Alf's episode count this week:Three.

Felicity has a tendency to shoot her mouth off at times but can anyone really say she's wrong about Kahu? For all his wounded puppy act, she seems to be spot-on about his being willing to take advantage of Tane to get what he wants.I'm glad that she made it clear she wasn't apologising, just acknowledging that they have to try and get on. To be honest, I'm not seeing the problem with Mackenzie and Kahu: Sure, she's had some shocks lately, but they're both consenting adults and Mackenzie seems together enough to be making her own decisions.

It's becoming increasingly clear why they didn't give Marilyn storylines for so long: If she has anything more than her mandatory lines, it just underlines what an awful person she is, manipulating her friends and making unnecessarily catty comments about John. The show makes a pretty poor attempt to disguise it by having Marilyn acknowledge she's terrible and then giving Kirby a ridiculous line like "You're literally the kindest person I know." (Yes, Kirby said that about the woman who made her life a misery for weeks on one of her power trips.I'd hate to meet the second kindest person she knows.)Their video wasn't that bad an idea, but they maybe should have stuck to the facts instead of making sweeping statements and personal comments.

Remi's idea to focus on the album until Bree can handle him going away isn't entirely daft, but he doesn't seem to have thought enough about the financial side of it.Theo mentions that Justin's still doing the community service and counselling when we're not looking.I doubt he's doing community service every day.I think I worked out that two eight-hour sessions a week would get him through the 500 hours in about seven months.

It doesn't seem to occur to Justin and Leah that it's possible Andrew maybe autistic which could explain his difficulty in communicating

Well, he had a psychological assessment at the hospital which determined he had no "intellectual disability", so I imagine that sort of thing has already been ruled out.

Well, at least Alf and Marilyn were back. Not that I approve of her lying to Alf and Roo, especially after the Heather saga, but at least she makes a halfway interesting watch. Definitely not sure of the wisdom of posting that video, though. If there's evidence that other people had bad reactions to the products (which I think was said a few episodes ago but I missed the details?) then wouldn't it be better to collate all that info into a dossier, show it to the company and then privately threaten to go to trading standards or whatever the Aussie equivalent is? That way they would surely agree to cancel Marilyn's contract. Or even better, just go to trading standards and if it's really that bad, the company will be forced to fold.

I don't object to the Mackenzie/Kahu hookup on principle but, straight after Gabe, it makes the former story feel even more pointless than it already did.

Why is it only women who get called bikes!?  Plenty of guys in the bay who fall into that category, as they get ridden enough times.

Kneejerk  reaction on Mac's part or rebound, Kahu is a new guy who doesn't know her history, but I did spot Mali watching her and Kahu, would he get involved and warn Kahu off or have a word with Tane.  Kahu did try and interest Mac into his scheme who suggested he put a business plan together which he hadn't seemed to have thought of before. Even Mali had one of those but then he had his board shop back in his home town. Tane had left him in charge while he, Tane, was in Yabby Creek, so what was Kahu in charge of, he can't train anyone?

Mac, let's be fair, can easily go off the rails when she's had a big upset.  But Flick, Tane and Maii shouldn't crowd her as she'll be announcing that well known phrase/lie "I'm fine" and be pushing them away.

Why is Felicity Tane's millstone, they are a couple and married  or not they need to talk about things that could affect their finances.  She's being upfront with Kahu that although she doesn't entirely trust him she's willing  for him to be around as long as he doesn't rip Tane off.

Marilyn, as far as I can see, isn't manipulating anyone into anything, she didn't even want Kirby involved.  I'm not up on defamation law but isn't it down to who is defamed being able to prove it is defamation?  There was a brief mention of someone else having an allergic reaction when Roo did a bit of digging.  Stunning Organics kept it well hid though. Maybe now this  video has gone out, before it gets shut down, others will come forward?

My thoughts exactly Red about Remi not going on tour because of what it does to Bree, he hasn't thought it though, it won't do her any good in the long term, she will have to face him being away at some time and if she knew what he is thinking she certainly wouldn't want him to stop going on tour.   She is seeing a counsellor about it.  Lyrik have been together sometime don't forget so who knows how many songs they have in their back catalogue, they  can always do covers too.

