beau_t Posted December 10, 2016 Report Posted December 10, 2016 Why isn't Friday's episode on the plus7 player?
Skylover Posted December 11, 2016 Report Posted December 11, 2016 Is there something in particular in 1995 which caused the writers to pay so many references to the past? In 2 consecutive episodes I've just watched there were references to Tom, Sally's parents, Dale, Meg, Laura, Selina's miscarriage, as well as obviously returns by Damian, Marilyn, Steven and Bobby...

And Barbara Stewart too.
beau_t Posted December 11, 2016 Report Posted December 11, 2016 On top of this Milco, Blake, Karen and Roo were mentioned, Spoiler Dodge returns soon, and Fisher is definitely being written more like his 1988 self. I think the writers are just making a conscious effort. It's a shame Morag wasn't in their minds.

alexx Posted December 12, 2016 Report Posted December 12, 2016 I think that they may have been making references to past characters and story lines because the show was taking a pretty big step in a new, more dramatic and emotional direction and they wanted to reassure the audience that it was still the H&A they loved and followed. It actually feels a lot more like the 1988 era than previous years Imo, whilst staying very fresh and unique.
Guest Posted December 13, 2016 Report Posted December 13, 2016 Friday's episode. Felt sorry for Nelson reliving the whole thing. Steven trying to help him which I'm not sure he did or not maybe in a way. Murdoch is dead didn't like him anyways and we all know Spoiler Dodge murdered him. Will TEY have a Christmas break or play right through to the new year?

I kinda found the way he said he needed a "Jimmy Riddle" after that bus trip that day, and that Selina had "bullants up her pants" funny! BAHAHAHAHAHAHA Where's your sense of humour? It's a pity Irene and Selina don't do a 6-month stint on remand (even if they are found Not Guilty by the court in the end) because they bloody well deserve it, let me tellya

In 1995 ratings were falling and Channel Ten brought out a soap to rival Home and Away called Echo Point. The producers at the time put in a lot to try and win old fans back and keep the viewers from switching over.
