early years fan Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 Loved the drama of the Steve and dodge fight. Without a body, gives the impression dodge is still not dead and has made another escape into hiding again. Enjoyed the break from shangel while they were away on holidays, the focus seems to have shifted away from them lately and more towards the younger teen group. The minute angel returns she started with the incessant whining and nagging again, with the silly jealousy of Shane and Dylan's close relationship, and about money.... Tasma is a talented actress, enjoyed watching her in blue heelers also. Interesting the real life link to another home and away actress in the future, marrying Belinda Emmetts husband rove macmanus after Belinda sadly passed away.

home and away 1988-2000 Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 Such a shame that Dodge's body was never recovered or mentioned again, great storyline. 5 weeks until my all time favourite year begins! 1996. Also a bit of trivia but from the start of 1996 the Home and Away logo no longer appears on screen at the breaks and on the cliffhangers. As a bit of fun, Shall we make a list of what ITV edited that people can recall? I also for some reason seem to be have just lately this re occurring nightmare of episode 1954 not airing later this year, I don't know why but Its happened twice now.

I don't blame ya. I've explained about 1954 before, and got my head bitten off. I'll discuss it elsewhere.

I thought the logo stopped appearing at those times after the big credit revamp mid-96? It was nice to see some of Kelly's backstory and meet her sister, I'm not sure the acting was at a level ready to carry a cliffhanger like that. Good to have Angel and Shane back, I don't think Angel has been irritating since their return. She seems to have mellowed out a bit and seems a bit more mature and level headed now. The Sally/Jack storyline has been a bit strange. I haven't warmed to them as a couple, it feels forced and uncomfortable somehow. It feels realistic, but just odd. I can't put my finger on it really.

Dan F Posted February 24, 2017 Author Report Posted February 24, 2017 Yes the graphic certainly lasts on the cliffhanger for a while yet, below pic from March 1996. Spoiler

I found it really unnecessary to make them a couple.
