alexx Posted September 22, 2016 Report Posted September 22, 2016 It feels like Angel has become a lot more on edge and anxious since they got married, she seemed a lot more 'with it' and in control during 93-94 and possibly even more 'mature' than she is now. Perhaps it was the car accident that's knocked her senses out of whack. I find it hard to swallow her love and trust in him if she's willing to just give up on everything like that without letting Shane talk to her about it. Why doesn't she trust him? He hasn't done anything like this before. I think it's Shane who should be questioning what their marriage is based on because it's certainly not trust. Angel's reaction just seems like it's come out of the blue, although it's becoming a regular cycle where they're reasonably happy for a short time and then Angel has an issue with Shane. I wonder if they deliberately changed Angel's character slightly because she definitely swings from one extreme to the other I find. She's either really happy, lovable and content or really anxious, quick to bite and stressed.
Luke39 Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 I just watched an episode on Plus 7, early years. IS it 1995? Damn the show has changed! First Scene was Donald Fisher, I Was like Home and Away my old friend!!! Hahaha. So much nostalgia. Shane and Angel, ahh takes me back to when I was 7, Angel was like my first tv crush, yeah at 7 I know. Isla Fisher, before she was a big star in the States. I am up to the episode, Shane kissed Shannon. Enjoyed it, actually alot more then current. But of course you already knew that. Also the opening credits, ahhhh. When is that going to return to current Home and Away? Anyway.
beau_t Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 The "echo" theme with alternate sax accompaniment debuted in Friday's episode.

Luke39 Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 So watched the episode Shannon told Angel I slept with Shane. Obviousley Angel had serious trust issues at that point. That she would easily beleive a very troubled Teenage Girls claims she slept with her husband. Not even giving Shane the chance to give his side, just presume it is true. And Damn Young Alf, Alf and Ailsa, that is going back a bit.

Old H&A Fan Posted September 24, 2016 Report Posted September 24, 2016 This is one of the best episodes ever!!! This, along with a couple of other episodes/storylines, has the brilliance that will not be quite the same ever again after the year is out.
beau_t Posted September 24, 2016 Report Posted September 24, 2016 What I like about this storyline is that it is Shannon - a main character - who has caused all this drama, and not just a guest character who was brought in to stir things up. As a result we have not only seen the build up to this (The Eric drama/being rejected by Curtis) but we will also see the fallout (anorexia), for Shannon, as well as all the Shane/Angel drama (which is nothing new!)
Bobby Forever Missed Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 Oh my god! Sally is such a brat! And it's so obvious that Gus threw the rock through the window! was he trying to KILL Pippa?? Jesus!
Luke39 Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 I agree with above. I like about the writing back then. IS the actors who are being portrayed are all long term. So its not like they bring in actors to mess a main character, or main stay up. And then leave. Their is more consistency, and continuity. And it leads to more development. Yeah Sally is a brat back then haha.
