Bushfire at Palm Beach

There is currently a bushfire at the Palm Beach headland. There are reports of people trapped near the lighthouse as the path has been cut off. Hope everyone will be ok.

Hope everyone is ok, and the lighthouse buildings survive. I was there only 2 months ago and it's a beautiful area.

It's scary for the people trapped there, I've done that walk too and there is literally no where to go if the path is cut off

The Alert has been downgraded from Emergency which is the highest alert to the next one down which is Watch and Act.

WOAH !!!! Agree that it's such a beautiful area. I knew that there is bushfires waaaaaaaay happening in NSW at the mo, but i didn't realise that they were Palm Beach way !!!

Thoughts of when "Summer Bay House" was destroyed in a bushfire around 8 years ago !!!

Shane has tweeted that the fire is now out but part of the headland is a bit scorched.
