John did well with intervening between Kahu and Tane, take  it outside - no don't even take it outside.

I loved that, John realised he gave them way to much leeway with take it outside so then changed it to no not even outside and then he was like no actually nowhere is good. He was like “I should not of said that” and if anyone here gets that reference 10 points to Gryffindor

Alf's episode count this week:Four. The only ones to manage three were Marilyn, Justin and Remi.

I think Kirby had every right to be angry with Remi, given that he made a huge decision that affected the whole band without any form of consultation.I don't know why she took it out on Theo though, and indeed much of the episode seemed to be about contriving ways to create conflict between them.I did wince at Theo deciding to advertise Andrew's presence online behind Justin's back.I know the police in Summer Bay can be pretty useless at times and doing research on the internet is what our amateur sleuths usually do, but it feels like the situation with the cult is too dangerous for Theo to be acting like an Enid Blyton protagonist.

Tane got some answers out of Kahu after a lot of pushing.Given Kahu's relationship with honesty, it's not clear to what degree we should take his confession at face value, but it does have a ring of truth and matches what we know.So it seems the initial arrangement with his mother was an honest one, he was just really bad at taking care of her investment. And again, no matter how many times Kahu's let him down, Tane decides to trust him at exactly the wrong moment...

Wow, Marilyn's a hard person to help. She makes her demands to Stunning Organics, they say "Okay, sure, we can do that" and then she decides that's not what she wants at all. Why not destroy the product herself if that's what she wants? Why not take the information they'd gathered to the press and authorities in the first place rather than trying to blackmail the company? Even the normally blindly supportive Alf looked fed up at her latest decision to make the storyline drag on still further.

Remi was morphing into Bob there by making the decision for all of them, especially as he doesn't need to do it now.  He only did it to help Bree who has made it plain it wouldn't help.  To be fair, sort of, we haven't had Eden's view on it, is she away again with Cash? You always take it out on the nearest one to you and I think she thought he was distracted on finding Andrew's mum  and not concentrating  on band stuff. But on the other hand she's been caught up in the Marilyn and the SO stuff.

Talking of which I do think Theo should run what he is doing by Justin or Leah - I know he's not a kid but another opinion wouldn't hurt. Searching for people/info isn't illegal

I'm supposing Roo is away at the homeless kitchen as she wasn't around. SO gave up far too easily and yes poor courier guy didn't deserve to get it in the neck but seeing what had happened to the other jars/bottles I can see why Maz was wary about them just being taken off to who knows where. Maz wouldn't be able to dispose of them in a responsible way.

I have read what is going to be happening  ???  which makes sense of why things are playing out the way they are even if it doesn't seem logical or make sense at the moment.  TOTB do write it like this for a reason and they plan the storylines  for months even years before we see them.

Kahu could only hide the fact he hadn't registered his business for so long, then Tane spoke to his Aunty, Kahu's mum and found out the origins of the trawler idea - $50k that was a lot of dosh.  I believed Kahu when he said he bought a trawler but seems he was proper stitched up and got sold a pup.  I can see why he's lying to his mum, maybe he has other business ideas and they've gone pear shaped so didn't want her to think he's let her down again and he is sending  money to her even if it isn't from bringing the little fishes in.   There are those out there who know what I am referring to.??    Had an inkling when Kahu wanted to speak to mum alone there was something fishy -  SO SORRY - couldn't resist.  As we saw he's now done a runner  and the bank rang Tane about these suspicious transactions.  Then, how he found him we don't know, but Tane tracked down Kahu on this boat in this bay.  I'm no nautical expert but that didn't look look like no trawler.

I initially thought Leah wanted Ava out of the way so she could have Justin all to herself but the way Leah is prepared to go above and beyond with Andrew, I'm now wondering if it's because she simply has a preference for looking out for males.  Obliviously VJ, but she gave Hunter another shot after her burned her house down.  Theo was problematic but she put pressure on Justin to take him in and let's not forget she has three brothers.

