Jamin Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 How do they know the ratings and how many people watch a show and stuff?
starrychris Posted August 26, 2005 Report Posted August 26, 2005 Through surveying Jamin. Great to see that Home and Away is rating so well. It was the 14th most watched show in Melbourne last week. It's ratings are really on the increase again which is good to see as the show really has improved the last few weeks.
Andy Posted August 26, 2005 Report Posted August 26, 2005 Monday 22nd: 1.57m, 2nd for night, 1st in timeslot Tuesday 23rd: 1.49m, 4th for night, 1st in timeslot Wednesday: 1.38m, 7th for night, 2nd in timeslot Thursday 25th: 1.32m, 5th for night, 1st in timeslot Friday 26th: 1.17m, 4th for night, 1st in timeslot Week Average: 1.38m, around 16th for the week.
starrychris Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 Wow, those figures are really good. That's an average of 1.44m viewers this week for the show. Definately close to the Top 10 shows.
James Martin Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 Need to beef up Fridays. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Coral posted something about this a year ago... Thursdays is late-night shopping and on Fridays the target demo go out. She reckoned that it's not that they don't watch, what happens is that they tape Thu/Fri and playback on Saturday mornings.
starrychris Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 I think Friday's television audiences in general across all networks and in all demographics, are much lower than other days. It's a shame that there is such a difference between Monday and Firday's episodes audiences, because the Firday eps really do bring the weeks average down.

Andy Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 Home and Away came second last night with 1.6m! (Greys Anatomy was 1st with 1.62m)
