Sam Barlow was a real criminal, Andrew Warren simply had difficulties understanding what Donna was doing with other guys and didn't deal with them the right way. Andrew Warren was a controlling bully who used violence to keep his girlfriend in line, which definitely makes him as bad as Sam Barlow, at least until Barlow got hold of a gun.
Old H&A Fan Posted May 20, 2016 Report Posted May 20, 2016 Yeah, just like how Rob uses violence to keep schoolkids online, yet Rob himself thinks Andrew Warren is a scumbag. Ever tried looking in the mirror Rob?
KittCatt Posted May 20, 2016 Report Posted May 20, 2016 Typical Shane- storms off in a huff instead of actually having a conversation to sort out the problem. And i don't feel sorry for Jack at all. I've seen 5 year olds who are more mature than him.
Old H&A Fan Posted May 21, 2016 Report Posted May 21, 2016 Yes, Shane was expecting too much when like he went about organising major modifications to Mr Fisher's house for Angel's wheelchair without once consulting him. Agree also about Jack.
Dan F Posted May 22, 2016 Author Report Posted May 22, 2016 When Ailsa mentioned Alf going off "to play Captain Hook", I was hoping there was a little in-joke there - sadly it seems Ray's panto that year was Jack & The Beanstalk and not Peter Pan
alexx Posted May 22, 2016 Report Posted May 22, 2016 ^I thought she said Captain Cook!? I'm finding Donna more interesting now that she's been given more to do and the now that Nicola Quilter has settled into the role. For a while I was wondering why I remembered her so fondly because the first couple of months she was really just drifting along. Nice to see a smile on Angel's face! Completely understand Donald's reaction.

Ah so she did, sound wasn't as clear on the TV as through headphones - makes more sense admittedly Strange to think how Carole Skinner would end up involved in another con storyline, in her later role as Peta's fake grandmother - maybe Annie Matthews was another alias of Mary/Janice Noticed a small continuity blip - Alf's mate that he went to Fiji with being named Geoff Mitchell - he'd later be renamed Geoff Marshall in 1997 (see the section at the very bottom of this feature for a pic)
Sunny Girl Posted May 23, 2016 Report Posted May 23, 2016 It's good to see Coral Drouyn started writing for the show as early as 1995. I like it when you can trace back writers and producers.
Old H&A Fan Posted May 23, 2016 Report Posted May 23, 2016 I am really beginning to dislike Alsa with her fascist attitude to Curtis and Laura. And how dare Mr Fisher talk down at them with his racist comments about upholding her country's standards!!!! What were they caught doing? Doing what teenagers in love normally do, and that is kissing.
