The ending of Wednesday's episode did mislead us into thinking she'd done something other than just rev the engine,  though I'd have been tempted seeing that smug smirk on Jeremy's face.  Thankfully she didn't and called Tane who just happened to be with Cash.  I understand Cash's "why didn't you tell me" demands to Tane but Felicity begged him not to and it's not something you would want your big brother seeing if Jeremy had followed through his threats to do.   Felicity did have presence of mind to get his number plate so Cash when he got back could trace him to his address.   Then he sent that last text when he opened the bag and didn't find $20,000  in it. Surprised he hadn't done that when  he picked it up.  She did deceive both Cash & Tane but that can wait for now, who knows how any of us would react in that situation.  She did, it seemed, remember him from the Battle of The Bands gig, but only vaguely, just  a face among the crowd.  Ultra bad timing him being brought in just as Flick and Tane were going out.  He didn't flicker - no pun intended - when he saw her.

Are there different police laws/protocols in Yabbie Creek as surely Cash wouldn't normally be allowed anywhere near Jeremy?  True Rose was there but even so, Jeremy could, when he gets  himself a lawyer,  claim it was a biased interview as the cop doing it is the brother of the alleged victim.

The opening of that episode threw me  a bit with all that photography going on to promote Mali's business.  It does seem to be ages since he last saw the docs to see how he is going and when he can go back into the surf.  He must have told Xander what the procedures were and why they were in that order, or was Xander wandering off track.   You may think you'd remember what was next on the list, but you can forget and if it involves the sea and it could put your clients life at risk not good for the business, especially as it's not your business.

Alf was very distracted and I don't think it's just Roo's set back and he was back to his usual snappy/snidey self with John.  Mali asked him nicely if he could accept the order of watches when they came in and he agreed, then later denied being asked, thankfully John was there to reassure him he'd not imagined it.  We also saw him shouting at Martha saying he couldn't hear her on his mobile, well doh - use a landline then!  Unless there is a problem with his hearing and who would be brave enough to suggest that to him.  Not that there is anything to be ashamed of, I know he's older but loss of hearing  has nothing to do with age.

Not the best circumstances of Cash interviewing Jeremy even if Rose was there, would that be actually allowed?  But he did act professionally, even if we 'saw' the imagined ramming of Jeremy's head on the desk. Jeremy is a good looking bloke so why did he have to drug and rape women and he has quiet a history of it it seems.  Cash did drop the info that his latest victim was his sister.  That could go against him once Jeremy's lawyer gets there.  Of course Cash shouldn't blame himself for Jeremy's past crimes, they were going back eight years and weren't even in the bay.  I think I did say if Jeremy hadn't been charged with any crime he wouldn't be on any DNA database.  Rather foolish of him keeping all those photo's/films on file, unless he went back and looked at them from to time getting some odd kind of kick from them.

Definitely not the best idea he's had getting drunk while still in uniform.   Stress, anger and hurt that Flick felt she could tell him?  At least Mac rang Eden to tell her to come and get him.

I guess you mean Xander, Mac & Mali.?  Good thought that the board being for Kirby.    Xander & Mali got themselves sorted out.  Mali's kind of dropped himself in it posting those photos prompting his business, mama has found out.  He can't keep putting the meeting between Rose and her off.

As John tried to tell Alf nothing to be ashamed of or be embarrassed by if he has hearing problems but of  course it being John Alf  reacted in his usual way.  Could be something as trivial as a build up of wax.

or it could be

"There's nothin' wrong with me flamin' hearing, just tired of Palmer's voice, that's all!"

(Not a miles from what he's thinking)

Mali's mother was a bit of a hot and cold person in more ways than one. After being frosty towards just about everyone but especially Mali when she first turned up, she seems to relax and have a nice conversation.(I must admit, if someone asked me where my name came from, I wouldn't be able to come up with a better answer than "My mum just liked it, I guess." I'm not sure how much say my dad had in it...) And then the temperature dropped with Mali admitting Rose is a police officer, and even though the hostility seemed addressed more at him than her, it still feels rather unfair. It was nice to finally have it set down that Mali had six siblings after a lot of vague references! (I'm also glad that I have apparently been pronouncing Elandra's name right!)

Meanwhile, we have another police officer in a crisis of a different kind. Eden did well in the supportive girlfriend role, managing to be discreet about Xander's red alert, and talked Cash back from the edge.Again, there's a feeling that, despite Cash expecting her to fall apart, Felicity is handling this better than quite a few of the others involved!

