Booooooooriiiing Ep alert, today. ⚠️???

Just a heads up.

I suppose they needed a breather after 3 days of drama but it just felt 2x as long.

Yeah I can say that I don’t care about any of them today but I wonder what Tane had in his box?

Leah absolutely abandoned Justin to deal with Ava on his own.She packed her bags and walked out, despite him asking her not to and telling her he needed her help. And he was right, not that Leah will do anything other than lecture him for not handling it right.

Well, I seem to be in the minority because I loved a lot of that episode and didn't find it boring at all.Felicity is back to being a fun and adorable force of nature, which is a welcome change from the constant moping of recent weeks.Wanting to just turn up and get married is very her and I appreciated the little moment of her practising her Maori vows: It had begun to look like Tane would never hear them. And I also appreciate Cash having a word with Tane about not just getting swept along in Felicity's plans. I'm glad they confirmed that the marriage license was still valid, which seems reasonable.

As it turns out, Remi didn't really voice an opinion: No sooner had Bree told him she might be a father, then she told him he wasn't going to be, and he just accepted it and supported her.I think that's the first time the hole Jacob was digging has been explicitly referred to as a grave.I hope Remi does make it to the wedding reception though: We aren't even seeing all of Lyrik at Lyrik gigs now!

That said, while I accept that all three members of that household are in different storylines at the moment(albeit with some crossover, like today), I think I need to point out that they all involve other households.Kirby's in a storyline with Justin, Leah and Theo and is arguably the least prominent character in it, certainly less involved than Justin and Theo.Remi's in a storyline with Bree, which brings in Rose and Xander. And Eden is basically floating on the edge of a storyline centred on Tane and Felicity along with Cash.

I think we'll to agree to disagree about Leah's decision to leave Justin and Ava to it.

You're not in the minority Red, I didn't find that episode boring either.   Yes Flick was totally OTT but fun at the same time, I loved her knocking on Eden and Cash's bedroom door to get them to open up.  Their pathetic umming and arring about the plans they had(n't)  sorted for the wedding was unnecessary as Flick & Tane had news of their own - it's tomorrow!!!!  All they had to do was to turn up as their witnesses and join them at SALT for the  after  Wedding  do.  Took a lot of pressure of them. Was the invite to everyone else just say it was a party without revealing what  the  occasion was?  That was a lovely touch her refreshing the vows she was due to make last time, I imagine it was Nik she was talking to, hope Tane will come across as suitably impressed/surprised when she says them at the Wedding.  We got a glimpse of the ceremony in the trailer, it did look lovely, maybe Maori?   Hope they managed to track Theo and Kirby down so they can come.

Is that a wise idea about closing SALT down so they can have  have their Wedding  party? But then we are talking about Flick.??

Bree did tell Remi the baby may be his or it may be Jacob's she had no way of knowing, she even apologised for sleeping with Jacob which  he said she had no choice about. A couple more people have found out about Bree is pregnant  - Eden and Xander.  Xander was  very understanding and how she felt about the whole Jacob thing, he was there when Jacob's body was found in that open grave.  As Remi was telling Eden the logical part of Bree's brain knows the abortion is the right thing to do but it's the other part which she has no control over.   There must be a little bit of Remi wondering how he feels about Bree aborting his possible child, will there be a chance he could be a dad later down the line or was that his last chance.

They do all seem to be blending in with other folks storylines, not that hugely just casually as happens in real life.  Eden, Remi and Kirby  are neighbours of the Parata's and Justin, Leah and Theo after all.  Kirby is friends with Rose so sees Xander - maybe Bree - if she visits the Diner flat.

Wedding pics for those that haven't seen them, plus the translation of Flick's te reo Māori vows:

The actor playing the celebrant is someone we've seen before by the way, though you'd probably have a job recognising him from his previous character (answer in the spoiler tag below):

Spoiler

He played Alistair, the guy at the gallery where Bella and Emmett had their exhibition in the city

Justin, Leah and Theo aren't neighbours to Lyrik and the Paratas, the other house you're thinking of on Saxon Avenue is John's ?

