CaptainHulk Posted August 12, 2015 Report Posted August 12, 2015 Well, I saw Half of 1453 (Mainly the Sports day scenes), which had become "previously available" a few years ago. Shane is the only one who left the grounds after Don told them not to, so he should cop for it instead of leaving everyone for the High Jump (Pun intended ). At worst Jack and the Girls were out of position but still on school grounds and Damo covered for Shane. And yes, I want to leap into the screen and shake the the hell out of Fin and tell her she's acting like a nut! DI think Angel does like Jack but in a sort of "Amusing Little Brother" way. Comedy Hijinks to ensue next week with Shane's little stunt thatLeaves Jack and Don red-faced
Natasha Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 " I thought we were in love" wow, emotional blackmail much Hayden? You have Fin wrapped around your little finger. Can't believe shes stuck with you.
Old H&A Fan Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 "love" is the mind-numbingly most common method of blackmail in Home And Away unfortunately.........
dees189227 Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 Wow what a shock the horse lost. Hayden was acting like the horse had won the way he was carrying on.
dncllpyk Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 I can't believe Fin gave Haydn the money I wouldn't of given it to him if I was her.
j.laur5 Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 Alf should not have spoken to Irene the way he did in today's episode. It was rude and disrespectful!
CaptainHulk Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 Even the Great Alf Stewart has his unreasonable D-bag moments but they're few and far between.
alexx Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 Haven't caught up yet but just got to the episode Michael finds Hayden in Sydney. Got to say that I'm loving 1994 just as much as I did back then, particularly knowing what's to come and all of the changes that take place over the next 12 months. It's sort of the last of the very 'Early Years' of the show, the production values have increased we're getting a far more 90's vibe and it's strange to think that we've only really got another 10/12 months of the old piano scores before the orchestration music starts creeping in.Irene is absolutely awesome, really enjoying Hayden's return, Luke and Tug's friendship is really touching and feel's really genuine, it sort of reminds me of the Travis/Curtis friendship later on. Adam got a feel good exit and I'll really miss him. The current show could really do with a character like Adam, not a gangsta, not a bogan, not a hunk or a model, just a true blue Aussie who makes mistakes but has a decent heart. I can't believe how far the show has veered away from writing relatable Aussie characters. We're all still here, so why doesn't the show start to focus on us again instead of the hipster/gangster niche - keep that for shows based in and around the city, not Summer Bay.Continue to enjoy watching Damo and Shane and Sarah has started to develop a little more and there's a good chemistry between her and Angel (actors onscreen chemestry).Looking forward to seeing Jack's arrival!
Homeandawayfan. Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 I remember all these episodes when they first were broadcast and watching them really is a trip down memory lane. We are fast heading to the Golden Era which was 1995 and 1996, the era many say is the best in H&A history. I would add 1988-1989 and 2000-2004 to that as well.
CaptainHulk Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 I would personal say the Shangel Period is firmly in the middle of the original Golden Era (1988-97, IMO). But I will agree 1995-97 was the absolute Zenith. No Births, Deaths or Marriages in this year but people were still watching and 7 and ITV promoted the show rather well.
