Jackieleanne Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 I thought the average viewing figure's for the u.k were something around the 4m mark?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nah, the most h+a's ever done on five was 3 million and that was for the 1st ep they showed, which was heavily advertised. Still, I don't think it does badly considering it's channel, timeslot and level of competition these days. It will never get as good ratings as neighbours, but that fact has always been true. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yea I think Home and Away lost a lot of viewers in the UK when it switched to channel 5 lots of my friends used to watch it all the time and then because of the year break they forgot about it. It used to be competing with Neighbours back in its ITV days.
Andy Posted October 13, 2005 Report Posted October 13, 2005 Huge night for H&A again last night (Wed 12 Oct) with 1.61m viewers and 1st for the night.
star_girl Posted October 13, 2005 Report Posted October 13, 2005 Wow, the ratings just keep going up! It's amazing that after all these years it still has so many fans ...
Andy Posted October 21, 2005 Report Posted October 21, 2005 I've posted an article about ratings in the News and Gossip forum. You can read it here

Andy Posted October 24, 2005 Report Posted October 24, 2005 Seven have updated the H&A promos to reflect the current ratings. Promos now say "No. 1 Australian Drama" underneath the time and day.
starrychris Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 Yep. Home and Away was the 6th most watched show nationally last week. That is just amazing. WOW!!!! :D
Andy Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 Yep. Home and Away was the 6th most watched show nationally last week. That is just amazing. WOW!!!! :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 4th in Sydney. Soapie soars Daily Telegraph October 26, 2005 THE surprise ratings success of the TV year, Home and Away, continued its dominance on Monday night. It beat one of Seven's other hits of 2005, Grey's Anatomy, as the top rating show of the evening with 1.61 million viewers. Neighbours mustered only 990,000 viewers for the start of its plane crash episodes. Australian Idol continued to waver with 1.07 million viewers.
Jay Preston Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 That's very good for Home and Away obviously, and it looks like an improvement for Neighbours - they might break past 1 000 000 for once. Because it's been aaaaaaages
