nenehcherry2 Posted March 2, 2013 Report Posted March 2, 2013 I missed a lot of 91 until a few months ago. So I missed Sam being in it the first time around, He is such a cutie. One thing confused me Bobby mentioned he was 7 a couple of episodes ago then in yesterdays episode she mentioned he was 6. At least Sam didnt fall to grow up in two seconds disease where he was a little kid one day than a couple of years older later. And the same actor played from beginning to the end. Sally is growing up now. Hard to believe she is nearly 12. They did a similar thing with Carly at the very beginning of 88 - in one ep she was 17 then a few eps later she'd gone back to 16! Also, Bobby definitely said to Don in Sam's first stint that he was 8 - he really is growing backwards!!! With Sally, whilst she was always a 1979 baby, her birthday seemed to get earlier and earlier in the year. In 1991, it was July but I'm almost certain her 21st was in Feb 2000. A bit like Bobby - in early 89, she says she was born in December 1970. And then when she first decided to foster in Jan 91, Don commented that she was "barely 21" (presumably she'd been aged a year) and then her birthday in 1993 was in March (don't think an age was given). Ages and birthdays were generally inconsistent in those days of H&A - it was very rare that ages were explicitly stated, and even rarer that birthdays were shown on screen!
rachel1990 Posted March 2, 2013 Report Posted March 2, 2013 It only just hit me a few days ago but out of the five 'original' foster kids only Sally remains. That is quite scary for me because it shows how quickly the early years have gone, Talking of which I can only think of 5 original cast members remaining of Sally,Bobby, Alf, Alisa and Fisher. Am I correct? Jackie proved to be a decent mother by giving up Sam. Pity after Bobby died in 1993 and Greg left Sam she wasn't mentioned. It's scary how fast we have got through 1991. David's arrival really does spell the end for Karen now which is quite scary.
beau_t Posted March 2, 2013 Report Posted March 2, 2013 It only just hit me a few days ago but out of the five 'original' foster kids only Sally remains. That is quite scary for me because it shows how quickly the early years have gone, It also shows how special the reunion in 2000 was. It had been years since the whole family (minus Lynn and Tom) had been together in the same place at the same time. It's easy to forget how special that was since a lot of them have returned numerous times since.
Ryan Posted March 2, 2013 Report Posted March 2, 2013 Matt was around at the start, but he did disappear for 100 episodes at 1 point. I mean, how can you forget Matt?
j.laur5 Posted March 2, 2013 Report Posted March 2, 2013 Only 6 more months until the Meg storyline ends, and is that the last episode of Sons and Daughters?

Natasha Posted March 3, 2013 Report Posted March 3, 2013 Matt was around at the start, but he did disappear for 100 episodes at 1 point. I mean, how can you forget Matt? Very easily. LOL, I agree. I sometimes forget all about Matt until he pops up. he's just so...forgettable.
j.laur5 Posted March 3, 2013 Report Posted March 3, 2013 Only 6 more months until the Meg storyline ends When did it begin? It does not begin for other couple of months. I am just posting it with out giving out any spoilers.
Ryan Posted March 3, 2013 Report Posted March 3, 2013 I think j.laur has got his sums mixed up, because it's about 6 months till she arrives and it will be around November/December when the storyline finishes. It is an interesting point though as H&A's companion in the morning will be finished.