Tane/Felicity millstone; I wasn't purely commenting on this storyline alone, I was referring to the whole ethos of them really, when Tane came in he was cheeky and fun, yes the loss of family members does change that, however to lose them, but it seems his only basis in the life now is to prop Felicity up constantly, hence the millstone comparison, it's all 'Me. me, me, me, me,", though it hasn't been any different throughout their 'relationship'; the marriage to me came across as her way of saying this is the only compromise I make in life for you everything else has to be my way or not at all.

I don't Kahu is essentially devious per se but clearly a bit of a slacker, a dreamers mind but no real brains i.e. lights are on etc. and $1500 is alot of money to just give away without thought; his thing with Mac yes harmless but, a bit like Bree, I think Mac should steer clear of any encounters no matter how brief for a good while.

I know this sounds a bit 'hippy clap-trap' but I think both women need to find love in themselves right now, learn to live and love themselves without the need of male validation and maybe later can be good partners to their people because they know themselves better.

I think a few women characters are needy types at the moment. Kirby seems the most level headed of them all, but Flick, Marilyn, Bree (whenever I hear that name I think runny cheese) and Eden seem to need reassurance on a regular basis.

Kahu is all talk no shirt at the moment. Will the bay work its magic on him and turn him into an upright character as it usually does?

Mac comes across as quite desperate and tarty really Kahu seemed to lose interest when he found out Mac isn’t doing well in business or her car is owned by the bank

I thought Johns juice bar sign was going to explode maybe I was just hoping for something to happen

Hopefully Andrew is back tomorrow because today was pretty boring

I'd happily launch Lyrik into space and send them to a planet where there is no music. Am I alone in hating them?

Not hate but don't like at all.  I've said before that I don't like them as individuals or collectively.

More Eden in Cash in bed together scenes - Wonderful.

The difference with Bree when Remi was away and when he came back is one of the reasons why I don't want them together.

I'm on Felicity's side regarding Kahu.  Tane does seem to have rewarded bad behaviour and I'm glad Felicity's called Kahu out regarding it.  When I saw the preview with Mackenzie defending him, I immediately thought it's because she fancies him but she did make valid point - I just don't like the guy.

I don't think Tane could have stayed as the character who, frankly, was more deserving of the label "town bike" than Mackenzie is. Felicity's grounded him, and him her, and they've both become more responsible as a result.I doubt Tane ever wanted to be the family patriarch, but it's how he's ended up.I don't think it's fair to suggest Felicity only cares about herself. She mainly seemed to be motivated by concern for Mackenzie here, although I do wonder how much of it was coloured by her mistrust of Kahu and whether she'd have felt the same if Mackenzie had hooked up with Mali or Xander. Then again, Tane and Mali were concerned as well.Kahu's later behaviour suggests he wasn't so much looking for a bit of fun as for his next mark, with him losing interest on learning Mackenzie wasn't as well off as he thought.Given that he's already tried tapping Felicity money for once, I wonder if he'll be brave enough to try again.

I'm not sure what it says about the way some locations have fallen into disuse that Kirby's been a main character for about nine months and she didn't know where Irene lived. She remains the only person Marilyn's willing to be honest with.I appreciate Kirby's gung-ho "Everything we've said is the truth" attitude, but maybe she should get a lawyer to look over the video to be sure that there actually isn't anything defamatory in it? (It might have been an idea to do that before posting it, but hindsight's a wonderful thing.) Still, at least she has something approaching a good idea on how to tackle it.

When that sign first went out, I was fully expecting John's jiggling to result in all the power in the surf club going off, but then Tane took over, so I guess it was just a way of keeping him and Felicity around a bit longer.I'm glad that, teething issues aside, John's revamp seems to have gone okay and is actually quite stylish.

I think Tane was ready to give up the bachelor lifestyle before he met Felicity.  If it wasn't for Ziggy cheating on him and getting back together with Dean, he probably would have tried to get hitched to her.

Seems as though the Felicity/Mackenzie relationship is a constant state of one of them in a dark place, whilst the other has to help sort them out.

Kahu did come across slightly better than in the preview as he seemed to back off Mackenzie because he genuinely accepted what he was told about Gabe and Ari, not because he was just using her (And, she clearly wanted the casual sex as much as he did).  I will say that I didn't like the way Kahu enquired about Mackenzie and Felicity's finances as it seemed opportunistic.

I actually quite liked John in that episode and his excitement about the Juice Bar which does look good BTW.
