I wonder why Mali can’t use Dean’s list of casual surf lesson instructors and just can’t cover all of the sessions? It just seems odd he’s cancelling rather than arranging cover - surely financially it makes more sense to pay them to keep the business going rather than earn a bad reputation for cancelling.

That was pretty out there of TPTB showing that photo of Flick seeing as some people would be watching it in the afternoon and even early evening. They did have the G warning before it started though.   That was lovely seeing Tane and Flick so smoochy the morning after the night before.  He did get  a bit glingy though, taking her to work, wanting to hang around, until she finally ordered him to go to work.  Which it seemed she was right to as he seems to have got himself into a financial muddle.    Before all this happened with Felicity he was off taking Kahu home so has missed  a few weeks doing anything moneywise, keeping up with invoices, bank statements, other demands for money.   It did show how far Felicity has come because as soon as she saw it she went home and showed Tane the text message instead of keeping it to herself.   Her not wanting to involve Cash is not a good idea, we did see Cash looking very concerned when Tane was having  a melt down.   The perv, of course, isn't of sane mind, anyone 'normal' wouldn't be doing what he is doing knowing full well he could be traced, even if the phone is a burner.  Having said that, he may be  a nutter, but not stupid and he won't be 'seen' on any further photos.   

Ah yes the 'L' word Mali casually dropped into the conversation. Does he mean it the 'real' way or he that loved what she did for him?   Could have been seen as interfering  when Xander told Mali how puzzled/worried Rose was but he did explain  to her - sort of.   it was said she didn't say it back but she was thrown but then later maybe clicked she does love him.  I do like them as a couple though. 

Ok Irene, you could be pushing it now.  I get she is dying for Marilyn to ask if anything is going on with her and John so she can tell her the truth, but it's not ackling.  That fake  did rattle John.    I repeat, were John and Marilyn going together as a couple - as in his parents -  to Jett's wedding or separately.  I know it can be awkward if parents do break up/divorce but if they haven't got an new partner how does it work?

I think it was suggested he use Dean's list of casuals but he can't afford to pay them as he hasn't been going for long so hasn't earned enough himself yet.

I do have a great deal of sympathy for Felicity, since as she said, this is a disgusting thing to do to anyone: Not content with "assaulting" her, he's determined to stick the knife in afterwards.Still, it feels like she's doing exactly what's needed to drag this out.I could understand her just ignoring it at first, but paying up isn't a real solution.Tane's being sensible and suggesting calling the police, but also doesn't think he can go against her, which is understandable.She seems to be mainly concerned with not letting anyone, especially Cash, see the video, which is also understandable if a bit frustrating, since she's turning down the best chance of catching this person.I was initially bewildered when she said telling someone wouldn't make things better, but I can see from her perspective why she'd think that:She doesn't want to risk the video being released online, and even if the police catch her attacker before he can do that, they'll probably take it as evidence, meaning there's a good chance Cash would see it.But I don't like her taking it out on everyone.My main thought in the last scene was... where did that bike come from? I wouldn't have said anyone living there was a notable cyclist and it looked like a child/teenager's bike.

Whilst I don't think it's past time that Irene accepted this isn't going to go the way she wants (she was practically begging someone to ask her outright with that really awkward silence), I've got no sympathy for Marilyn, who might claims that it's not about jealousy but about her friends keeping things from her, but has been a pretty poor friend herself at times, including now.It's pretty much a case of who blinks first. Alf continued to see it all as rot to start with, only to abruptly change his mind when Mackenzie and Xander started quizzing him.

Felcitys tough girl reaction has me not really feeling sympathy for her she should just tell Cash about the blackmail like I said yesterday big mistake made by the her attacker approving the odds of getting caught now that he wants money I think this story would have suited someone like Bree better even if done like her much either haha In fact there aren’t many characters I like these days 

I would definitely have the person marrying Jett Heather though just too cause trouble for Marilyn won’t happen though haha

That is the one big downside with social media once whatever is out there it's out there forever, even if whoever put it up in the first place takes it down people have seen it and shared it.  It did answer Felicity's assumption that he could be bluffing, maybe he dropped the pic in to up the ante?  We all know, even if Flick hasn't grasped it yet, there is no way he's just going to leave it at only wanting a $1000.  I can see why she doesn't want Cash to know, he is her brother, but Rose would be very discreet, well as discreet as she could be, but of course it would be awkward keeping it from him seeing as they work in the same station.  Xander innocently dropped her in it by revealing to Cash Felicity went home after she got a text.  Tane has struggled with this and done his best to persuade Flick to tell Cash without pushing her too hard which would be counter productive.  She will tell Cash or Rose when she is ready.  As Cash said he knows his sister and knows when she is hiding something so Tane did well, if you want to see it like that, by looking Cash straight in the eye and lying to him. Where did those bikes come from, unless TPTB couldn't think of anything else Tane could throw across the garden. 

This account Felicity paid the money into, I'm guessing it's not his real account as that would be too easy to trace. If this perv has Felicity's number would he be able to find anything else about her, where she lived, worked?   I'm not that techno savvy in that respect. 

