I can only think of the top of my head of two characters appearing in the same episode with the same name.

Scott Phillips and Hunter

Pippa Ross and Saunders

Great to see the boat disaster again. And a cracking online episode tonight as we head into the Coral Drouyn era. The show really started to regain its' modjo in 2002 after a few years in the wilderness. Paula Forrest and Tammin Sursok were fantastic actresses.

The centenary anniversary is the first episode I've watched fully since they started repeating the 2000 era. Only because I wanted to see Blake and Sophie though! I was surprised to be interested in the Sutherland drama but I think it's only because I loved Kirsty in her 2008-2009 stint. The family doesn't seem to work as well without Kirsty's dramas...

Ah, Will and Gypsy's exit, sailing off into the sunset never to be seen again.[burns tapes of 2010/11:It's so frustrating how the current writers completely ignored the responsible couple they'd matured into by this point.]I did enjoy watching that episode and they had come a long way by then.Nice touch to have a farewell with Dani, surprised there wasn't one with Hayley.Nick investigating a potential intruder with a baseball bat in one hand and a stuffed rabbit in the other was utterly wonderful, especially since no-one commented on it.I always like to think he and Jade did end up using that ring one day, nice to see them together again. Why exactly was Colleen at the wedding given her oft-mentioned dislike of Gypsy, could she just not bear to feel left out?Nathan's return:Nice continuity, um, in a way.Yes, there's time for Sarah to have reunited with a guy she broke up with nine years previous and for Nathan to have undergone a personality change from slippery charmer to moody sulk that's even more drastic than the fact he's about half a foot taller with a different head but...still.Despite that, his scene with Alf actually played out well.

Wow, it was a bit of a shock to see that mix of old and new characters in the sesquecentenary episode. Some characters looked younger than they did in the '80s, others had obviously aged.Interesting to see Matt again now I know who he is.Never quite sure about Sophie's black hair, wonder if she went to the same hairdresser as Sally. Some good character stuff:Celia's attempt to be disapproving towards Don and June ending in embarassment, Martin and Lance carrying on like they've never been away.I think this was actually the first time Kane and Kirsty spoke to each other, they barely met during his 2001 stint. Again, it's frustrating that the character development Dani and Kane have undergone by this point was completely junked the next time he came back...and that was only a year later.Every time I see a 2002 episode I think how harsh Shelley had become by this point, which is a shame. Not too sure about the slow motion "Mu-u-u-um!", it's one of those things you giggle over if you're in the right sort of mood.

Quoted for TRUTH.

These old episodes are making me realise how disillusioned I am with the current show. :(

I know, I never liked either Sophie or Sally with that black hair. They both looked much nicer with their natural brown hair.
