thirst for revenge won't really help anyone.

Rose gets to meet Samuel, despite being somewhat unprepared.I can understand Rose not wanting to hear that it was all her mother's fault, but it doesn't seem like he could have done much else in the circumstances.I noticed the camera angle obscured the year Rose was born, although she indicated her parents last met 26 years ago, which presumably makes her 25.

Alf is confirmed as having his hearing aids (which I think was mentioned last week?), but John isn't convinced of their effectiveness. Slightly worrying that John considers Alf not arguing with him a sign that something's wrong!

Understandable really that Flick was snappy with Mac as she didn't know what had been going on and it wouldn't be something she'd want anybody else knowing  if they didn't need to.  The news that the facilitators had given her the OK to go ahead if she wanted would have shaken her. Eden took a chance telling her, but Mac is a friend so made the right call.  Everyone is different about how they would feel about meeting your attacker, Eden would rather avoid it but Mac is of the opposite opinion.  Notice TPTB avoided using the word rape again, it is something, with the rare exception, that men couldn't possibly understand how it feels to a woman.  If you had been attacked, stabbed or shot by someone you didn't know and as far as you know you hadn't upset, ignored them you'd want to know why they had picked on you.   Flick had been drugged then raped so didn't have any recollection of it which must be worse.  I'd want to know why me, plenty of other women there.  The facilitators will talk to her again before meeting Jeremy.

Samuel seemed like a nice guy but that could have gone so wrong, he lived alone and she knew nothing about him.  I know she told Mali where she was but even so.  I didn't get the impression he put the blame on Yvette, he tried to find her as discreetly as he could but if she didn't want to be found he couldn't do much about it.  Don't forget he was her tutor so even without being married he was breaking the rules even if she was  over 18. May seem obvious but both are assuming they are father and daughter, for all he knows Rose could be a con artist or someone who is after his money so why have neither of them suggested getting a DNA test done just to be sure.  He was coming across as being keener on the notion she is his daughter and meeting up again, perhaps because he is on his own and is lonely?   Was a bit weird not seeing the year of Rose's birth 19??, but as she kept saying it was 26 years ago so makes it 1997, even I could work that out.

When he made his brief appearance  in the Diner nothing was said then, it was the next day.  Alf seemed far too cheery to me, he was  even pleasant to John, he was never that cheery back in the day, even before his loss of hearing.  He was always on the downside and anti anything he didn't understand yet here he was backing John's idea of team bonding so can see why John was worried/perplexed.   I'm guessing btw Mac left her team to look after the board meeting as she was with Eden & Felicity.

I'd assume Rose was born April 21st 1998, since her parents would have parted company around nine months earlier, which would be 26 years ago.

Alf's episode count this week:Three.

It was certainly lateral thinking for Felicity to propose watching the footage of her attack in order to find out what happened.Cash obviously wasn't keen on the idea, but Felicity clearly had the bit between her teeth, so supporting her was his only option.I wasn't expecting her to be unable to go through with it, but I guess that explains why she's going through with the meeting anyway.

It was pretty obvious from the recap showing Xander irritated by Kirby what his reason for hanging out at Salt was! He really must be lacking in a social life if his only alternative to going home is to do a free shift. At least Mackenzie proved a decent sounding board...for Felicity as well, actually.

Took them a long time to get there, and Leah really didn't do a good job of quizzing him, but the reason behind Alf's good mood came out in the end. I guess if it means he spends less time having a go at John then it's a plus: John has clearly learned the hard way when to stay out of his firing line.

Men do get raped too unfortunately. I'm glad though that Cash did bring Flick into line a little though when she said tell me about the others because, obviously, the other women would feel the way she does as in she doesn't want anyone to know, so why would they, kind of thing; I'm no police/legal expert (yes, I know the writers aren't either) but it's always come across to me both in fiction and reality that once something is evidence neither the victim or the preparator can get acess so I did wonder if that was originally part of the reason Cash said no in the first place, aside from trauma worries.

Of course there would be no way Cash could let her see the other women's video's that Jeremy took, but Felicity had  a perfect right  to see hers.  The picture he texted her was bad enough for her to take in so seeing the footage would have been really hard so good decision that she didn't watch it.  With 'regular' rapes a woman (or man) knows what is happening, they can see the person doing it, hear their voice if they speak, give some kind of description, any distinct smell they may have, aftershave, cigarette smoke for instance.  I hope, like here, TPTB took advice from people who do know what they are talking about with Felicity's case.

Poor Xander, and he's much too polite to tell Kirby what the real problem is, kind of Mac to say he could stay at hers if he needs to.  As I said John was lucky in a way he lived next door so it was more muted. Kirby can be tunnel visioned when she is working on her songs and excludes everyone and everything.  Rose can escape to the Farm House.

Alf's turning his hearing aids down when John is speaking could backfire on him, he can hardly say later he objected when he had agreed to something John said at the meeting.  Also a bit hurtful to John that Alf shuts him out so to speak.
