Aside from the fact Jason Smith and Chris look very physically different, Robbie was meant to be 15/16 and Chris Hemsworth looked about 10 years older. Chris was also very wooden which means he probably would have drained Robbie of all the personality he had.

In 1990 when Vanessa Downing quit they called back Jackie Woodbourne and Debra Lawrence as they were the last 2 on the shortlist and then Debra Lawrence got the role.
