It is a good episode I must admit.

It seems very random to show them at that time. Perhaps they're testing the waters and plan to revive Home and Away: The Early Years?

I hope so because I'd really like to get the early 00's archived on DVD.

Take my advice if they do start showing the 00's eps again...

Invest in a cheap DVD player with a USB port and avi/mp4 playback. If you can also grab a good converter then you would be better off archiving via a external hard-drive than DVD's. I tried it that way a few years back but soon realised that it would take loads of time & effort to make the DVD's and they corrupt very easy.

But yes, it does seem strange that these are being shown and I hope they are testing it out.

That...sounds a bit weird.Trying to work out if they're consecutive episodes or not.Actually they have been putting episodes on in the afternoon but I assumed they were just repeats of the previous day.

Anyway, today's episode...hmm.I think this was the point where the audience all turned against Ruby en masse and frankly I can see why:Her reaction to the news might be realistic but it's far from likeable.Morag didn't come across as that likeable either, rolling her eyes at Angelo and snapping at Martha when she hasn't really deserved it.Interesting to look back at the period when Hugo was still a nice guy rather than a supervillain, he probably comes across best here with the way he managed to get through to Martha.Shame Ruby wasn't in the mood to listen.Xavier was pretty ineffective when Ruby first told him what was going on but at least he listened to Hugo.Shame he ended up being punished for being the voice of reason while Ruby latched onto Geoff for being an enabler.

Oh-and Michael Williams from Neighbours as the grieving father.(But not then obviously.)

I got some awesome news...

According to radiotimes, whose tv guide goes up to the 1st of Sept.... 5* are showing double eps at 4pm. It is continuing through the non-wedding and the first Sutherland ep is also being shown. This is looking good, yeah?

The 2 eps on 2nd September are also listed as 'Home and Away: The Early Years', which is of course what they named them on the original repeat run in 2007.

Given that they dumped them after only 6/7 months last time it's probably best not to get hopes up too much - they may not even continue after the summer break.

I've already emailed someone at Channel 5 to see if we can get any clarification as to whether it'll be ongoing.

Guys you'll never believe what I just saw in my TV guide!!!

I accidentally skipped to next Tuesday on my EPG and it said that at 4.00 and 4.25 two 2000 episodes will be shown.

The first one is where Edward breaks down after being diagnosed with Huntington's disease and the other is the lead-up to Sally's non-wedding to Kieran!

I'm so excited. :D

Finally episodes that I will watch!!!!