It took Marilyn a while to drop the passive aggressive attitude and listen to John but she got there in the end.Alf, of course, is still grumbling about everyone.

True, though I wonder whether this is Cash's 'straw that broke the camel's back', he's had a lot to deal with over the years both here and pre-Bay and I wonder if he's always, of felt like, been expected to bottle all fears/sadnesses etc. up because he's both elder brother and policeman, depending on the situation.

Glad that’s pretty much the end of Felicity’s story I thought the guy made it very easy to catch him with the blackmail demands especially when messaging from his own phone But apparently he has managed to get away with it for awhile eight women I can understand getting away with it but this guy wasn’t exactly being careful and hiding he was basically telling people who and where he was

The story was ok until the blackmail then it just turned silly especially with Felicity not telling Cash

I think maybe they are ruining Alfs character he is kind of turning into what happened with Ziggy just there but doing nothing but moaning All his funny catchphrases have vanished

Mali did rather spring the "!t's meet mum" time on Rose, not giving her much time to worry about it. Wow Victoria was  a force to be reckoned with, you'd cross her at your peril!! She certainly rules the roost, I'm supposing  she is a widow and used to  keeping her brood in check. Rose did well with her cross examination even the bit about the  mini break up with Mali.  She did thaw and even told Rose to call her Vickie(y) which I guess is an indication of her accepting you.   It seems given names are very important to her and I would think to most Aborigine people.  Maybe a little tmi  as to how Mali and Elandra got their names but amusing, I'm guessing the rest of the children - hadn't Mali mentioned he was the youngest of six - have Aboriginal names that maybe reflect where they were conceived.  I suppose most of us don't think about why we're called what we are called unless mum or dad say it's after so and so or a special place or whatever.  Then the bombshell - did Elandra know(?) - Rose did look unsure of what to say but Mali bit the bullet which really peed Victoria off.  We know when  Mali first found out Rose was a cop he backed off because he said his family had had bad dealings with them because of being Aborigine but he got round that  realising Rose isn't like that.  if it is a race thing Rose would see his point of view being mixed race so would have had experience of racism herself even as a cop.   We did see Elandra and Rose talking about it so may explain why such  hostility.

Eden did brilliantly with Cash steering him out of SALT and getting him home in one piece, obviously not in the right frame of mind to talk she was right not to push him.  He wasn't that willing the next day but eventually he did.  Although some are saying Flick did wrong in not telling him and showing him the photo Jeremy took showing your husband is one thing but showing your brother is something else altogether, it'd be like showing it to your dad.  He said what we thought was going through his mind he so wanted to thump Jeremy but he didn't as he is a professional but of course his rage is natural, he's human and he wouldn't be the first cop to have had those feelings.  We do know one cop who did give into those feelings don't we? Knee jerk reaction to want to quit but again Eden talked him out of it and suggested they have a break.

Surprised at Maz dismissing John's concerns about Alf's loss of hearing so out of hand.  Had to change her mind though when he told her Mali had the same experience of Alf ignoring him, then she did too.  I think Alf knows he's not hearing as well as he used to but being the stubborn old goat he can be at times is blaming everyone else.   Thing is how do you get Alf listen to reason with it coming across as nagging?

It is getting very, very tiring Alf always calling John Palmer and not in a nice way, bloody aggressive most of the time - what is Alf's problem with him?    I know when we first saw John in the bay he wasn't a pleasant character, threw his weight about a lot, bullied people, one his own step son, was an abrasive business  man, then slowly had a personality transplant after meeting Gina and became the John we now know, bit of a duffer, but kind.  Is it the old John Alf still sees?

Some more back story on Mali and his family, filling out exactly why they don't get on with the police.Interestingly, although it started off presenting the Manta Ray police in a bad light, it seemed, as things went on, they more and more seemed to concede the police had a reason for being suspicious of their brother.Anyway, I'm glad no-one thought Rose had anything to apologise for and Victoria's accepted it.

While Theo is probably better off getting over it and moving on, Justin didn't exactly give him his full attention here, and now his self-esteem has taken another kicking.Has Leah decided Theo can look after himself, after having Andrew as a contrast?

A shame they didn't sic Leah on Alf because she's the closest thing to Sally he's got left as the trusted surrogate daughter: Roo's too close to him for him to take a lecture from her seriously, as fond as he is of Marilyn he still tends to treat her like a child (and she's happy to let him most of the time), and Irene's almost as likely to get his back up as John is.