I think Mac was probably the most notable absence from the wedding, I’m surprised there wasn’t at least some reference to her at Salt.

Given the clearly low budget wedding this time I couldn’t help wondering where at the Caravan Park it was filmed.

Mackenzie's out of town at the moment, as we saw last week and as was mentioned on Wednesday.

Well, after a couple of big events centring on couples that I was indifferent to or actively disliked, I absolutely loved that we finally got to see Tane and Felicity get married, and in the show's 8000th episode no less! Yes, it was all very low budget, albeit with a bunch of special performers there (I think that's the correct turn), but it was also very them, embracing Felicity's spontaneity and Tane's culture, and I actually teared up at least a couple of times at how moving it all was. (Can we please have a happy time for them now then? I don't mind drama, just so long as they get through it together!) And yes, Tane got to hear Felicity's Maori vows, slam dunk!

And while I appreciate him going and supporting Bree, I love that I got my wish and Remi got to join his bandmates at the reception: I know Lyrik are a bit marmite, but for me they definitely added to it! Those photos...well, there was at least a couple of characters there I'd like to have forgotten, but you've got to take the rough with the smooth!

Before a bit of a shock twist where it turns out Cash may have accidentally got engaged to Eden! I can't quite decide whether the reluctance to mention Jasmine by name was apt or not: Eden never met her but must have heard of her.

Well, Friday's was a nice counterpoint to the Mon-Wed rollercoaster ride and Thurssday's borefest.

Brownie points for capturing mood (seems like work went in) Nice without oversentinmentality or basking in nostalgia.

The cliffhanger scene would have had more shock if I had skipped out after the preview from the prev but lol anyway.  Cash's "WTFHID?" face?

I enjoyed the wedding ceremony and quite liked the photos Tane displayed at Salt with his family.  There's no doubt in my mind Felicity loves Tane and she's obviously grown to the idea of getting married after being against it before but I just don't see the rush and felt they could have just continued cohabiting for a little while longer.  The more concerning thing is that she previously expressed no desire to have kids and given that Tane has lost 2 of his brothers, his nephew has moved away and his family are in New Zealand, the next step for him is to start a family, so you would think it's going to be a big problem at some point.

I'm sick already of the writers shoving Cash and Eden down our throats.

I'm glad Bree went through with the termination and actually think she's had a lucky escape.  I don't think her and Remi are suited so at least there is a she isn't tied to him (for now at least).  The fact that Remi offered no resistance whatsoever suggests he knows he isn't ready for fatherhood anyway.

You weren't the only one ? up Red when Tane and Felicity walked down the aisle and took their vows,  it was simple but so beautiful.  I loved her dress btw, simple again but elegant.   Nice touch when Tane and Cash shared the hongi. I read the vows and they said so much and were very Felicity. The giving of the korowai was another lovely moment.  Was not Mac's photo up with the others along with Gary's, Nik, Bella and others who couldn't, for what ever reason, be there? So Flick going to the balcony and inviting everyone to the after wedding party.    Maz had made a cake so why wasn't she, Irene and John invited albeit belatedly?   I know it's very trivial but I'm guessing Tane and Flick will be making it official as in signing a register? Though, having said that we never see the signing of a register in any soap marriage. Is it not allowed for any reason?

Um Tane said he & Flick were going to NZ for a week for a honeymoon so who is going to be running SALT?   It was good to see Remi turn up and I'm a Marmite lover.

I guess Bree told Rose off screen that Remi would be going with her so she didn't have to.  Was it me or did this clinic she attended look like it was at NDH? If so it would, to me, have been very awkward if it was seeing the procedure she was going to have.  Remi was so supportive and going against the tide I'm for Bree and Remi being a couple.   I don't think at present Bree is in the right mid frame to have a child, not just because  she was effectively raped by Jacob but all that had gone on before.

Relax Slade, be another couple H&A will be shoving down our throats soon.

I noticed the 'person who's name mustn't be mentioned' aside from Felicity.  I get Eden thought it may be funny letting Cash think he proposed, but would he really give his new love the engagement ring he was going to give  ??

Going back to the tense stuff next week apparently with Xander and his paramedic buddy Jamie.
