Yes Mama Mali is a force, when she was honking the horn it reminds me of what my Nan does whenever someone else wants my Mum's attention. ?

I felt for Mali when he was talking about his brother's drinking and how difficult it is to be around, you can care about someone but not like them very much; my father has always had a deep fondness for alcohol, not problem stage in the classic way, but when he drinks we try to avoid him by either in another room or go out because he either slobbers or gets angry and verbally vicious  , this is the first time I've ever said anything at all because, like Mali it's not about shame or anything but when you go to friends or you go to new places you kind of want somewhere that doesn't interact with what's at home.

I think, like he also said to his Mum, he didn't lie for dishonest reasons but I think when he first got back with Rose and also knowing how her occupation would be received he wanted to give both sides breathing space.

Poor Theo, it's hard something when you seem to be the only one who makes a mistake in public, even though you're not, that 'floor open up and swallow me feeling' rarely subsides, I think it's often made worse is this age of tech and social media because practically everything is captured forever.

It could be see from both sides as regards Luca - another name to add to the Hudson family members - and his encounters with the cops. Did he go out to cause problems with the cops or did they pick on him because of his previous dealings with them.  Victoria's hang up over Rose did get resolved quickly,  mainly I think because not because she's a cop but the fact Mali lied - or  rather didn't tell mum about Rose.  Mum, it appears, doesn't like anyone lying or keeping things from her.  Mali's emphatic statement he loved Rose swung it I think.  Victoria's invitation Rose meet the rest of the family seemed to confirm she'd accepted her, won't be an easy meeting with him when it comes to it.  There is another thing Mali hasn't mentioned - him not being able to operate his business - not his fault so no failure on his part - so not having  much money coming in.  A follow on on the name thing, Rose ringing her mum and asking why she was called Rose.  I'm guessing Rose calls her mum on a regular basis the way she spoke to her.

What has happened to the brash, out there Theo we first met when he rocked up in the bay?  He was never afraid of expressing himself, putting those vids up with Ryder, now he's gone all shy.  That was so sad when he was giving an interview to himself, he was putting himself across very well. Justin was very distracted getting caught up in the publicity  of Lyrik's launch, then talking about their next album, but um shouldn't he be talking to them first?   Leah seemed to just be drifting in and out, didn't turn up at her shift at the Diner as she wasn't well, when did that come from?

More signs of Alf's hearing not being too good, Marilyn having to 'sign' he owed her 50 cents.  Then Justin, having dismissed Maz's claims about John saying the same thing, saw for himself what what happening with him.  Now of course he's gone missing.  Marilyn's right it could be dangerous, say he was crossing the road and didn't hear a car come up on him, he'd blame them of course, driving while his hearing isn't good  is not good either.  Roo and maybe Martha would be the ones who would normally get through to him but at the moment Roo is hardly in a fit state and Martha has other things on her mind.

Well, after all those episodes of Kirby being a pain in the posterior, it's Theo's turn to be in need of going to sit in the corner and think about what he's done...which, to be fair to him, he did and he realised he was being unfair. An unfortunate confluence of events: Kirby receives a tempting offer on the very day Theo makes her feel undervalued, and Justin tells Theo to give Kirby space when she's sitting around waiting for some acknowledgement from the rest of the band. Some nice friendship scenes of her with Mackenzie and Xander. I get the feeling that whatever it was that caused Leah to be abruptly written out for a couple of weeks has flared up again, with her seemingly written out of an episode last week and only appearing at the Morgan house at the moment.

It's kind of ironic that Alf's being distant from Marilyn when she hasn't actually done anything wrong.Oh well, she probably deserves it for being snide to John.Irene handled Alf better than I expected, although I'm not sure why she expects him to be mature about this: Has she forgotten him running over young Pippa because he didn't take his eyesight problems seriously? I'm glad John made the point about being permanently in Alf's bad books!

Good mention about his vids with Ryder,  Justin must have read my mind.  But as Theo said that was  a bit of fun and he wasn't speaking to someone face to face.  This is serious for him and so cares about getting it wrong.  Theo did suddenly seem to get a tad paranoid about the way Kirby stood up/in for him at the launch, he didn't feel  that way then, he even thanked her and it didn't come across that way to me.  Justin, once he had stopped teasing him, listened and gave him good advice, sadly it was wrong timing to give the 'give Kirby some space'  advice.   Theo, once he heard Kirby's interview calmed down, again.  She had experience of doing the interviews as apparently neither Remi or Eden wanted to know and it's them  not just Theo, she likely would understand that, that haven't contacted her after the last one.   From what she was saying she appeared to do most of the work which could come across as big headed, but on the other hand it seems they as in Eden & Remi, maybe Bob too in his time,  take her for granted.   She was the only one to get a proper job to pay their rent and living costs.  Xander and Mac were really there for her and she got a good reception from the SALT crowd.  Be interesting to see how this interview with this hotshot producer guy goes.

