CaptainHulk Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 They wimped out presumably because they'd feared they'd catch up too fast.
Blaxland 89 Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 Nice to hear the old sands resorts restaurant music being played in the first scene while Bobby and Sam were waiting in the lobby. Do you think that's a Perjanik composition. I prefer Marilyn's hair before. She now looks more like she did in 1990 again. Maybe you could say that Revhead tried to be good when he left the bay but found it hard and then fell in with a bad crowd instead and that's how he ended up assaulting someone. Yes, Ailsa likes under dogs, like Bobby and Emma. But she never liked Alison for example, or people that dont help themselves. Really enjoying these episode. Loving Donald Fisher and the moment too.
Natasha Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 Poor Donald. Its basically out with the old, and in with the new. I hope the community will support him and sign the petition Ailsa, Pippa and Michael are organizing.
Rach81 Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 My dvr didn't record the episode today! Very upset when I got home from work to watch it!!! I'm assuming it was on? Can you let me know what happened- I was very keen to find out about Blake and Hayden's predicament! Haha!
Old H&A Fan Posted March 19, 2013 Report Posted March 19, 2013 Michael spoke to them in a very aggressive voice, telling them NEVER to EVER look at "magazines like that" because they are "degrading to women". Some prejudiced, narrow-minded bigoted feminazi pulling the script producer's strings there
Old H&A Fan Posted March 19, 2013 Report Posted March 19, 2013 Oh and in today's episode, Hayden and Blake shied away from Michael and Pippa's "offer" (which was just an act, and joined in by Sally and Sophie) to show it to the whole family. Blake and Hayden grudgingly said "oh no it's not exactly family viewing" and regurgitated Michael's exact words that the video in question (like the magazine) is "degrading to women", and so Pippa and Michael seemed happy now that Hayden and Blake have "learnt their lesson" even if it is just rote learning, just sweeping the issue under the carpet, denying the fact there will always be porn, men will always look at porn, and sexual desires have always been and always will be there regardless of how much it is denied and swept under the carpet. You should have seen the way Pippa put on a song and dance about it, got really angry with Michael like some sort of drama queen, accusing him of watching the X-rated video himself. Pippa makes errr.... inhibited, coded remarks about the .... errr.... "intimate side of things", saying she and her husband were ...errr ..... not doing very well with "the intimate side of things" in jumping to the conclusion that Michael was watching pornographic videos. Meanwhile, speaking of things denied, Sophie gets really exasperated and angry at Marilyn for even thinking of going out with David, then at the end of the episode, admits she wants him all to herself. Is there any sex ed in Summer Bay???

Natasha Posted March 19, 2013 Report Posted March 19, 2013 Blake and Hayden were amusing the past couple of episodes. Those two will always get into strife one way or another. Loved how Michael decided to teach them a lesson.
Old H&A Fan Posted March 20, 2013 Report Posted March 20, 2013 What do you mean Michael "taught them a lesson"? What does "degrading" mean, why is that word used specifically in that context and rarely in any other context outside the subject matter of pornography, and why isn't it explained on the show? Why is porn addiction never openly discussed, why aren't the real, down-to-Earth issues being dealt with properly instead of just being touched on the surface and everything else denied?
beau_t Posted March 20, 2013 Report Posted March 20, 2013 I think porn was quite openly discussed in a storyline between Miles and Jai circa 2008 or 2009. It depends whether the stroryline is intended to be serious or light-hearted filler. In this case with Blake and Haydn I assume the storyline was supposed to be a light hearted one and therefore it wouldn't "dealt with properly".
