Going back to the credits, in the 1997 ones were some of the shots always that stretched? Curtis for example and also Casey.

I'd forgotten they'd cut the theme that much too - I'd remembered that they'd taken out "Let me be the one..." but to cut the whole intro and going straight into "You know we belong together" was always a bit rushed - I think I probably thought it was ITV going into the show late.

Yeah I always remember those shots being stretched.

Re the scene on the beach with Isobel and Rebecca I couldn't hear half of that they said due to the surf crashing away in the background! I'm with those who said Rebecca filled in Isobel about the family history off-screen. It would have been nice to hear Isobel's side of what happened between her and her husband (Don's dad), we only got his side and may have not realised the understanding his parents had. Did they reconcile in the end?

Irene's giving birth was pretty realistic, given the time it must have aired. Joey was certainly very cool about it, his time in the commune did come in handy. Did the cops help them get to the hospital in time?

Had to smile when Irene broke up Chloe and Selina's row by coolly mentioning there was something that needed more urgent attention. :D

I do so remember the commune fire, all those so-called cool folks running about like headless chickens while Joey, Irene, Jesse and ? just walked in and broke down the door to the cabin, then found Saul and Selina. As for him surviving the fire, one of those soap 'miracle escapes' Red! Sorry edward I always liked Jesse.

The closing credits at the then present time, were a bit freaky all that fading in and out.

Btw what is this 7two everyone keeps mentioning?

Nope, the Sal/Flynn/Hunter house first started out as the home of guest characters Sean Ellis and his daughter Daria, before James Fraser and others moved in. The Nashes were the only one to live in this house before Robert Perez burnt it down.

Not quite sure what Five are doing to the end of these closing credits - they're cutting down the final shot (adding their own copyright/year text) and the rest of the theme is playing out over the Seven logo.....they did the same on Friday

Completely useless trivia - the house being used as Terri's house was later used for Sean Jefferies' (Aden's brother's) house in 2005 when he took Flynn hostage following Ric's beating - it's no longer standing but has been photographed for the locations section anyway :P

Yes that ending looks very odd. Why are channel 5 doing that? The music doesn't fit properly.

Think it was a shot a Pippa as she wasn't in that first 1998 ending credits but she was still in the show.

They did it on the 2nd 1997 episode yesterday when Pippa was still in it - as far as I can see they're not actually cutting any of the previous shots out, just cutting that last one out extremely early. I had wondered if they originally had the website or suchlike appearing on them, but after comparing them with some of the Living repeats there's literally nothing on that last shot other than the year.....so I'm baffled.

Though saying that, there did seem to be a rather abrupt cut a few seconds into 2099's closing credits yesterday, as opposed to the dissolves usually used between shots.
