I'm so glad Justin really took Ava in hand and showed her the true consequences of her silliness and temper tantrums; some would say too heavy-handed, too scary but it needed to be done as, like I said in a previous post, she says she's a grown up but pouts and stamps her feet when she doesn't get her way, (mind you I know two adults who practically do this! ?) but being an adult means taking the punishment and owning your part in it and sadly not everything gets fixed with just 'sorry'. Both RR1 and CapHulk make a point too as I said before because 'all boys bad', 'all girls good' attitude of society Ava could've lied and gotten away with it, so either way one guy was doomed either Conor or Justin.

On a different note. 'Felicity: (to Tane) Smart and sexy.'

My answer: Not that smart; he's putting his foot in the same bear trap with her again!

Bree & Remi - I'm glad Bree's made her decision but I don't think she should've told Remi at all because it's gives him the opportunity to get an opinion and option to influence and I think an abortion is a decision for the woman (I meant that as general women btw!), it's her body and life that will be mainly affected.

It feels like we have three Lyrik centric stories at the moment and it’s becoming a bit much… there really needs to be more balance amongst the households.

As soon as Remi and Bree are in a episode I lose interest really

I don’t think Leah is right to be moody with Justin she left him to deal with Ava alone if she was around she could have gotten him to calm down before hitting that guy and was Ava really missing I say this because she was on the beach haha

And since they're busy appearing in scenes connected to those stories, when it does come to band stuff that should involve them all, one or two will usually be missing as they've used up their contracted eps (Remi's gone up the coast, Theo & Kirby aren't answering their phones, Eden & Cash are trying to beat Tane & Flick's coitus record...yada yada ?).

Well I'm glad Ava didn't leave like she was planning to and she and Justin were able to reconcile.  I was a bit worried it was another storyline with a child that resented not growing up with their parent and was doing crazy stuff.  It did feel a bit of a cop out, Justin taking Ava to the police station to get Rose to talk to her and then she's suddenly sorry for everything, ready to apologise to Theo, Kirby and Leah as she obviously needs help and that hasn't been addressed.

Leah seemed to veer from criticising Ava has she has done to defending her when it meant going against Justin although she was better than yesterday.

Felicity made me laugh dancing and singing to motivate the class when Tane was finishing off.

I also didn't want Bree to tell Remi about the pregnancy but accept morally it was the right thing to do.

Personally I can't stand Lyric.  Don't like them collectively or as individuals.

Well, that was quite satisfying, even if the message seemed to be all over the place.Leah veered wildly between blaming Justin for everything and insisting Ava needed to take responsibility (with Irene and Roo not much more coherent), and even at the end when she saw how Justin had handled it, she looked pretty stony. It was a bit frustrating that Ava lapsed back into blaming other people after finally showing some guilt last episode, so hopefully Justin's given her a much-needed wake-up call. The final summation, that they both have to take responsibility for their own choices, was fair enough.

I enjoyed seeing Tane and Felicity happy together again and deciding "Stuff it, let's just get married." And also Felicity trying to help Remi. I think Rose overstepped the mark by warning Remi off Bree, although she did tell her he'd come round (albeit only after Irene mentioned he was looking for her).I for one am glad Bree told Remi: I think if she'd gone off and just had the abortion behind his back, then that really would be crossing a line. I fully agree that it's her choice, but I hope we don't yet live in a world where the father, or potential father, isn't even allowed to have an opinion.

Ava, as I have said before, was very lucky Conor was a good guy.  I'm in no way excusing Justin for battering Conor the way he did, but he's a dad, his teenage daughter has got in a van with an unknown bloke who could have been anyone.  He comes across the van, she's lying on a mattress in the back, he's putting his shirt back on what was he supposed to think.

:offtopic:Btw that VW of Conor's would be worth a fair bit nowadays.

It appeared there were onlookers who were trying to drag Justin off  before Rose and Cash turned up.

It did get very involved with a few people putting their twopenneth in when it's nobody's business but Leah's, Justin's and Ava's.

