Hi guys

Has anyone ever seen someone and thought they were doubles for H&A characters?

I know we can't post pics but may be if we do it through links it might be easier, would love to see what people come up with! ?

I think a younger Don Fisher, as seen in my avatar, looked quite a bit like Brookside character Callum Finnegan (played by Gerard Kelly), Callum was a gangster from 1997 to 2000 in the show who terrorised Lindsey Corkhill as she stole from Callum's family.

HUGE Brookie fan here (perhaps on a par with my love for H&A). I sure do remember Calum and remember thinking at the time how he resembled Don.

Thanks for bringing back such awful memories of Claire Sweeney attempting to sing like Cher in the "Friday the 13th" spin off though. "It's in his kuss!"

Actually, Calum's terror of Lindsey originated with his OCG's unlicenced "bouncering" of Bar Brookie. It led to a rivalry between Calum and Barry Grant (who Lindsey was sleeping with at the time) and culminated in Calum kidnapping her. She then did steal from his wife as revenge for his attempted rape during the kidnap - the wife and "our Linds" ended up as frenemies and she was instrumental in Lindsey meeting Shelley (who introduced her to bisexuality). This was right around the time Brookside well and truly jumped the shark (I feel that happened in 98/99; I personally liked the Nat and Georgia storyline).

Glad it is not just me who thinks Don Fisher looked like Callum Finnegan. In 1999, Callum was about the same age as what Don was in my avatar photo.

Brookside was wicked even in the late 90s when it gone off the boil a little. We'd get weeks of crap but then when something worthwhile happened it was good viewing (Millennium club explidion)

Finnegan met a sticky end at the hands of the last person you'd think; Dave Burns who was at best a dodgy two-bit pusher.

Brookside came along at a time when Corrie was showing its age, Emmerdale had yet to get fanbase and there will push/pull thing with Crossroads and ITV.

Okay, ummm to keep it relevant....

Richard Norton had a guest shot in Brookie  playing an actor who starred in "Sunset Bay" (Nice way to walk the line despite Home and Away existing in the Brookieverse?), who went and OD'd.
