I'm glad Cash made the point that, as he told Justin in the previous episode, Theo broadcasting where Andrew is far and wide could just lead the cult to him: Good intentions but not the smartest move. Esther turned up pretty abruptly, I'm guessing she saw the new note to contact Yabbie Creek Police Station? Not a magic cure-all, however, with Andrew getting yet another shock to the system after struggling to adjust.

Remi wins a few points back by offering to pull out of the competition if Kirby's really against it, but I'm not sure that was ever really a possibility. The problem is Remi presented it to them as a fait accompli, having already made all the arrangements, so it was easier for them to go along with him than try and put everything back the way it was before. At least he says he won't do it again?

Tane's James Bond-style appearance at Kahu's luxury yacht would have had more of an impact if we hadn't already seen it in at least two promos, but it was a cool moment anyway.Kahu didn't really have anything new to say but looks like Tane's not going to let him wriggle out of this one.

RR1 is right actually, it was the next day on-screen before they realised Kahu had gone. There were a couple of nighttime scenes between him initially not showing up for drinks at Salt and then not showing up for work the next morning.

Fair enoughsky but I know it can be be confusing when we see it the next day but still the same day in Summer Bay land.

Call me thick but a random woman walks into the  cop shop and tells cop on duty - Cash in this case - as he and  Rose are the only cops on duty - and says that lad in the photo - Andrew  - is my son who was snatched 13 years ago and she is believed right away!? She could be anyone, a bereaved woman who lost her son the same time as Andrew was snatched or as CaptainHulk said a whacko who goes around claiming any lad Andrew's age as hers. But no DNA test requested,  if she is his mum she would have no objection to submitting to one, but a brief chat with her and she's being introduced to Andrew. Task Force not informed either it  appears.

He was having real problems with his learning to read, did the cult think it not necessary to teach the young ones as the end of the world was nigh anyway?  Leah was very patient but not  really her forte.  Then with  little warning he's introduced to mum, no wonder he freaked out.

Remi did make amends by apologising with some urging by Bree.  Kirby was more upset that Theo voted against her, Good Grief woman as Eden said  just because he's your boyfriend doesn't mean he has to agree with you on everything, it wasn't anything personal.  Shows he has his own mind and can think for himself.  Hope they reconcile.

That was a posh houseboat, not the ones I usually imagine when I hear that term.    I'm guessing the pilot of the launch had instructions to leave Tane there?  Bloody cheek Kahu calling the houseboat 'his' when it is Tane's or technically the gyms.   More truth came out then how mum was able to afford her backing Kahu, she's got nothing left and he can't be able to afford that much to send back to her.  Tane is right it should be him to tell her.  I can see why he doesn't want her to think of him as a failure but what if she finds out some other way, that would be more heart breaking for her.  Is she just a normal mum who wants the best for her children or one  who is an  imposing mum who expects a lot of her children?

Yeah Esther isn’t Andrews Mom she didn’t know who Ted was

Two therorys Ted is superTed and Andrew is spotty man

Or Andrew can see imaginative animals Ted and Buddy the dog

But no I guess Cash was too busy getting distracted by Eden go run a DNA test for Esther and Theo has alerted the cult through his online posts or Esther is another strange one she never mentioned his dad either I thought that would come up when meeting Andrew

Talking of the cult sounds like they have mistaken Marilyn for Andrew but I guess a company who sells acid for your face could be dangerous haha

To be fair, Cash did look at Esther's ID, although it's not entirely clear what it proved beyond her having the right first name.Leah and Justin seem convinced she's the genuine article and, aside from a slight caginess about keeping in touch, her not understanding the reference to Ted was the only real red flag: Her explanation that he had a lot of toys could be true, although it doesn't really fit Andrew's recollection that he couldn't sleep without him.Whether she's on the level or not, it feels like Andrew went with her for the wrong reasons, because Justin and Leah think he should.

Actually, it was a fairly oddly structured episode: Three storylines with no intersection at all and, aside from Justin and Andrew going to the beach and back, they didn't even move location until the closing scenes! Over in the Diner corner (don't they have homes to go to?), Alf, Marilyn and Roo have decided to get the word out about Stunning Organics.(Well, mainly Marilyn and Roo. Alf just kind of sat there sighing wearily.) Of course, much like Theo, they've learned the hard way that if you post stuff online, the wrong people might notice.

And in the houseboat corner, Tane and Kahu are still having the same conversation but Tane's obviously decided he's not going to be fobbed off this time.Accompanying him back to New Zealand is probably the smartest move.Like I said a short while back, Tane never really wanted to be the family patriarch, but now he is, he's taking it seriously.

I'd have been questioning its authenticity given it was clearly just a cheaply laminated bit of card, but I'm guessing that was a case of it being a bad prop rather than Cash being completely inept. ?

Though I do wonder why Bathurst (120 miles inland from Sydney) has the same postcode as Summer Bay in their universe ?

But an ID still wouldn't mean Esther is Andrew's mum, we don't know what she looked like 13 years ago.  The bit about her not knowing who Ted was did  ring ?? for me.  Either Archie had taken along him with Andrew and threw it away as it wasn't allowed in the cult or it was left where he was snatched at home.  If Ted had been left she most certainly wouldn't be so dismissive of it as it was the last thing Andrew was holding when she saw him and would still have him to give back to Andrew.  Definitely something Leah would do.   Come to think of it it  did look like the bottom of a slide.  Being thick here again but shouldn't the authorities know he's going,  true he is 17 so is old enough to say what he wants to do and no-one can force him to do anything he doesn't want to but in the eyes of the law he's still a minor.  He was overhearing what Leah was saying if it was VJ who had been snatched and was lucky enough to be reunited with him.  That was an awkward goodbye from Esher who you think would be very grateful to Leah & Justin for looking after her long lost son.  Shame Theo wasn't there, had he done his three episodes?  Joshua Hewson has played Andrew so well, not an easy part  for someone so young to take on in his first acting TV role.

Now don't be silly Red we wouldn't know the gossip if people in soaps stayed at home and talked about private things in places like the Diner    If it hadn't been the fact that Roo was the go between Maz & Tanya I would have thought she was working  for SO she was very aggressive and she was asking some odd questions.   No surprise Maz was getting flak with idiots, who think she is up herself there are people would disagree  just for the hell of it, gives them a purpose in life. But then there was that call.  Not sure why TPTB thought he/she needed a fake voice as Maz has never spoken to anyone at SO has she?  I suppose the idea was it was scary? so Maz and Roo would be freaked out.   Of course Maz and Roo would take it straight to the cops as it's a direct threat, but I'm not writing the script so who knows what they have planned.

Then there was Tane and Kahu gong round and round, but Tane stood his ground and finally convinced Kahu he had to tell his mum the truth in person.  Like he was just hand him  the money for the flight and trust him to get on it, he's gong with him.  Now all he's for to do is tell Felicity he's going to New Zealand, I did smile at Kahu's expression when he said that.   That won't be an easy conversation.
