Di Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 Ireland is farther ahead ? That's just not right ! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well my friend is from Ireland and he said hes in front of Me and i live in the Uk? Weird then... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ireland is no more than 3 to 4 week's ahead of the UK that's all.
Si-Co Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 Ireland are currently 8 episodes ahead of the UK, but all that is set to change as RTE in Ireland are taking H&A off for a month in August!
James Martin Posted June 23, 2005 Report Posted June 23, 2005 Don't Ireland always take a summer break? They did after the 2003 Mineshaft Disaster aired too I think. They'll be miles behind soon...
James Martin Posted June 23, 2005 Report Posted June 23, 2005 Yeah, but we still have 5.5 months of ground to regain which we can only do thanks to H&A's Summer and Olympic breaks down under. I think given we used to be the better part of 14 months behind we've done well to catch up so much in four years.
Theresa Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 I'm pretty glad we don't get breaks in the summer.... as I need to watch Home And Away every day. What else am I surpose to do hehe... but i would like a break in December as i'm always busy then and never have time. How we going to copy with the six weeks breaks when we catch up with Australia...
James Martin Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 Dunno, they may do what the Beeb do with Neighbours and ditch on bank holidays etc... I reckon the long-term plan may well be for both countries to show on the same day. The Seven screening will be at 8 or 9 in the morning here, therefore it will techincally be before Five's.
Ryan Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 Maybe they could screen classic episodes like Sally's wedding, Ailsa dying, the mudslide, ones with Gypsy in them.