It could have been seen from the cops - as in Rose's - point of view the fact Ava wasn't saying anything was because something did happen and she was traumatised  and the fact she kept saying it was her fault so they, naturally, jumped to the wrong conclusion.   May not have been exactly following protocol  for Roo being allowed to take Ava home but Rose obviously got the OK.  Rose was there and Roo was acting as the appropriate adult. She did do well there, just a little prompting without speaking for her. The truth shocked both Roo and Rose that it was Theo she was expecting to turn up.  It would have been very scary for her to see her dad beating the hell out of a guy who was just helping her.

Leah didn't get the best news on returning home.   Btw Leah didn't abandon or bail on Justin to cope with Ava  alone -  are we forgetting the way she was treating Leah, barely able to be civil with her. Leah left so Ava and Justin could have some dad/daughter time which was needed though of course it didn't work out as hoped.

Not just the cops on Justin's back but Leah as well, I reckon I know who he'd prefer.

Shock for Ava finding  out her dad would be locked up for the night  but it seemed she tolerated Roo being  in the house and said "no thank you" to the offer of tea which was a switch from her being so obnoxious to others last week.   Ava was very relieved when Justin came home and Roo very wisely left them to it.   Didn't last long when Justin was trying to get her to say why she did what she did and she said it was because he was never there for and even when he told her he had no control over  the first time  and it was to keep her safe.  there were other times she brought up he could have been and wasn't.  Sadly though that does happen when parents split and they aren't close enough by to visit each week or so.  Wasn't there some arrangement made last time she was there that there would be regular visits, either her coming to the bay or  him going wherever Nina, Brian and Ava live?  Then she stomped off to her room, next we saw was her packed up to go home and and telling him she wasn't a child but a grown up which prompted him to decide what he did.  There must be plenty of so called adults who act like 16 year olds and younger.  I did wonder what he was going to do but I feel it was the right decision.  Ava needed to hear what could happen to him from an uninvolved person to fully realise it was very serious.  Yes it was partly down to her Justin got involved but he chose to beat Conor up.  Ava has acknowledged she needs to apologise to a lot of people which is a big step forward.  I do think there is more to her just getting a 'crush' on Theo and needing his attention as she has missed out on Justin's.  Has he never phoned/emailed/ spoken to her on line? Why didn't Nina pick up on any of this?   It would be a very long stretch of the imagination for Conor not to press charges and anyway the cops would.

I must say that every Ava lands in the bay she always gets in danger and or hurt and none of it has been down to her.  Gets run over by Luke, Ash's brother, next time round she's kidnapped by Boyd Easton and there was a standoff.  Also I think at one time she visited the Syndicate reared it's angry head.

Needed some light relief which came this time from Tane and Felicity, she was very hyper when she saw Remi busking.  They were getting twitchy as they couldn't track Cash or Eden down to see if they had get a date for them.  Then Tane makes a big - some may say foolish - decision that they are getting married tomorrow!  Can they do it that quick, what about arranging a celberant, pretty sure they  aren't just waiting by the phone for prospective brides and grooms to call them to get married on a days notice. ?   One good thing Flick is there to step in for Mac as she did for her, that's what good partners do for each other.

I felt Flick was a bit naggy with Remi demanding he tell her what was wrong.

No right or wrong way with Bree and her telling or not telling Remi she's pregnant, it's up to the woman to decide.  If a woman knows for sure who the father is there could be the argument that he deserves to know. A one off and she doesn't know who the father is for instance. But there is a little difference here as she isn't sure who the father is, it could be Jacob's son/daughter she is aborting, although it's not his/her fault who their dad is but some women can't  handle the fact he/she would always remind them of the dad, especially as it was rape. Yes OK half of them would be hers but he/she could look exactly like the dad.

She had gone to tell Remi that day even though they had split she felt he ought to know.  It would have always weighed on her mind if she hadn't told him, but as it could be Remi's depending how mature he is and whether feels he could be a responsible dad or agree now is not the right time for a baby for either of them.  I know it is risky and Bree would know but there is a test she could take  to determine the DNA of the baby before the birth.

:offtopic:Good to see Bree isn't a wear it once and throw it away person, she's worn that shirt a few times.

Nice to see John and Mali bond, be good for them both, Mali will need John on side to navigate the rules and regulations of the Surf Club and be good for John to have a younger man to knock about with.  Mali, I think, has quite an old head on his shoulders but knows how to fun too.
