Hopefully they'll bring back some old faces like Sally, Pippa and Donald but I won't hold out too much hope.

Come on. The same people will probably still be in charge. It will be Brax & Ricky :rolleyes:

Brax and Ricky well return, and they well get a huge wedding. I am a genius!! :lol:. But seriousley. I agree show has not been the same since Sally left in 2008. She was really the heart of the show. When she left, the heart walked out with her tbh. Probably a ton of iconic characters well return. Donald and Sally high on the list of course;

If they do a death. I would like it to be left a mystery, being similar to us not knowing that Noah died in 2004. You could have so many old faces come back and attend the funeral (and include the dead person) and have it be revealed that this person is just a figment of Alf or someone's mind

I guess everyone has their own definition of who are the iconic characters, but for me, those characters (who are no longer around!) are Fisher, Pippa, Ailsa, Morag, Colleen and the original Fletcher children.

Of those, I don't think a return from Morag, Sally, Carly, Frank and Steven is out of the question, but I'm not sure about the others. Debra Lawrence seems to have moved on from Home and Away (though it could just be that Pippa has no reason to return!) and Norman Coburn and Lyn Collingwood will be in their 80s by the time the 30th anniversary comes around, so I imagine their part, if any, would be quite small.

I'd love to see Ailsa return, perhaps in a similar way to what Neighbours did with Madge.

They could asked Vanessa Downing to return if Debra Lawrence says no.

But what would bring the Fletcher kids back? There's not a lot to bring them back to the bay. With the sesquicentenary I believed them returning as they also got to see Sally (& Flynn obviously had a hand in it). A school celebration maybe '100 years of Summer Bay High'? That'd bring back a lot of the old 'kids' and Pippa could come as she worked there.

Storywise, I think Frank & Sally have the most potential as Roo is back in the bay for Frank and Sally has a few connections. Steven if he returned with Selina (assuming they're together as I've lost track).

For some reason I thought Steven married an Asian woman :unsure:

A school centenary could work - it would also bring back Fisher (another classic character) and others who would have presumably been students, such Celia, Morag, Lance and Martin :)

I can't remember who else was a principal/teacher, but there has been a few over the years, most of them far from "iconic". Andrew Foley, Natalie Nash, Judith Ackroyd, Donna and Roxy, Brad to name just a few.

Luke Cunningham - as long as he didn't have to share any scenes with Atticus Decker.

Grant Mitchell (could they get one over on Neighbours by tempting Craig McLachlan back?).