Not really too keen on seeing Mackenzie like this given they already done it after she lost the baby.  The problem is the character is pretty isolated and as I mentioned before, especially given Dean is no longer in the Bay so I struggle to understand why she is still around.  I suppose they do have to give her some storyline.

I just want Kahu gone.  Don't find anything remotely interesting about him and often find him slightly annoying.

I was shaking my head at Marilyn, especially when even Alf didn't agree with her stance.

Okay, this is getting silly now. I rolled my eyes when Felicity told Tane not to phone Kahu after he didn't turn up to meet them, having apparently decided to trust him today, but then we don't see them again until the next day, so apparently Kahu not only didn't meet them but was gone all night, and Tane didn't twig that he'd skipped town until he didn't turn up for work the next day! Talk about slow on the uptake...

I was even more bewildered at Kirby being treated like the bad guy here.Okay, Remi's backed off from being Bob 2.0 for the moment, but it really did feel like Eden sided him because he's her BFF, not because he's right.Everything Kirby said was absolutely right:Remi's lost them money, let the venues who booked them down, let the fans who were planning to go see them down, just for the possibility of winning a big cash prize. And everyone else has gone along with it out of misplaced loyalty or not thinking things through properly and getting carried away by the glamour. The only time I thought Kirby was out of line was in expecting Theo to automatically side with her because they're going out. And Theo was a jerk to her for most of the episode anyway, ditching her just to say a couple of words to Justin and then rudely ignoring her when she came round because he's too busy playing boy detective. At least he showed what he'd found to Cash. After he wimped out of telling Justin, I was expecting him to carry on trying to solve everything on his own.

I know we 'saw' it the next day but don't forget in Summer Bay land it was the same day.  Could Flick have been at work when Tane left Kahu, supposedly talking to his mum, to go to the gym?  It would explain her defending Kahu to Tane when she was so anti him when he first arrived. OK for relatives to knock someone in the family but an outsider, even an ln-law, doing it and then they close ranks.  She convinced Tane perhaps Kahu wanted time by himself.  Then they found out he'd not turned up at the gym, then that phone call which is when Tane went back home and found he'd done a runner.  What I want to know is how Tane found him, did that launch have GPS on it?

Then the kerfuffle with the band. Oh and yeh  Justin is doing his counselling which was why he had to dash off  when Kirby wanted his say on the whole band thing as manager.   Thing is he's out of the loop at the moment so not really in  a position to give an  opinion. I did feel for Cash who just wanted a good sleep but got rudely awakened. Justin, we know, can get impatient, but the Task Force looking into Vita Nova know what they are doing. Remi did make a Bob decision about cancelling the gigs.  They haven't a clue how good this/these other band (s) are.  Great if they win, but keep cancelling their gigs could lose them venues due to being unreliable  and more importantly fans.  They were exempted when they had to when Remi hand was damaged and Eden was in a coma but it would like they just can't be bothered.    Kirby did overreact about Theo voting with the others, it wasn't a matter of him not taking her side, he just saw things differently, that is allowed in relationships.   He was very distracted throughout due to him wanting to know if anyone had come up on his media page with news of Andrew.    I'm wondering how wise this is because anyone could be looking in.

RR1 is right actually, it was the next day on-screen before they realised Kahu had gone. There were a couple of nighttime scenes between him initially not showing up for drinks at Salt and then not showing up for work the next morning.

Kahu is essentially just a freeloader and I've found Tane getting annoyed with him quite amusing.

What I've also found amusing is that Kirby was expecting everyone to have her back re Remi's unilateral decisions and they agreed with him anyway.  Objectively, I think she's more in the right as there is no guarantee they will even win this competition whereas the gigs they have are a cert.  Presumably, the money can't be that great.  This situation demonstrates exactly why the band needs management, although Justin can't/doesn't want do anything at the moment and it's his own fault for not controlling his temper.
