You know you are addicted to H&A when....

In my case I am more so addicted to 1988-2010 H&A but you know you are addicted to H&A when....

You hear the expression "galah" and "yarn" and "Sheila" and think of Alf Stewart.

You hear the surname Bateman and think of H&A creator Alan Bateman.

You walk on the promenade and beach of you hometown (Gt Yarmouth in Norfolk, UK) and think of Summer Bay beach.

You hear or see the surname Fisher and think of Don.

You hear words such as tug and Damo and think of the H&A characters.

For me it's knowing everyone by their actor names rather than character names.

If me and my friend were talking and I said Kyle, she knows I'd be referring to Kyle Pryor not Kyle Braxton, Matt Little not Matt Page etc.

You want to go back in a time warp to the cold, windy and dark night of 1st Feb 1988 in England, be walking around the town of Great Yarmouth that night, walking along the dark and windy promenade at night which is virtually abandoned, with the risk of getting mugged. And knowing that 10'000 miles away on the other side of the world in Australia, a 2 week old sunny, exotic beach soap opera was on air, featuring a foster family and a belligerent headmaster and a grumpy bait shop owner.

When you correct people on a forum for being slightly incorrect - deputy headmaster and general store owner - both became these things after that time....

When you stand at any beach and hear in your head "close your eyes Sal, you'll see it, you'll hear it, no matter where you are in the world"

You try and think of a solution to unanswered questions and write fanfics which feature actors you want cast in the show.

You spend a long time researching the pre televised development of the show, such as when they started casting, development before that etc.
