Was Martha MacKenzie SORASed? She was born in the shows run in 1988 but I heard she was meant to be about 18 in 2005.

I remember when Tasha first arrived in 2003, I thought she would turn out to be Martha, as we were told we would be shocked when we found out who her mum was!

I thought the age difference was bigger than that.. She was born in September 1988, meaning she should have been 16 (nearly 17) when she first arrived. Perhaps because she had so many adult storylines (marriage/divorce, babies, cancer, losing her husband etc.) that I thought she was older than what she was.

It´s surprising how many things a woman can experience from she is 18 til she is 25

I have always been disappointed that the writers have never explored a young committed relationship growing to maturity. They have always either gone into a tedious round of make ups and breakups or the couples have left the show.

My choice probably would have been Rick and Mattie. I suppose the writers have always battled against the young cast members desire to move on to other opportunities.

Edward and Peta or Robbie and Tasha would have been. But sadly they all left too soon.

I liked Edward and Peta.

It is true - although I guess the issue is that the younger cast never stay in H&A very long. I like the fact that there have been many of the younger couples who have left the show together so that we can at least pretend that they are living happily ever after

Characters I felt left too soon

- Rocco and Johnny Cooper - I thought Rocco was a compelling character and would have loved him to have stayed in the bay longer and had a chance for happiness. As for Johnny - I thought he was a great villain, and while I think that kind of character needs to come to an end at some point, I wouldn't have made him staying longer

- Angie Russell - she was the best villain - her manipulation of Nick was one of the most uncomfortable things to watch, and yet compelling at the same time. Even the writers realised their mistake and decided to rectify this by bringing the actress back as Angie's cousin

- Rosie Prichard - she was so much more likeable and relatable than half of the current teenagers.

- Tamara - in the last few weeks, she really showed what potential she had as a character when she wasn't flitting between Kyle and Casey.

- Ailsa Stewart - would love her still to be at Alf's side now

- Roman Harris - I felt he was an interesting character and his departure was so unsatisfying

There are other characters such as Morag and the Poulos family that I feel should return at some point.
