More tears rolled down Bianca’s eyes as the words were unable to escape Charlie’s mouth. She sat down next to Bianca and placed her hand on Bianca’s shoulder as Bianca turned around to look at Charlie. ”What am I going to do?” she cried as Charlie shushed her and wrapped her arms around her body. ”Are you sure you’re pregnant?” Charlie stupidly asked. Bianca scoffed and dried her eyes a little. ”Well unless the pregnancy test is lying then I guess I am” ”You only took one though maybe it was faulty? I’ll go buy some more and...” Bianca shook her head. ”There was two in the packet. The other’s in the bin and both were positive. I’m pregnant Charlie” Bianca held her head in her hands crying silently and sniffling a little. ”I can’t do it” she said at last. ”I can’t have a baby I don’t want and I don’t love” ”It’s not gonna be easy” Charlie admitted. ”But being a mum is the best thing in the world and...” ”NO!” Bianca’s firmness shocked Charlie a little. ”I’m not keeping it” ”You’re just in shock Bee” ”No Charlie I’m not. I’m too young to be a mum - it’s already like I have a teenager with April” ”You know April will help. And me, Irene, Ruby. Everyone’s here for you” Charlie I just can’t please can we stop talking about it” Charlie sighed a little. ”If we stop talking about it that doesn’t mean that the pregnancy doesn’t exist” ”I know but for one night please just to get through the dinner with the girls. Please Charlie” ”Fine but I’m making you an appointment with the doctor. Maybe Sid can fit you in sometime next week” Thanks Charlie” Bianca stood up and hugged her as she sighed against Charlie. ”Do you want me to stay or shall I...” ”No you go I’ll meet you at Angelo’s” Bianca smiled bravely drying the remains of her tears and sorting out her hair. ”We’ll talk later remember not a word not even to Ruby” ”I promise” Charlie smiled as she walked out the door. ”Love you Bee” ”Love you too Charles” Bianca replied as she stared down at the test once more. She flung it into the bin before walking out of the door. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Later that evening Charlie and Ruby arrived at Angelo’s. Ruby noticed her mum’s silence and tried pestering her but Charlie was true to her word leaving Ruby puzzled. The two sat down in a nearby booth as they waited for Bianca and April. Charlie noticed Brax staring at her or rather what she was wearing. The tight purple dress complimented her figure and she knew it’d drive him crazy especially as she wasn’t in the mood to talk to him. He tried to smile but she was too wrapped up thinking about Bianca. Brax came up to the girls and asked them their drink orders but kept his eyes firmly on Charlie who did her best to ignore him. Ruby chattered away oblivious to any awkwardness between her mum and boyfriends brother. ”Hey Rubes, Sergeant Buckton what can I get ya?” he asked looking at Charlie as he did so. She kept her head down as she did so leaving Ruby to deal with Brax. ”Well we’re just waiting for Bianca so I’ll have an OJ please. What about you mum?” Brax smiled a little when Ruby said mum as he knew how much it would have pleased Charlie. Even now Charlie still smiled every time Ruby called her mum. She gazed at Brax and blushed a little but Ruby was too hyper to notice. ”Erm I’ll have a white wine please” she smiled as her daughter wrapped her arms around her. Brax smiled and nodded at the girls before making his way to the bar. Ruby shut her eyes for a brief second as Charlie’s eyes followed Brax to the bar, watched him get their drinks then bring them back to the table. He mouthed something at Charlie but she couldn’t make it out assuming she’d her it again anyway. Ruby sipped her drink as she turned to Charlie making small talk about school and how things with Casey before. Their relationship had never been closer and this pleased both girls immensely. Their small talk was interrupted when Bianca walked into Angelo’s closely followed by April. April was beaming from ear to ear but Bianca stayed lost in her own thoughts wearing a fake smile as she faced Charlie and Ruby. The two Bucktons rose and hugged April and Bianca before all four girls took their seats. Ruby waved at Brax to come over again as he hurried over quickly, willing to do anything to see his gorgeous girlfriend up close. ”Bianca, April” Brax nodded as he received twin smiles of the sisters. ”Can I have an OJ please Brax” April smiled at him before turning to Bianca. ”And I suppose Bianca will have a red wine or a vodka and coke” she smiled knowing her sister well. Charlie spluttered a little as Bianca glared at her so Charlie quickly covered with a cough. ”Actually I’m going to join my adorable little sister with the OJ please” she replied as Charlie breathed a sigh of relief. Charlie smiled at Bianca while April chattered away to Ruby. ”So Bianca when are you due back at school?” Ruby asked as she sipped her OJ. Brax returned and placed the drinks in front of the girl as he winked at Charlie. He smiled showing his dimples before walking away. ”Erm I’m not sure yet maybe next week. You missing me Rubes?” Bianca replied cheekily. ”I am the best languages teacher after all” Ruby grinned. ”Well you got me to pass Spanish so I definitely think you’re some kind of miracle worker” ”Gracias Senorita!” Ruby groaned a little as April laughed. ”Please not here! Spanish is okay at school but nowhere else please!” ”You want to try living with her. She’s singing Spanish lullabies in the shower. ”April” Bianca whimpered as Charlie and Ruby laughed hysterically. Charlie glanced at Bianca as lullabies were mentioned but Bianca pretended to take no notice. Brax came up again and took their food order as the girls laughed and joked. Both April and Ruby were pleased with how well Bianca and Charlie were doing and agreed to do this again. Charlie got up and went to the bathroom noticing Brax’s smile increase as she showed off her petite body. She adjusted her dress and licked her lip[s before entering the toilet knowing Brax was loving every second of it. Bianca followed Charlie into the toilet as she glanced at herself in the mirror. She exhaled deeply as Charlie stepped out of the cubicle. Bianca turned around to face her before smiling weakly. ”It’s been a good night” Charlie said, unsure if Bianca wanted to talk about the baby or not. ”I think I’ve drank too much” ”You’ve only been on OJ’s” Charlie replied confused as Bianca leaned against the sink. ”Not tonight I mean since the attack i’ve been drinking a lot. What if I hurt the baby? What if...what” Charlie took Bianca’s hands into her own and looked into her eyes as Bianca looked ready to cry. ”I’m going to take you to the hospital and we’re going to see if everything is okay” she smiled. ”You can do this Bianca and you’re going to make an excellent mum” Bianca’s smile faded as she broke of eye contact. ”I can’t” she replied at last. ”I've been thinking. I can’t be a mum to a baby I’ll never love. Maybe it’d be better for me to give it away to someone who would love it and care for it and provide for it” she broke off at the end as Charlie hugged her best friend. ”Bianca please think about this” ”There’s nothing to think about Charlie. I've made up my mind. I’m having this baby and giving it away. It’s the best for everyone” Bianca dried her eyes as Charlie let go of her hands. She turned around and walked out the door as Charlie glanced in the mirror before holding her head in her hands. As she glanced at her reflection in the mirror Charlie saw herself a pregnant child lonely and scared. But now she thought of the relationship between her and Ruby and Charlie never knew she could love someone as much as she loved Ruby. Having a child was a precious gift and Charlie knew it was her duty to make Bianca see the same.

I do hope that Charlie can help Bianca see everything from another perspecitve. April and Ruby chattering in Angelo's was good. I hope that Bianca's baby is okay with the drinking and everything. Interested to see where you take this next... Update soon please

I love the friendship between Charlie and Bianca and how you portray that in your writing too. Really well written. I enjoyed it. Well done. I look forward to more. Love Carina xxx
