Barbara Posted September 1, 2013 Report Posted September 1, 2013 Mum's the word for Jodi and Braith Anasta August 25, 2013 Jo Casamento Sun-Herald social columnist Actor Jodi Gordon and her Wests Tigers footballer husband Braith Anasta are celebrating the news they are having a baby. The couple, who have reached the three-month mark in the pregnancy, have sold their baby news in an exclusive $25,000 deal with Woman's Day, Fairfax Media has learnt. While the celebrity couple were staying mum last week, speculation was prompted at the opening of The Corner Store on Wednesday when Gordon turned up in an oversized Stella McCartney coat. The actor, who was sipping ice tea all night, is known for her love of tight dresses, setting tongues wagging that she was hiding a bump. Friends have since confirmed the news. Gordon, who now goes by her married name, has made no secret of her desire to fill her house with kids. Source ---------- Congratulations to Jodi and Braith! Off topic: Is there a reason why journalists often use 'actor' instead of 'actress' in English? If the word 'actress' exists, then why not use it? It's something I see regularly and I don't get it.

Lise Posted September 2, 2013 Report Posted September 2, 2013 That's great news! I don't know why they use actor for both men and women but actress is optional for women.
