Alf's episode count this week:Three. Only other characters to manage three were Irene, Marilyn, Justin and Remi.

Alf to the rescue? Time will tell, I guess. It was perhaps a bit extreme for Justin to be acting as though he might be gone forever and won't be allowed visitors, but I guess a bit of melodrama was required. I like that he continues to not blame Theo for anything and was pleased that he at least spoke to Ava on the phone, since I wasn't expecting her to get acknowledged at all.

Nothing really caught my attention with Remi and Bree, except that Bree's reasons for not wanting to hang out with Eden seem entirely personal and Remi might be about to find out what it's like to have a jealous partner himself. I spent most of last year ranting about Marilyn every time she appeared so I can't be bothered to do it now.

I think it would be good story wise for Justin to go to prison in real life I think he would especially without Ava being there to tell her side of the story

I always find it cheesy with these random crowd’s dancing around as Remi plays guitar

Also I think Marilyn would see more beauty stuff if she wasn’t trying to sell it in the diner where people are eating seems the wrong location totally

Guess you raved yourself out. Though the Stupid storyline she got didn't help.

"I like Eden but she has a lot of opinions about me" - Classic case of ignoring everything prior to the ‘but’.  I personally think Bree is too good for Remi and I do question whether, if she hadn't been with Jacob, they would have gotten together in the first place.  To me always felt Remi was a form of escape.

Leah is understandably upset.  She got rid of Ava, thinking she had Justin all to herself and now she’s facing the realisation of actually losing him.

Alf is one of the most respected men in the bay so would be the go to guy if someone needed a character reference.  He did say he may have had his differences with Justin in the past, but can't be many people who can hand on heart say they haven't had  a falling out with someone else in the bay.  John and Alf for one many times.  Was Alf one of the pitchfork carriers when it came out about who the Morgan's really were?   Is David really Justin's lawyer, as he's  a proper doom merchant, no surprise Justin is thinking the worst.

I suppose Ava could have handed in a written statement?

The way Justin was speaking  on Friday made it sound like he was going down for life or at worst heading for the electric chair/noose.   I'm supposing Leah and Justin slept in as Mali was on the beach and it looked later in the morning so not that early as he thought when he got the call saying the verdict was in.

Loved how Theo was with Leah and she tried to say everything was OK and he said he wasn't  a child so could tell him how she really was feeling.   Where does this getting 'rid off' Ava theory come from, Justin wanted her to go home. ?

I don't think Bree is jealous of the attention Remi gets from his female fans. envious maybe, he was his usual flirty self that is what drew her to him in the first place after all, he did keep his guitar between him the ladies he was dancing with.    I'm obviously in the minority  by liking Bree and Remi together.

Maz is taking advantage of Irene not being there to set up her stall to flog her beauty stuff and brushing off Kirby's concern.   Kirby was brave volunteering to be the guinea pig, did come across as believable that it did feel good on her skin.  Not as if Marilyn is a novice  at selling beauty products.  Wouldn't a reputable company sent along sample bottles as free samples for potential customers to try out first??

So, Justin basically beats the spread (though obv he would with the doom Platter laid on).

Guess Sheriff Flames still carries some clout with his character reference.

I can't help but feel like someone is gonna try to provoke Justin while on bond and the next thing he's in a Dark Green singlet breaking rocks in the sun.

No need for Anaesthetic, The good Doc will put you to sleep when she speaks.

Also, Not sure what to make of Cousin It just yet... Seems Genuine in wanting to work but seems like he could be annoying. .  50/50

The end to Justin story is hardly worth mentioning all that build up and it ends like a dead kipper crap ending

Tane and his cousins song was better than anything Lyric have done But when they started singing I thought not more singers turning into the X factor this show is

So...yeah. We get the usual trope of "Character spends ages worrying about going to jail and then doesn't". The fact the judge's pronouncement is heard over a shot of Justin leaving court didn't help.I don't think he could have complained if he'd gone to jail, but I don't really mind that he didn't, so long as this really does take this opportunity to have a look at himself and change his ways.I'm pleased he spoke to Ava but I'm guessing the conversation didn't include the words "Turns out sending you away was very premature and unnecessary so you can come back if you like."

Enter Cousin Kahu then. He seems likable enough so far, if a bit cheesy.Felicity's discomfort with his presence seems to mostly be down to wishing she had Tane all to herself, which is a bit unlikely given how many people come through that house! To give her what's due, she hasn't actually said anything and seems willing to stand back and let Tane enjoy having family around.(I'm still trying to get my head around being told that's one of the guys from Power Rangers Ninja Steel: I can see it facially, especially in the promo when his hair's tied back, but I thought he looked quite tall in that, yet Tane towers over him and Felicity's the same height. Mind you, having double-checked, all the guys, and one of the girls, in that series look about the same height as him, so I guess I misremembered.)

Bree's angsty face-pulling turns out to be down to the lack of intimacy between her and Remi...but by the end of the episode, they're in bed together, because characters rarely stay celibate for long on this show. Also, kind of feels like she has told Remi she loves him before, even if it was different context.(Wasn't that what the note Jacob caught her writing was about?)Meanwhile, Rose could be storing up a whole heap of trouble by keeping things from Xander.

Justin was I thought, was being overbearing again, telling Theo he didn't want him there so see him go down, OK fair enough with Ava but Theo is an adult.  I've no idea of what the max sentence is for GBH in Aus and allowing for the fact Justin admitted what he did and I suppose he expressed regret would be in his favour, but it would hardly been life would it?  What was that first condition laid down, intensive ??, the judge, I'm guessing, took on board his treatment of Conor, previous anger issues he has had so that is why he's got to go to Anger Management Counselling.  I, also guess, the 50 hours of Community Service has to be completed in a certain time?   I may be way out here, but could his anger issues be connected to what he and his family went through when their parents were murdered by The Syndicate?

Kahu is a real live wire isn't he? I'm not sure I could hack him being so up all the time, it'd wear me out.  I'm guessing, yet again, that Tane and Felicity are alone at the Parata's hence the slight disappoint at Kahu landing himself on them and that Cash is staying at Eden's?  Nice to get  a brief mention of Nik.  Flick did wince a bit when Tane said Kahu used to just rock up at his mum and dads place without warning and just stay.  It did cross my mind that  when he and Tane were playing and singing should Lyrik need new band members they wouldn't have far to look.  Then I found out Jordi Webber had been in boy band Titanium.  Great he's offered to help Tane at the gym, only problem is he's not qualified so a no-no there.  Willow wasn't qualified when she took the job as trainer, luckily nothing bad happened.  Tane qualified so he could help when Mia took over the gym.

Finally we found out why Bree was so reluctant to be intimate with  Remi, her heart and body were ready, it was her mind stopping her, memories of Jacob and what he did, it's good she has Rose to talk to.   He was so good, letting her take her time with no pressure, but as it turned out she led him into the bedroom, shouldn't he have locked the outside doors though so they weren't interrupted.