At least three people are united in worrying about Alf.  Irene took the bull by the horns and rang him on the pretext of a problem with the bait shop so knows he's in one piece.  Maz got upset as she seemed to think he'd contacted Irene though and she didn't enlighten her.  Nice little chat between John and Irene about being lonely and him teasing her about the Tarot readings.  His comments about the why Alf treats and talks to him, he may shrug it off but it must hurt.

To be fair about Alf running young Pippa over, she was behind the car and was bending over do he couldn't have seen her.

?for you Foellfan.

Of course you can love someone but you don't have to like them or what they do.  Guess it doesn't matter if they are an aggressive, loud or boisterous drunk still an embarrassment.   Family and friends  understand and I suppose know the warning signs so decide when to leave.  Strangers it's another matter.

Entirely true, thanks. ?

It's Iluka, which means 'by the sea' ? (whereas Elandra means 'home by the sea')

Kirby might say she's just checking things out of curiosity, but this is a pretty big dive. I wondered if she might have second thoughts after Remi invited her to hang out and congratulated her on the interview, but instead she seems to be avoiding everyone so she doesn't feel guilty.I loved that Bree not only made a record but they actually called it a record. Yes, I'm old. I also loved Felicity's facial expressions at Kirby's "date" suddenly leaving, clearly thinking "Hang on, what does that mean?" She continues to be a lot more together than her supposedly more stable brother!

As Felicity said, Cash had the right idea but the wrong execution: A police scheme to help local businesses watch out for and prevent potential sexual assaults is a good idea, barging into someone's home insisting that they have to do what he says right now because he's the only one that can solve it is not a good idea.

? for that correct spelling Dan F, I wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of Mama Hudson.

I suppose you can't blame Kirby for keeping quite for the moment and good for Mac keeping  her secret.   We know what Flick can be like with hiding news especially  news like that.   Forrest was very convincing and could certainly talk the talk.  Of course there are downsides to being in a band/group with squabbles and arguments about music, arrangements, lyrics etc only natural, be very boring if everyone agreed on everything  all the time.  On  the plus side having others around can help, they can suggest different ways of playing things, you can go for a walk if you have  a tiff, come back and sort it out.  Being on her own will mean she can do entirely her own thing  and only herself to argue with, but no-one to get a second opinion on something and  it'll also be very lonely, she's been with Lyrik for a good while.  But I guess it must be like that for any member of any band out there in the real world.    Remi did congratulate Kirby on her interview but a bit off handedly as he was caught up in his present.   She did seem to have made a decision, then we see tonight she runs into Theo who apologises for being a jerk.

I loved ?Bree's present to Remi, he was absolutely overwhelmed.  A proper vinyl LP that had to be played on a proper record player, which he had to go hunting down, can't remember the last time I heard that plonk of a stylus being placed on a record and nothing sounds like that. Yes I'm old too, but it would have been very mysterious for anyone not old enough to even recognise what those items were. That was so thoughtful and wonderful of her, proves to me that they are the right couple.   Going off on a tandem a few years ago a  great niece and  great nephew of mine were 'introduced' to an old record player  and they were gob smacked by it.

Eden certainly loved hearing their music in a totally different  way.  Cash would have too if he'd been in the right mood. His and Eden's break didn't seem to have done him much good,  still brooding over what Jeremy did and what he wanted to do to him.   Eden's playing it well, being there for him, asking how he's going, but not pushing it.  Good that she asked Bree about it, without going into details, and if she was doing it right.

Flick does seem to be doing OK, even qualifying the old "I'm fine" line by adding  she's getting there when Eden asked. Of course she's going to have good and bad days, but Tane is there for her.  OK Jeremy is behind bars but there is still the trial to come and guess that won't be any time soon, they'll need to get all the evidence together, talk to his other victims, those willing to give evidence at his trial etc.   Cash on the other hand isn't OK.

His idea is a good one but just bursting in and announcing it like that as if he has been the only one who has thought of it was a bit OTT.  A tad insulting him calling Flick's anti spiking innovation at SALT idea amateur.   It does need co-ordinating of course it does, but it can't be done overnight. Spookily enough there was reports about that very subject on the news today and a new campaign about preventing it.  Not wanting to put a dampener on things but I don't thinks you'll ever stamp it out completely.