Although Maz isn't that bothered about Irene and John being an item they have been friends for yonks so you think, if it was true, Irene or John would have mentioned they had started to see each other as other than old friends.  I know Maz's recent history didn't put her in  a good light, but this is closer to home.   That'll be interesting, if it happens, the dinner party with Cash & Eden.    John isn't really into it so he could just blurt it out  it's not real.  Btw did Irene pay for those flowers herself,  Maz knows John's not into splashing out on big bouquets.

We needed some other lighter moments and along they came with Xander's potential customer's mum  dumping him because she was more interested in the instructor than the lessons which Mac found hilarious.  He had got himself organised with that spreadsheet. If he wasn't working for her  I definitely see them as an item, be too awkward as it is, staff will soon pick up on it, be accusations of favouritism etc.  Plus if they broke up, he'd have to quit. 

Good to hear mentions of Roo and her slow but sure recovery.  Was/has it been said if she can move her legs?

You'd think Remi would have tried to get in touch with Mercedes before the morning of the recording session, but I guess he had to wait until he was in the episode! Even then, it takes ages for Eden to point out the obvious that, if she's not answering her phone, one of them should go to the motel and see if she's there.Oh well, at least Remi found her eventually but it looks like he's got his priorities all wrong in keeping this from Bree.

So, the punchline to this Irene/John wind-up is for Alf to go into overprotective dad mode for a middle-aged child and decide that everything must be John's fault so he's going to go and bully him. John, of course, is simply the poor guy playing piggy-in-the-middle to Irene and Marilyn's childishness. Finally off to the wedding after what seems like an age and I really wish that Heather was waiting there to push Marilyn off a roof.

A shame, because Alf was actually quite good in the other storyline, helping Justin realise that he needs to let go and give Tegan a chance to succeed rather than writing her off straightaway.(I liked the namechecks of Justin's siblings too, and they even got them all this time!) Unfortunately, Cash then jumps in with an opinion that's clearly coloured by his having to take a step back with Felicity now she's got another man in her life, rather than remembering how he's been prepared to give his life up to look after her in the past.

It would have been nice if John and Irene little joke had actually became a thing for them both that yes they do really enjoy each other’s company and they start to really like each other I don’t why they have to stop just because of Alf and Marilyn

It has been very last minute anyone getting in touch with Mercedes.  Eden has been put in  a very tight spot, knowing what she knows but having to keep it quiet  from everyone else.    My thoughts about Remi not getting in touch  - or trying to - was he felt maybe he needed to give them some space after what had occurred after the last session.  Obviously he couldn't have followed her after she bolted, utterly the wrong time. But now they do need to talk about what  happened and why after all these years that they've known each other did she think it was the right time?  Can they resolve things for  the sake of the band? I know he's been a  not  to have twigged  she saw him as a potential lover, but he didn't, simples as that.  Did  when Mercedes remarked he was sitting in her motel room on her bed, and he leapt up and sat on the sofa.  Of course Bree is going to find out the worst possible way by overhearing  something. 

Alf has always seen Marilyn as  a surrogate daughter and dads are like that whatever the daughter's  age.  But as ever Alf has to be heavy handed because it's John or as he insists Palmer.  He let Irene off lightly in her part in it didn't he though? Yes - I said Irene bought those flowers herself and I guess the dinner party is off?   I know John was pushed into it but I feel he had got fed up with this wind up  and he  did apologise to Marilyn in public and formally ask her to be his plus one to their son's wedding.  Hope we see some photos. 

Then we see Alf's old wiseacre side with Justin.  Justin is on the biased side with Tegan over Andrew as he cares for him.  But Andrew's social worker who he, Tegan and Leah are seeing is looking at it professionally.  She'll be laying it on the line how it had/has been for Andrew, how helpful Leah & Justin were/are, the stability Andrew still needs.  Andrew is in one way old enough to choose but in the other way, emotionally still  very young.  Wise parting words from Alf that as long as Andrew knows if things don't work out with him and Tegan  he knows he can come back to him & Leah.  

Can't be easy for Cash letting go of the apron strings so to speak now Felicity has someone else in her life, a husband in fact, so doesn't need him so much, he must feel a bit lost.  Though having said that she did lean on him when she came clean about her attack/rape so he is still needed.

I guess Remi was as straight as he needed to be with Mercedes, twice, even if he did leave it until very late in the day! Of course, he's not been at all straight with Bree, which is going to cause problems.I did like Kirby's increasingly exasperated reaction to all the craziness going on around her.She and Theo seem to be settling into a kind of frenemies relationship.

Justin was unnecessarily rude to Tegan again, with Leah handling things a lot better: She'd miss Andrew as much as he would but she understands she needs to encourage the siblings' relationship. I don't think Justin put any undue pressure on Andrew though, he just made it clear he had options.

Yeah, that was kind of WTF/Illogical. Even for *this* Show! Had to roll my eyes.
